Netflix released the trailer for the upcoming second season of Locke & Key. In it we see the first footage of a new villain played by new series regular Kevin Durand. Season two premieres October 22.

Off the heels of Midnight Mass, Netflix has ordered a new series from Mike Flanagan. The Fall of the House of Usher is based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. The eight episode limited series will not be connected to any of his other works. Flanagan also created The Haunting series for the streamer. 

The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow will reach its 100th episode on October 27. Wentworth Miller will be appearing as Captain Cold following his departure from the series early in its run. Other special guests will be popping up for the special episode. Caity Lotz will be directing and the episode will revisit past Legends seasons through the eyes of the Waverider’s A.I. Gideon who has been there through all the cast changes over the seasons. Season 7 premieres on its new night on Wednesday, October 13. 

Pamela Adlon’s FX series Better Things is coming to an end with season 5. The series launched in 2016. The final season is currently filming. There is no premiere date set yet, but will likely be in 2022. I will miss this series a lot! Check it out if you haven’t yet! It’s well worth it.  

Webtoon’s Batman: Wayne Family Adventure is getting a live action adaptation. The first three episodes of the popular Webtoon launched on September 8 and have built up a strong fanbase for the series. The three episode live action miniseries will stream on Ismahawk’s YouTube channel in 4K. The trailer for the adaptation will premiere October 11 with a premiere date to come later.

Bellamy Young has been cast in ABC’s upcoming midseason drama series, Promised Land. The series also stars John Ortiz and Christina Ochoa. Young will portray the nemesis of Ortiz’s character. The series follows two Latinx families vying for wealth and power in California’s Sonoma Valley. 

Damian Lewis has booked his first role after exiting the Showtime series Billions. Lewis will lead  the limited drama series A Spy Among Friends along with Guy Pearce. The six episode limited series follows the true story of Nicholas Elliott and Kim Philby, two lifelong friends and spies, one of whom was betraying the other. The series will air as a Spectrum Originals and is a co-production with BritBox UK. 

Larenz Tate has been promoted to series regular on Power Book II: Ghost. Tate was an original cast member of the mothership series Power. He recurred in season one. Season two premieres November 21 on Starz. 

USA Network’s America’s Big Deal is the first live shoppable competition series and it comes from Joy Mangano. Each week competitors will take the stage to pitch their product to America and the person with the highest dollar sales at the end of the show will win the chance to strike a life-changing deal with one of the three retail giants including QVC, HSN and Lowe’s. The series premieres October 14. 

Season two of 90 Day: The Single Life begins streaming on Discovery+ November 12. The new season will see two singles from different “90 Day” relationships connect and spark an interest in each other after ending things with their American exes.

Mark Burnett and MGM Television are teaming with the MLS to develop a new reality series focusing on soccer. The competition series will offer players the opportunity to join the upcoming new team Charlotte FC. Each episode will see players eliminated until the winner is chosen to join the team. 

Discovery’s Bering Sea Gold returns for an all new season October 26. Discovery released a sneak peak at the upcoming episodes which will also be available to stream on Discovery+. 

The Kids Tonight Show premieres on Peacock October 14. Two episodes will drop weekly and will be hosted by an ensemble of four amazingly talented and quick-witted kids, this is the show where the kids are in charge. Upcoming guests include JoJo Siwa, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, Yara Shahidi, Meghan Trainor, Kristen Bell, Questlove & Tariq, Tituss Burgess and Celina Smith.
