Season four of Netflix’s Cobra Kai is set to premiere on the streamer December 31. Season 4 finds the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang dojos joining forces to take down Cobra Kai at the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament, and whoever loses must hang up their gi. Season two of Syfy’s Resident Alien is set to premiere January 26 along with a new series Astrid & Lilly Save the World, a High School set monster hunter series. The second season of Resident Alien will be split in two halves with the first half finale airing March 16 and part two will air in the summer. 

The trailer for Season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race is out and reveals some of the celebrities set to appear on the new season. Judging this season are Lizzo, Alicia Keys, Taraji P. Henson, Andra Day, Loni Love, Christine Chiu, Ava Max, Nicole Byer, Ts Madison, Alec Mapa, Dove Cameron and Dulce Sloan. Jennifer Lopez, Sarah McLachlan, Norvina and Leslie Jordan will also appear. The new season premieres January 7. 

IMDb TV has renewed Leverage: Redemption for season two. The reboot series’ first season consisted of sixteen episodes which are all available now along with the original series complete five seasons.

Netflix has canceled Cowboy Bebop after one season less than a month after it premiered on the streamer. The live action adaptation of the classic anime series suffered delays and poor critical reception upon release. 

MTV’s Jersey Shore Family Vacation is set to return for season five on January 6. The new season will also see the official return of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. The new season will see the family head to the Florida Keys for the first time ever. 

Adult Swim’s Smiling Friends will premiere January 9. The series pilot aired on April Fools Day in 2019 and received positive reaction. The series follows a small company dedicated to bringing happiness to the world that receives a simple request to help a woman’s unhappy son smile again, but the job turns out to be more complicated than it seems.

Walker will return to The CW two weeks earlier this January, now premiering January 13. Thursday night companion series Legacies will still return January 27. 

Mark Hamill, Carla Gugino, Frank Langella, Mary McDonnell, and Carl Lumbly have joined the cast of Mike Flanagan’s next Netflix series The Fall of the House of Usher. The eight episode limited series is an adaptation of multiple Edgar Allan Poe works. 

Amandla Stenberg will play the lead role on Disney+’s upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte. There are currently no details about the character Stenberg will be playing. 

The entire six episode first season of Peacock’s Wolf Like Me starring Isla Fisher and Josh Gad will premiere January 13. Gary is an emotional wreck and struggles to provide for his daughter since the death of his wife. Mary has a secret she can’t bring herself to share with anyone. The universe brought these two together for a reason, they just need to keep following the signs. 

Freeform has ordered a new animated series titled Praise Petey. Annie Murphy, John Cho, Christine Baranski, Kiersey Clemons, Amy Hill and Stephen Root will all voice characters on the series which follows a New York City “it” girl who has it all until her life comes crashing down around her. As luck would have it, a mysterious gift from her father gives her a new lease on life: she’s going to “lean into” modernizing his small-town cult. 

The CW announced the host and team captains for the upcoming comedy panel series Would I Lie to You? based on the British series of the same name. Aasif Mandvi will serve as host with Matt Walsh and Sabrina Jalees as team captains. Celebrity guests for the season include Brooke Shields, Amber Ruffin, Laura Benanti, Actor, Michael Ian Black, Andrea Martin, Julie Klausner, Jordan Klepper, Adam Pally, Chris Gethard, Dulcé Sloan, and Preet Bharara. A date for the series will be announced later. 

Anthony Anderson and Daniela Ruah will join Cedric the Entertainer on the upcoming back-to-back episodes of The Greatest #AtHome Videos. Paula Abdul and Shaquille O’Neal will also make appearances when the episodes air December 17 on CBS. 

TLC’s new series I Am Shauna Rae will premiere January 11. Diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer at six months old, Shauna’s treatment allowed for remission, but resulted in a side effect no one predicted. She stopped growing. The series follows the life of 22 year old and 3’10 Shauna Rae. 

Season six of Showtime’s Billions will premiere January 23. The trailer for the new season is out now.

HBO’s new drama series about the LA Lakers has been given the title Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty. The fast-break series will chronicle the professional and personal lives of the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers, one of sports’ most revered and dominant dynasties, a team that defined an era, both on and off the court. The series will premiere in March.

Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon is set to premiere on Paramount+ December 23. The series originally aired on Comedy Central, and was then revived for a new season on Quibi before it shut down. 

Docuseries Welcome to Wrexham will air on FX in 2022. The series comes from Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and follows the dreams and people of Wrexham, a working-class town in North Wales, UK, as two Hollywood stars take ownership of the town’s historic yet struggling football club. The series has a two season order currently. 

AMC+’s upcoming vampire fantasy series Firebite will premiere December 16. The trailer is out now.
