Netflix’s The Pentaverate will premiere May 5. An unlikely Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth about the world’s oldest and most influential secret society. The series stars Mike Myers, Ken Jeong, Keegan-Michael Key, Debi Mazar, Richard McCabe, Jennifer Saunders and Lydia West. 

Disney Channel’s newest series are all about Villains and Superheroes. The Villains of Valley View and Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion will both premiere June 3. The Villains of Valley View is centered around a teenage supervillain and her family as they are forced to uproot their lives and change identities It will premiere with two back-to-back episodes. Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion follows Mexican American teen Violet Rodriguez who is chosen by a magical luchador mask that transforms her into the superhero Ultra Violet. It will also premiere with two back-to-back episodes.

Animated series Dodo premieres on HBO Max April 28. The series centers the everyday school life through the eyes of 11-year-old Joe Connolly as he navigates the pitfalls of his first year at high school. The smallest events mean big drama for Joe who is just trying to fit in. He may have lost his school trousers or sent a text message to the wrong girl, but with his friends Frisbo, Pete and Lily at his side he somehow triumphs over adversity and lives to see another school day.

Prime Video’s new series The Summer I Turned Pretty, an adaptation of  the book by Jenny Han,  premieres June 17. The series is a multigenerational drama that hinges on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer. 

NBC has renewed Capital One College Bowl for a second season. The series is hosted by Peyton Manning. Capital One returns to award $1 million in life-changing scholarships, providing all the student competitors with tuition assistance for their participation. The winning team will take home a scholarship and claim victory as champions.

Gaius Charles has joined the cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead spinoff series Isles of the Dead. He joins Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan who will reprise their roles of Maggie and Negan. The series will take place on the island of Manhattan. The six episode season will premiere in 2023. 

Another new series from Judge Judith Sheindlin will be streaming on Amazon Freevee. Tribunal will star judges Patricia DiMango and Tanya Acker along with Sheindlin’s son Adam Levy, a former district attorney. Petri Hawkins-Byrd, the former bailiff on Judge Judy, will serve as bailiff. 

HGTV’s newest series Buy It or Build It will premiere May 18. The series stars Dallas-based twin brothers and contractors Chris and Calvin LaMont. During the series, the guys will help clients decide whether to renovate an existing home to fit their lifestyle or build a new home that is completely customized to their needs. Based on each clients’ budget, Chris will find properties with potential and share how he’ll use the budget to give the home a fresh look, while Calvin will wow them with sketches of a newly built home at the same price point. Once clients decide whether to buy or build, the siblings and business partners will deliver the perfect dream home for each family. 

Hulu has acquired the streaming rights to comedy series Schitt’s Creek. All six seasons will be available on hulu October 3. The series currently streams on Netflix. 

HBO Max has ordered new versions of the reality series FBOY Island. The series will get local editions in Denmark, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands. 

AMC has added cast for its two Anne Rice series. Maura Grace Athari has joined the cast of  Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire. Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches has added Tongayi Chirisa as a series regular along with Annabeth Gish, Beth Grant, Erica Gimpel and Jen Richards as recurring. Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire seven episode season will premiere later this year. Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches will consist of eight episodes. 

ESPN has teamed up with Athletes Unlimited to air over 160 games of women’s softball and lacrosse. Games will air on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN+. 

Prime Video is set to air 12 One Championship MMA fights per year. The deal will last five years. The streamer is heavily getting into live sports including getting the rights to Thursday Night Football for the upcoming new season.
