Season two of The Cuphead Show! premieres August 19. The series follows the unique misadventures of lovable, impulsive scamp Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman. 

The new season of Documentary Now! premieres on IFC October 19 with two episodes. Guest stars for the upcoming six episode season include Alexander Skarsgard, Nicholas Braun, Cate Blanchett, Jamie Demetriou, Trystan Gravelle, Jonathan Pryce, John Rhys-Davies, Harriet Walter, Tom Jones and more. 

A&E’s new live event series Court Night Live premieres August 10. Hosted by Vinnie Politan and Judge Greg Mathis, with analysis from retired Judge Vonda Evans, the series will see civil cases from across the country litigated live from pop-up courtrooms in Philadelphia, Tampa, and Chicago in front of a gallery of community members. During each broadcast, viewers will have the chance to have their voices heard voting on the verdicts in select cases in real time via text message. Politan, Mathis, and Evans will provide context and bring their legal perspectives to viewers so that they can better understand how the wheels of justice turn. 

New episodes of True Crime Story: It Couldn’t Happen Here premiere on SundanceTV September 1. Hosted by small-town native, advocate, justice seeker and actress Hilarie Burton Morgan, the series puts a spotlight on murder cases from small towns across America that will rollout weekly on Thursdays and will be available one week early on AMC+. In each episode, Hilarie meets with family members and local insiders to explore each unique story and the impact and challenges of small-town justice. 

Ink Master returns on Paramount+ September 7. Joel Madden will join the series as host, with former Ink Master winner Ryan Ashley, celebrity tattoo artist Nikko Hurtado and industry veteran Ami James serving as judges. Former host Dave Navarro returns to the series as the “Master of Chaos,” introducing crazy twists and game-changing bombs to the competition. The ten episode season will see legendary fan-favorite artists return to compete in the ultimate tattoo competition. The artists will battle it out and face some of the biggest, most exciting and epic challenges seen in the history of the competition, all for the biggest grand prize yet: $250,000 and the title of “Ink Master.” 

Netflix’s limited series Devil in Ohio premieres September 2. When a psychiatrist shelters a mysterious cult escapee, her world is turned upside down as the girl’s arrival threatens to tear her own family apart. The eight episode series stars Emily Deschanel

Peacock has ordered the coming of age series Hysteria! to series. When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them. 

Rosanna Arquette will recur in the upcoming third season of ABC’s Big Sky. She will play Jenny Hoyt’s mother. The new season which is also titled Big Sky: Deadly Trails will see the addition of Reba McEntire and Jensen Ackles. 

Laura San Giacomo has joined the cast of Disney+’s The Santa Clauses. She joins Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell who will reprise their roles from The Santa Clause film franchise. David Krumholtz will also appear. 

Season four of In Pursuit with John Walsh premieres on ID August 24. John Walsh’s lifelong mission is to bring fugitives to justice, find missing children and empower the public to help support a more effective and accountable criminal justice system. In the twelve episode season, John Walsh and his son, Callahan Walsh, introduce ID’s active and engaged audience to unsolved violent crimes that urgently need to be solved. Following the premiere, a new special will air titled In Pursuit: Hot on the Trail. The special will take a deep dive into cases, give real-time updates, and perhaps most poignantly, provide a deeper understanding of the Walsh family mission, which has driven the Walshs for 41 years since the abduction and murder of six-year-old Adam Walsh. Moderated by special correspondent Michelle Sigona, a variety of experts involved with the cases will round out the hour, highlighting the incredible results from the first three seasons, and imploring a call to action to help find more fugitives and recover more missing children. 

CMT will celebrate country icon Vince Gill with CMT Giants: Vince Gill, premiering September 16. The special brings together Gill’s superstar friends, collaborators and some of the biggest names in music to honor him with performances of his most legendary hits. Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Emmylou Harris, Keith Urban, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Reba McEntire, Ricky Skaggs, Rodney Crowell, Sting and more appear in star-packed special honoring Gill’s storied career. The special will additionally feature an all-new sit down interview with Gill as he reflects personally on his career, his classic songwriting, musical influences and his future plans, all blended alongside rare photos, performance footage and interviews from the vault. 

PBS has renewed Alma’s Way for a second season. The new season will premiere Fall 2023 and consist of 25 episodes and two specials. The series follows 6-year-old Alma Rivera, a proud, confident Puerto Rican girl who lives in the Bronx with her parents; younger brother, Junior; and Abuelo as well as a diverse group of close-knit and loving friends, family, and community members. The series showcases Latino cultures through music, food, language, and more. 

Docuseries The Diana Investigations premieres on discovery+ August 18. wenty-five years ago, a fatal car accident took the life of the beloved Princess Diana of Wales, devastating the world. Through intimate interviews and archival footage from the world’s top big wave surfers, climbers, big mountain snowboarders, polar explorers and kayakers, the ten episode series gives viewers a front-row seat to adrenaline-filled adventures, uncovering how athletes adapt and evolve, even after being confronted by fear, devastating personal loss, and Mother Nature at her harshest. Witness how some of the world’s top athletes prepare mentally, physically and emotionally for their high-stakes endeavors. 

The 2022 VMAs have announced the first performers set for the show. Anitta, J Balvin, Marshmello x Khalid and Panic! At The Disco will perform live from New Jersey’s Prudential Center August 28 on MTV.
