The fifth and final season of Mayans M.C. premieres on FX May 24 with two episodes. The ten episode season follows the life of Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, president of the Mayans M.C. charter on the Cali/Mexi border. Once a golden boy with the American Dream in his grasp, EZ has now risen to lead his brother Angel and the Santo Padre M.C. in a bloody war against their rival Sons of Anarchy. Defending the California territory and patch begins to claim lives within the club and causes strain between EZ and Angel – as one brother devotes himself to the club and the other to family. Felipe attempts to heal these fractured bonds for the future of the Reyes family.
Limited series White House Plumbers premieres on HBO May 1. The series takes the audience behind-the-scenes of the Watergate scandal as Nixon’s political saboteurs, E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy, accidentally topple the presidency they were zealously trying to protect… and their families along with it. Chronicling actions on the ground, this satirical drama begins in 1971 when the White House hires Hunt and Liddy, former CIA and FBI, respectively, to investigate the Pentagon Papers leak. After failing upward, the unlikely pair lands on the Committee to Re-Elect the President, plotting several unbelievable covert ops – including bugging the Democratic National Committee offices at the Watergate complex.
Netflix’s Scott Pilgrim anime series is coming soon to Netflix. Reprising their roles from the 2010 film adaptation Scott Pilgrim vs. The World are Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhabha, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Alison Pill, Aubrey Plaza, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, Johnny Simmons, Mark Webber, Mae Whitman, and Ellen Wong. Paramount+ has ordered a new Star Trek series titled Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The series will follow the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy. It will introduce us to a young group of cadets who come together to pursue a common dream of hope and optimism. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they will discover what it takes to become Starfleet officers as they navigate blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns on Bravo May 7 at 8. Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Shereé Whitfield, Drew Sidora, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross are back for more. Monyetta Shaw-Carter and Courtney Rhodes join this season as friends. New series Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard will follow May 7 at 9. For more than 100 years, Black vacationers have flocked to Martha’s Vineyard, an island south of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and one of the first beach destinations where African Americans could vacation and purchase property. NBC has canceled Dancing With Myself after one season. The dance competition series aired last summer and starred Nick Jonas, Liza Koshy and Shakira. Camille Kostek served as host.

Daniel Espinosa and Ronnie Sandahl have teamed up for a new Swedish Netflix series The Helicopter Heist. The limited series is based on Jonas Bonnier’s novel of the same name. One early September morning in 2009, eyes from around the world turn to an inconspicuous Stockholm suburb. A helicopter has landed on the roof of the country’s safest cash depot, and the police can only watch as the robbers disappear along with several million dollars. Not a single shot is fired. The Helicopter Heist is a feverish and absurd story of betrayal and vindication, of fear and fatherhood. But maybe most of all: a grand and fast-paced Icarus tale about winning or losing it all.

CMT has set an all-star Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute for the 2023 CMT Music Awards. The celebration comes 50 years after the launch of the band’s debut album, following the recent passing of final original group member, guitarist Gary Rossington.
