The fifth and final season of Mayans M.C. premieres on FX May 24 with two episodes. The ten episode season follows the life of Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, president of the Mayans M.C. charter on the Cali/Mexi border. Once a golden boy with the American Dream in his grasp, EZ has now risen to lead his brother Angel and the Santo Padre M.C. in a bloody war against their rival Sons of Anarchy. Defending the California territory and patch begins to claim lives within the club and causes strain between EZ and Angel – as one brother devotes himself to the club and the other to family. Felipe attempts to heal these fractured bonds for the future of the Reyes family. 

Limited series White House Plumbers premieres on HBO May 1. The series takes the audience behind-the-scenes of the Watergate scandal as Nixon’s political saboteurs, E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy, accidentally topple the presidency they were zealously trying to protect… and their families along with it. Chronicling actions on the ground, this satirical drama begins in 1971 when the White House hires Hunt and Liddy, former CIA and FBI, respectively, to investigate the Pentagon Papers leak. After failing upward, the unlikely pair lands on the Committee to Re-Elect the President, plotting several unbelievable covert ops – including bugging the Democratic National Committee offices at the Watergate complex.

Netflix’s Scott Pilgrim anime series is coming soon to Netflix. Reprising their roles from the 2010 film adaptation Scott Pilgrim vs. The World are Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhabha, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Alison Pill, Aubrey Plaza, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, Johnny Simmons, Mark Webber, Mae Whitman, and Ellen Wong. Additional voices will be announced at a later date. 

Citadel premieres on Prime Video April 28. Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency – tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people – was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows. With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives. They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts. Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick, who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order. Mason seeks out his former partner, Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an effort to stop Manticore, all while contending with a relationship built on secrets, lies, and a dangerous-yet-undying love. 

Paramount+ has ordered a new Star Trek series titled Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The series will follow the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy. It will introduce us to a young group of cadets who come together to pursue a common dream of hope and optimism. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they will discover what it takes to become Starfleet officers as they navigate blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself. 

The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns on Bravo May 7 at 8. Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Shereé Whitfield, Drew Sidora, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross are back for more. Monyetta Shaw-Carter and Courtney Rhodes join this season as friends. New series Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard will follow May 7 at 9. For more than 100 years, Black vacationers have flocked to Martha’s Vineyard, an island south of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and one of the first beach destinations where African Americans could vacation and purchase property. Known for its natural beauty with pristine beaches, romantic sailboats, colorful gingerbread cottages, and cultural identity, this summertime sanctuary has become a favorite escape for the rich, famous, and politically connected. The series follows a group of 12 friends as they enjoy their island getaway. With beach parties, decadent dinners, and summer hookups, both fun and drama are in store for these young Black professionals and entrepreneurs. 

Jewish Matchmaking premieres on Netflix May 3. From the producers of Indian Matchmaking, Jewish Matchmaking features singles in the US and Israel as they turn their dating life over to top Jewish matchmaker, Aleeza Ben Shalom. Will using the traditional practice of shidduchim dating help them find their soulmate in today’s world? 

NBC has canceled Dancing With Myself after one season. The dance competition series aired last summer and starred Nick Jonas,  Liza Koshy and Shakira. Camille Kostek served as host. 

Apple TV+ is developing Jonathan Eig’s book Luckiest Man: The Life and Death of Lou Gehrig as a series. The potential series would follow the life of Lou Gehrig. 

All five seasons of the acclaimed drama series Orphan Black are now streaming exclusively on AMC+. The announcement comes in celebration of the series’ tenth anniversary. New series Orphan Black: Echoes, which is set in the world of Orphan Black and stars Krysten Ritter, is coming soon. The new series takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. It follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unraveling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal. 

Cooking reality series Fast Foodies will get a nine week run on Food Network starting April 13. Kristen Kish, Jeremy Ford and Justin Sutherland compete to perfectly recreate and then skillfully reimagine a celebrity guest’s favorite fast-food dish. These culinary masters come prepared to showcase their love of pop culture, fast-food legends and their expert skills to win the “Chompionship Trophy.” The series originally aired on truTV. 

Daniel Espinosa and Ronnie Sandahl have teamed up for a new Swedish Netflix series The Helicopter Heist. The limited series is based on Jonas Bonnier’s novel of the same name. One early September morning in 2009, eyes from around the world turn to an inconspicuous Stockholm suburb. A helicopter has landed on the roof of the country’s safest cash depot, and the police can only watch as the robbers disappear along with several million dollars. Not a single shot is fired. The Helicopter Heist is a feverish and absurd story of betrayal and vindication, of fear and fatherhood. But maybe most of all: a grand and fast-paced Icarus tale about winning or losing it all. 

Corbin Bernsen has been cast in HBO Max’s Duster. He will recur in the series from J.J. Abrams and joins Josh Holloway and Rachel Hilson. 

Barrett Foa has been cast in Netflix’s Shondaland mystery drama series The Residence. He will recur alongside Uzo Aduba, Randall Park, Andre Braugher, Susan Kelechi Watson, Ken Marino, Jason Lee, Bronson Pinchot, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Edwina Findley, Molly Griggs, Al Mitchell, Dan Perrault and Mary Wiseman. 

CMT has set an  all-star Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute for the 2023 CMT Music Awards. The celebration comes 50 years after the launch of the band’s debut album, following the recent passing of final original group member, guitarist Gary Rossington. The ceremony will air live April 2 on CBS from Austin’s Moody Center. 

Queenmaker premieres on Netflix April 14. After a tragic accident, a powerful fixer uses her skills to transform a civil rights lawyer into the next mayor — and take down her former employer.

Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars premieres May 24 on Fox. The series puts food industry entrepreneurs through a multitude of challenges designed to showcase their business skills, test their drive and convince Ramsay they have what it takes to earn his personal investment of $250,000. 

Nature docuseries Big Beasts premieres on Apple TV+ April 21. Filmed over two years, the series takes audiences on an epic journey around the globe, from freezing poles to tropical rainforests, to meet nature’s most captivating giants. Narrated by Tom Hiddleston, the series  features some of the world’s most massive species filmed across 17 countries, including the gray whale, the elephant seal, the giant otter, the gorilla, the hippopotamus, the brown bear, the ostrich, the orangutan, the tiger and the polar bear. Viewers will see that it’s not easy being big – the larger the animal, the greater the challenges they face – as the series captures rare and first-ever footage using specialized equipment and next-generation filming techniques. 

Season three of Sharkdog premieres on Netflix April 27. Half shark, half dog with a big heart and a belly full of fish sticks! Together, Sharkdog and his human pal Max can take on any silly or messy adventure.
