Fox has renewed comedy series Animal Control for a second season. The series follows a group of local Animal Control workers whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not. McHale stars as Frank, an opinionated, eccentric Animal Control officer who may not have gone to college but is still the most well-read person in the room. A former cop, Frank tried to expose corruption in his department, but his efforts got him fired, which may explain why he’s so cynical and curmudgeonly. He has an almost superhuman ability to understand animals. Humans…not so much.
Season two of Good Omens will premiere on Prime Video July 28. The new six episode season explores storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley. Having been on Earth since The Beginning, and with the Apocalypse thwarted, Aziraphale and Crowley are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery. Michael Sheen and David Tennant return as angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley.
Comedy Central has renewed Digman! for a second season. The series follows celebrity archaeologist Rip Digman and his team of experts who travel to dangerous parts of the world to unearth legendary artifacts and grow their reputations as fearless adventurers. The animated series stars Andy Samberg, Mitra Jouhari, Tim Robinson, Dale Soules, Guz Khan, Melissa Fumero and Tim Meadows.
Limited series The Crowded Room premieres on Apple TV+ June 9 with three episodes. The series starring Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried follows Danny Sullivan, a man who is arrested following his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979. From the challenges of raising Gen Z teens to the dilemmas of being a liberal in a hyper charged political climate, Sykes, renowned for her social commentary, delivers her insightful and ferocious wit and candor audiences have come to know and love. The special was filmed in early February 2023 at the Miller Theater in Philadelphia.
Part 3 of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series is coming to Netflix June 23. These episodes will be the final ones for Ash and Pikachu’s adventures.
