Onyx Collective’s The Other Black Girl premieres on hulu September 13 with all ten episodes. The series is based on the book by Zakiya Dalila Harris. Nella, an editorial assistant, is tired of being the only Black girl at her company, so she’s excited when Hazel is hired. But as Hazel’s star begins to rise, Nella spirals out and discovers something sinister is going on at the company. 

Season two of Killing It will premiere on Peacock August 17. The series is a comedy about class, capitalism, and one man’s quest to achieve the American Dream. But first he has to overcome vicious criminals, nature run wild, and worst of all, corporate America. 

Season six of The Chi will premiere on Paramount+ with Showtime August 4 and on Showtime August 6. This season, life reverberates between the highest highs and lowest lows. Big dreams are finally realized but at a cost and everyone will be tested in unimaginable ways as they calculate the risks and rewards of their next big move. Emmett and Kiesha’s blissful blended union is tested by his insatiable drive to expand Smokey’s and a new perilous partnership, while Kiesha finally races toward a rewarding new career. Douda deals with the fallout of Q’s murder and its effect on the shifting loyalty of his inner circle. Victor’s bold declaration of love for both his new girlfriend and his beloved community will impact his political ambitions. Happily married Jada mentors Emmett and her besties as they navigate relationships. Kevin is becoming a brilliant master gamer but struggles with the youthful pitfalls of early independence. Jake launches a new business, and Papa falls for an older woman while questioning his faith. What will become of their pursuits will be revealed over the course of this season’s sixteen jaw-dropping episodes.

The English dub of anime series Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon will premiere on Crunchyroll July 19. The future of this fantasy world now lies in the hands of…a vending machine! Boxxo was once a human, until he died in an accident and was reincarnated as a sentient piece of machinery. While he can still hear and see, there’s no way for him to move by himself or speak more than his programmed phrases. How can he make the most of this strange new life?

Kings of BBQ premieres on A&E August 12. The series follows Anthony Anderson and Cedric The Entertainer as they embark on a cross country barbeque adventure to learn all they can about the best techniques, flavors, and traditions while also working to launch their own brand, AC Barbeque. They will meet with barbeque chefs, pitmasters and everyday experts who share their knowledge and secrets of the trade, highlighting Black Excellence in the industry along the way. With the launch of AC Barbeque in stores nation-wide, Cedric and Anthony aim to take grilling to the next level with their signature flair and laugh-out-loud antics. The duo will do it all to master barbeque in all its glory and create a business that honors its legacy and flavors. The friends will travel to the Memphis in May BBQ festival, fire up the grill to feed the LA Rams, stop by backyard cookouts, and return to their hometowns for inspiration from friends and family. 

Season five of Love Island USA premieres on Peacock July 18. Set in Fiji, the new season will feature a new group of sexy singles on a search for love in a beautiful villa. Throughout their stay in a tropical oasis, Islanders will couple up to face brand new heart-racing challenges and bigger twists and turns than ever before. Temptations will rise and drama will ensue as new “bombshells” arrive throughout the season, forcing Islanders to decide if they want to remain with their current partners or recouple with someone new. Islanders will also be at the mercy of viewers at home who will vote to determine who gets another shot at love and who leaves the villa heartbroken and empty-handed. Sarah Hyland will return to host alongside UK comedian Iain Stirling who reprises his role as narrator. Ariana Madix will surprise the Islanders with a special guest appearance during the series’ second week. 

Netflix has renewed Quarterback for a second season according to executive producer Peyton Manning. The first season focused on quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota during the NFL season. 

Revenge thriller Wilderness will premiere on Prime Video this fall. The series follows Liv and Will, a happy British couple who seem to have it all. A rock-solid marriage. A glamorous new life in New York. A golden future stretching ahead of them. Until Liv learns about the affair. Heartbreak is swiftly followed by another emotion: fury. Enter the American road trip Liv’s fantasized about since she was little, from Monument Valley to the Grand Canyon, on through Yosemite, ending up with a hedonistic weekend in Las Vegas to blow off the dust and sweat. The series stars Jenna Coleman, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ashley Benson, and Eric Balfour. 

A new season of Good Bones premieres on HGTV August 15. Indianapolis-based mother/daughter home renovation and design team, Mina Starsiak Hawk and Karen E Laine, will continue to buy dilapidated Indianapolis properties, take them down to the studs and renovate them into beautifully renovated family homes for sale. This season, Mina will help both of her younger siblings, sister Kelsy and brother Tad reimagine their new homes, while the rest of the Good Bones crew take on a slew of new renovation projects. 

Ana Garcia has joined Lifetime’s Beyond the Headlines as host. A new six episode season will premiere August 5. The series centers on various cases of shattered families torn apart by crime, survival stories of abduction, toxic love triangles, cases of brainwashing, fights to protect endangered children, and crimes committed by parents. Through powerful storytelling incorporating first-person interviews, expert analysis, and special footage, Beyond the Headlines draws inspiration from past Lifetime movies and provides a deeper understanding of the events and emotional human stories that captured public attention. 

Toby Keith is set to receive the Country Icon Award at the 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards. As a pioneer in country music and one of the most influential artists of all time, Keith will be recognized for his decades-long career as a groundbreaking musician, humanitarian and entrepreneur. Hosted by Little Big Town, the ceremony will air live on September 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT across NBC and Peacock from the world-famous Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. 

Untold Volume 3 will kick off a four week event starting August 1. The series pulls back the curtain on epic tales from the wide (and wild) world of sports. Viewers are taken on a journey with Jake Paul as he aims to revolutionize the fight world, witness the rise and fall of Johnny Manziel, and delve into the dark web spun by Victor Conte and Balco, entangling top athletes in a steroid controversy. The Love Experiment will premiere on MTV August 15. Three single best friends will enter a literal “hall” of eligible men, who are all ready to commit. Inside this dating utopia, the women are in control as they search for real love. But they quickly realize having too many ideal choices is harder than it seems. In the end, they’ll have to answer the question, “If you’re offered everything you want… will you ultimately choose what you need?” Mari Waugh (Spicy Mari), will help guide the women through this experiment as a relationship expert.
