Netflix has renewed The Upshaws for a final season, Part 7, consisting of twelve episodes. Part 6 will premiere in early 2025 with the final part to come later. Bennie Upshaw, the head of a Black working class family in Indianapolis, is a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess just trying his best to step up and care for his family – wife Regina, their two young daughters and firstborn son, the teenage son he fathered with another woman — and tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law, all without a blueprint for success. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and make it to the next level, together. In this upcoming part, the Upshaws continue to ride life’s ups and downs, including new jobs, bigger dreams, health struggles and some major life surprises but still hanging on with the love that comes with family.
Season three of The Legend of Vox Machina premieres October 3 on Prime Video with three episodes weekly. The twelve episode season returns with a new and exciting title sequence. The Chroma Conclave’s path of destruction spreads like wildfire while the Cinder King hunts down Vox Machina. Our lovable band of misfits must rise above inner (and outer) demons to try and save their loved ones, Tal’Dorei, and all of Exandria.
Exploding Kittens premieres July 12 on Netflix. Earth sucks, so God gets fired and sent to Earth to reconnect with humanity. The catch? He’s trapped in the body of a chubby house cat. As part of Godcat’s rehabilitation, he moves in with a dysfunctional family and tries to solve their problems, but ends up spending a lot of time chasing laser pointers. And to top it off, Godcat’s next-door neighbor, who is also a cat, turns out to be none other than his nemesis, the Antichrist. The result is the ultimate fight between good versus evil… except, Godcat is distracted by a pigeon he saw in the yard and Devilcat is busy napping on someone’s laptop. The series is based on the card game of the same name.
The second season of the animated Gremlins series will be titled Gremlins: The Wild Batch and premiere June 8 on Max. The new season follows Gizmo, Sam, and Elle as they travel from their home in Shanghai to San Francisco, bringing even more magic, mystery and Mogwai mayhem. Hot on the trail of a new brood of evil Mogwai, our heroes journey deep into the American West, coming up against new supernatural creatures and picking up a few mysterious characters along the way.
Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premieres August 9 on Paramount+. The series explores the adventures of everyone’s favorite pizza-loving heroes as they emerge from the sewers onto the streets of NYC. Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey are faced with new threats and team up with old allies to survive both teenage life and villains lurking in the shadows of the Big Apple. Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, Brady Noon, and Ayo Edebiri reprise their roles from the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
Food Network has renewed Wildcard Kitchen for a second season. In the weekly high-stakes culinary card game, host Eric Adjepong takes over the test kitchen after-hours with an exclusive invitation for three chefs to bring $5,000 to play across three hands of his underground culinary poker game. The competitors, who all know each other well, have scores to settle and personal stakes to lose as they battle to create dishes based on the cards they are dealt and bet using their own instincts and cold hard cash.
The heavyweight fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson and the rematch of Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano has been rescheduled for November 15, 2024 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The special will stream live on Netflix.
Jessica Camacho has joined the cast of Prime Video’s upcoming new series Countdown. She joins Jensen Ackles in the thirteen episode season. The series starts following a suspicious murder in broad daylight, which leads to LAPD officer Mark Meachum being recruited to join a secret task force of undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement to investigate. But as the truth of a more sinister plot comes into focus, the team must overcome their conflicting personal agendas to unite and save a city of millions.
Nick Wechsler has been cast in NBC’s upcoming midseason series The Hunting Party. He joins Melissa Roxburgh, Patrick Sabongui, Sara Garcia and Josh McKenzie as series regulars. Kyra Leroux will recur.

Show participants work in the “creator’s studio” and compete in various social media-based challenges. Contestants have access to guidance from a global mix of top influencer guest judges who together have reached hundreds of millions of followers and billions of views – including Kika Kim, Jordyn Jones, and Jojo Sim. At the end of each episode, the contestant with the least number of votes is eliminated. The contestant with the most votes at the end of the competition will be crowned the winner by the judges and receive the $50,000 prize.
