Season two of Shrinking premieres October 16 on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes. The series follows a grieving therapist who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own. The series stars Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, Ted McGinley and Christa Miller. Brett Goldstein will appear as a special guest star in the new season.

Part two of the final season of Power Book II: Ghost premieres September 6 on Starz. Part one uncovered unanswered high-stakes questions. Part two of the final season will showcase the adage “Like father, Like son.” Tariq finds himself in an eerily similar situation, just like his late father, Ghost, stuck between a rock and a hard place, with the choice to leave the game or take over. Entrapped by Detective Carter, the Tejada family realizes their safety is not guaranteed. Monet fiercely fights for her family to become whole again, but is it too late? Noma is working her way to the top of the food chain. Meanwhile, her daughter, Anya, gets too close to the game, forcing Noma to think twice about her actions. 

GG Precinct premieres on Netflix August 22. The series is a spin-off of the 2023 action comedy and box office hit Marry My Dead Body. A series of bizarre murders occur, linked by perplexing riddles. Newbie Captain Lin Tzu-ching teams up with Detective Wu Ming-han in a race against time to catch the killer. 

Season five of 9-1-1: Lone Star premieres September 23 on Fox. Captains Strand and Vega, along with the 126 team, race into action when in a multi-episodic opening storyline, a catastrophic train derailment endangers several lives, including some of their own. With Judd resigning from the 126 to take care of his recently handicapped son Wyatt, Owen must find a new lieutenant to replace Judd and has a difficult decision ahead of him when both Marjan and Paul apply for the promotion. Tommy is ready to take the next step in her relationship, but she finds the road to happiness is filled with obstacles. On his 30th birthday, T.K. gets a surprise visit from someone from his past that could change his and Carlos’ lives forever. Now officially husband and husband, T.K. and Carlos’ marriage is put to the test when Carlos becomes obsessed with solving his father’s murder. 

Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE premieres The series follows 20 contestants from around the world over a year-long journey as they compete to become KATSEYE, a one-of-a-kind global girl group formed using KPOP methodologies. With unprecedented access, unfolding over eight episodes, the result is a compelling portrayal of the road to international stardom, including insight into the unique training and development program developed by HYBE and Geffen Records. KATSEYE will release their EP, SIS (Soft is Strong) on August 16 via HYBE x Geffen. They recently released their second single “Touch”.

Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet have been added as series regulars to the cast of the NBC medical drama Chicago Med as Dr. Caitlin Lenox and Dr. John Frost. The new season begins September 25 with S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Marlyne Barrett, Jessy Schram, Steven Weber, and Luke Mitchell also returning. 

HBO’s House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal announced that the series will wrap after four seasons. The series has been renewed officially for a third season which will begin production in early 2025. 

Season three of The Real Murders of Atlanta premieres August 17 on Oxygen. The docuseries digs deep into the crimes that robbed the vibrant city and surrounding area of some of its most cherished citizens and features those with direct connections to the cases.  Victims’ loved ones, case investigators, witnesses and detectives give firsthand accounts of the lives and movements of the deceased and the intensity of the efforts to bring their killers to justice. Each episode this season explores cases that have shaken the Altana community involving local celebrities, suburban residents, and heartbroken families. 

Crunchyroll announced acquisitions of several highly anticipated animated series from Japan, which will stream around the world soon. Highlights include season two of Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions, TRILLION GAME, Honey Lemon Soda, and The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor. 

IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack premieres August 29 on Netflix. 5 hijackers. 188 lives. 7 days of terror. The limited series is based on true events. 

Max has released a new brand spot featuring footage from highly anticipated HBO and Max Originals coming later this year and in 2025. The spot includes a look at new and returning fan-favorites, such as the third season of HBO’s Industry (August 11), the fourth and final season of My Brilliant Friend, and the sports documentary series Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears. New series including the adult animated Max Original Creature Commandos, the first series out of the new DC Universe under James Gunn and Peter Safran, Dune: Prophecy, a six-episode HBO Original drama series from the expansive universe of Dune, and The Penguin, an eight-episode HBO Original and DC Studios limited series, starring Colin Farrell, are all featured. Even more are featured. 

Docuseries Untold returns with three new stories starting August 20. The series pulls back the curtain on epic tales from the wide (and wild) world of sports. From the shocking murder of a former NFL MVP to college football sign-stealing scandals to a complicated icon of women’s soccer, these new stories go well beyond the headlines and upend what we thought we knew. Premiering weekly, each character-driven story hinges on candid, intimate first-person accounts from those who lived it – to reveal the grit, resilience, heartbreak, and triumph beneath the sweat. 

Season two of preschool series Dora premieres September 13 on Paramount+. In the second season, Dora and her best monkey friend, Boots, encounter new challenges, overcome tricky obstacles, and explore new fantastical territories. Kids will join the iconic Latina heroine on her journey as she meets new friends and helps others, learning inspiring lessons through catchy songs and nonstop laughter.
