Tamara Tunie, Daphnee Duplaix and Karla Mosley are set to star in CBS’s new upcoming daytime drama Beyond The Gates. Production begins later this fall in Atlanta and will premiere on CBS in early 2025.Tamara Tunie stars as Anita Dupree, matriarch of the family. A famous singer back in the day, Anita worked hard for her success, and raised two daughters with her now-retired senator husband. But underneath her glamorous and refined exterior is a fierceness she gained from her humble beginnings in Chicago. Daphnee Duplaix stars as Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson, daughter of Anita, and Dani’s sister, Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson is a high-achieving and competitive philanthropist and psychiatrist, and exudes warmth, empathy and compassion. Nicole’s success in life extends to her marriage to her surgeon husband. She has the perfect life … from the outside. Karla Mosley stars as Dani Dupree, Anita’s other daughter, and a former model turned momager who gave up her career for love. Dani was the Dupree family wild child. Free-spirited, headstrong and uninhibited, she dropped out of school to pursue a high-flying modeling career and she has always marched to the beat of her own drum. The series is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington D.C., and in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States. Here you’ll find a posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions to call home. At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty. But behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered. And those that live outside these gates are watching closely. These are the places where our characters live, love, work and play. Those who have “made it” and those who haven’t are all trying to navigate life … and some with more grace than others. 

Holiday variety music special A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter will premiere on Netflix December 6. It’s a nonsense holiday and we’re so here for it. In this special with musical guests, pop icon Sabrina Carpenter will perform songs from her holiday EP fruitcake and other iconic chart-topping holiday covers. This special will also feature show-stopping music performances, comedic guests, unexpected duets, plus many more surprises and fun cameos. 

HBO has renewed Industry for a fourth season. The series gives an insider’s view of the blackbox of high finance following a group of young bankers as they forge their identities within the pressure cooker environment and sex and drug fueled blitz of international bank Pierpoint & Co’s London office. 

Netflix has announced cast members for the upcoming seventh season of Black Mirror. Awkwafina, Milanka Brooks, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Patsy Ferran, Paul Giamatti, Lewis Gribben, Osy Ikhile, Rashida Jones, Siena Kelly, Billy Magnussen, Rosy McEwen, Cristin Milioti, Chris O’Dowd, Issa Rae, Paul G. Raymond, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jimmi Simpson, and Harriet Walter are all set to appear in the series. Charlie Brooker’s dark, satirical anthology series will return in 2025 with six brand new episodes, including a sequel to the sci-fi adventure USS Callister.

Sweetpea is set to premiere on Starz October 10. The six episode series stars Ella Purnell as Rhiannon Lewis, a quiet wallflower who develops a vengeful and intoxicatingly liberating taste for murder. At its core, the series is about a woman finally finding her voice, told through a uniquely dark and comedic lens. 

Season two of Lioness premieres on Paramount+ October 27. In season two, as the CIA’s fight against terror moves closer to home, Joe, Kaitlyn, and Byron enlist a new Lioness operative to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With pressure mounting from all sides, Joe is forced to confront the profound personal sacrifices she has made as the leader of the Lioness program. 

Season seven of Love Is Blind premieres October 2 on Netflix. The series follows a new set of singles from Washington, D.C. – all ready to cut through the static of modern dating and forge authentic relationships, sight unseen. This season, the singles form deep and immediate connections, setting the stage for an unexpected journey full of twists, turns, and shocking revelations that will test each relationship well after the participants leave the pods for the real world.  

Season eleven of Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr. premieres on PBS January 7. Nineteen celebrity guests will sit down with Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. to dive into their ancestral history and solve mysteries that have plagued their families. In addition to the all-star line-up, Gates will have his own familial mystery solved when the tables are turned and the celebrated host becomes a guest on an eagerly anticipated episode of the new season. Guests include José Andrés, Joy Behar, Kristen Bell, Rubén Blades, Lonnie Bunch, Rita Dove, Laurence Fishburne, Debra Messing, Natalie Morales, Michael Imperioli, Melanie Lynskey, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lea Salonga, Amanda Seyfried, Dax Shepard, Sean Sherman, Sharon Stone, Amy Tan and Chrissy Teigen. 

The Great British Baking Show collection twelve premieres September 27 on Netflix. The series follows a group of amateur bakers as they compete against each other in a series of challenges, attempting to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their baking skills. One contestant is eliminated each week, and the winner is selected from the contestants who reach the finals. 

Orphan Black: Echoes has been canceled after one season on AMC. The Orphan Black followup series starred Krysten Ritter. The series takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. It follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unravelling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is set to host NBC’s upcoming adventure reality competition series Destination X. Based on the award-winning Belgian format, the innovative series will combine spectacular adventure travel and immersive gameplay with the ultimate guessing game. Viewers will follow contestants as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime but have no idea where they are. In order to win, they must figure out their mystery locations. Once they’re on the blacked-out Destination X bus, the journey transforms into a real-life game board, with challenges designed to offer clever clues as to their location, along with a few misdirects to keep them guessing. At the end of each episode, contestants must guess where they are and the furthest from the actual location is sent packing. The first participant to reach Destination X will be crowned the winner. With high stakes and mind-blowing spectacular gameplay, the series will keep viewers engaged and take them along for the ride. 

Bravo has ordered Sold on SLC which will premiere later this year. Set among Salt Lake City’s most jaw-dropping properties, the show follows the layered social dynamics within the brokerage as the agents navigate complicated relationships and personal rivalries. Always on a mission for commission, drama often follows the fierce professional ambitions of the team as they strive to stay on top, and continue to raise the bar, in one of the fastest growing housing markets in the nation. It will feature Presidio Real Estate CEO Jennifer Yeo and her team of best-in-class agents, including Tyna Edwards, Malaysia Fua, Matt Jones, Sarah Martindale, and Kenny Sperry. 

The thrilling Korean Netflix series As You Stood By is officially in production, featuring Jeon So-nee, Lee You-mi, Jang Seung-Jo and Lee Mu-Saeng. The plot unfolds the unexpected events that arise when two women decide the only way to escape their living hell is by killing someone. The series adapts Hideo Okuda’s critically acclaimed novel “Naomi to Kanako,” known for its intense, suspenseful depiction of characters battling violence in the author’s signature tone. 

Kane Brown and Jelly Roll have been announced as the first headliners of New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, performing live from downtown Nashville on CBS. The special is set to feature an all-star lineup of powerful back-to-back performances across multiple time zones, live from Music City. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.

Riot Women is coming soon to BritBox. The series dives headfirst into the world of five women who, along with two riotous backing singers, come together to create a makeshift punk-rock band in order to enter a local talent contest, but in writing their first original song, soon discover that they have a lot to say – and this is their way to say it. As they juggle demanding jobs, grown-up children, complicated parents, husbands who’ve buggered off, and disastrous dates and relationships, the band becomes a catalyst for change in their lives, and it’s going to make them question everything. The six-part series is a testament to the power of friendship, music, and the resilience of women who refuse to be silenced by age or expectation. As the story (set in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire) progresses, it’s more than music that binds them; a deeply potent, long-buried secret begins to surface – one that unexpectedly entangles Kitty and Beth, the two unlikely creative masterminds behind the band, in a complex triangle – and threatens to tear everything apart. It will feature original songs from the band ARXX. 

Unscripted special Tim Dillon: This Is Your Country premieres on Netflix October 1. Tim Dillon chats with everyday Americans about the real – and outrageous – issues they face in this talk show-style special where no topic is off-limits.

Interview series Fat Joe Talks premieres October 4 on Starz. Method Man will serve as the inaugural guest. Additional interviewees will include: Mary J. Blige, Hakeem Jeffries, T.I., Babyface, as well as appearances by Latto, Buju Banton and Remy Ma. Airdates and additional guests are to be announced soon.

The jingle bell juggernaut kicks off its 24/7 programming event on Friday, October 18, and gifts viewers yearning for yuletide tales with 40 new, original movies across Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery. Throwing its own holiday party is Hallmark+, the recently launched, reimagined streaming service and membership rewards program, offering up seven original merry movies and – for the first-time ever – four seasonal series that are sure to make spirits bright.
