Apple TV+ has canceled Time Bandits after one season. The series followed an unpredictable journey through time and space with a ragtag group of thieves and their newest recruit: an 11-year-old history buff named Kevin. Together they set out on a thrilling quest to save the boy’s parents – and the world. As the group is transported through time and space, the gang stumbles upon fascinating worlds of the distant past while seeking out treasure, depending on Kevin to shed light on each situation. Netflix’s Bridgerton is back in production for Season 4. The series’ new cast includes Katie Leung (Lady Araminta Gun), Michelle Mao (Rosamund Li), and Isabella Wei (Posy Li). Emma Naomi (Alice Mondrich) and Hugh Sachs (Brimsley) will be part of the main cast this season. Holiday series Mistletoe Murders premieres on Hallmark+ October 31. Sarah Drew stars in the series based on the Audible series of the same name. It follows Emily Lane, the outwardly friendly, and optimistic shop owner of a charming year-round Christmas-themed store, Under the Mistletoe. However, her inner voice reveals a sardonic sense of humor, cunning intellect, and keen eye for details most people would miss…because Emily has a big secret. Production on Netflix’s Alejandro Sanz’s docuseries has begun. The three episode, untitled series will give fans access to the backstage of the life of Alejandro Sanz, one of the artists with greater recognition around the world and the Spanish who has collected the highest number of Latin GRAMMY awards in history. Viewers will become VIP spectators of Alejandro’s next personal and professional plans after a tough stage, about which he will open up for the first time.
The CW will air a sneak peak of its upcoming series The Wranglers on September 23. The new group of wranglers help a multi-generational group of women reconnect with their past, while a rodeo competition helps narrow down who will be the new Head Wrangler. The series will make its premiere on October 14.
Disney Entertainment Television returns to New York Comic Con with can’t-miss panels, exclusive sneak peeks, and special appearances from fan-favorite series from Oct. 17-20 at the Javits Center. They will include Futurama, Goosebumps, Phineas and Ferb, The Simpsons and What We Do in the Shadows.
Max has announced its 2024 New York Comic Con lineup, featuring panels, never-before-seen footage, and more from the HBO Originals The Penguin, Dune: Prophecy, The Franchise and Max original Creature Commandos. All events will take place October 17 through October 19 at the Javits Center in New York City.
Tokyo Ghoul 10th Anniversary Complete Series Blu-ray™ Box Set releases on December 31, 2024 from Crunchyroll. For the first time ever, this anniversary collection will contain all seasons of the popular Tokyo Ghoul series in one complete box set, including every episode of Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo Ghoul √A, and Tokyo Ghoul:re. The art outside the box is newly commissioned artwork from the animation studio Pierrot that features the main character Kaneki and visual references to the fan-favorite opening song “Unravel” by TK from Ling Toshite Sigure. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End will also be making its way onto Blu-ray from Crunchyroll on December 17. The first season will be released in two separate parts, with the second arriving at a later date. The first part will include multiple art cards of the iconic characters. Attack on Titan Seasons 1–3 being released as separate, complete series SteelBooks from Crunchyroll on December 17. Each Attack on Titan SteelBook will include multiple special features, including episode commentaries, featurettes, galleries, interviews, and more. Barney’s World will begin streaming on Max October 14, followed by a linear premiere on Cartoon Network starting October 18.
