High Potential premieres on ABC September 17. Kaitlin Olson is Morgan – she sees things that the cops don’t. Morgan is a single mom with an exceptional mind whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective.

FX’s Alien: Earth is coming to hulu in 2025. When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat. The series stars Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, and Timothy Olyphant.

Limited series The Perfect Couple premieres on Netflix September 5. Amelia Sacks is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families on Nantucket. Her disapproving future mother-in-law, famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury, has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the season – until a body turns up on the beach. As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer’s novels. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect. The series stars Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson, Dakota Fanning, and Meghann Fahy. 

Matlock premieres September 22 on CBS before making its timeslot premiere October 10 with an encore of the premiere. Episode two will follow on October 17. Madeline (“Matty”) Matlock is not to be underestimated in this reimagining of matlock starring Kathy Bates. The drama is a fresh take on a legal procedural with an overarching mystery. 

Last Days of the Space Age premieres on hulu October 2. It’s the end of an era, and everything is about to change. History is at a turning point, with a global beauty pageant creating a media frenzy. But that’s nothing compared to the drama three seemingly ordinary families are enduring – in a town which will never be the same. 

Netflix’s Geeked Week 2024 will take place September 16-18 online and September 19 in person in Atlanta. The event returns for the geekiest week ever with exclusive reveals, trivia, tattoos & more Geeked goodies. Expect sneak peeks, news and surprises from titles including Squid Game, Arcane, One Piece, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Don’t Move, Wednesday, Cobra Kai, Monument Valley 3, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, Devil May Cry and more. Hosts and talent scheduled to appear at live event to be announced.

The two part The Real Housewives of Dubai reunion premieres September 10 on Bravo. Host Andy Cohen is joined by Chanel Ayan, Caroline Brooks, Sara Al Madani, Taleen Marie, Lesa Milan and Caroline Stanbury to reflect on a fabulous season that saw loyalties shift and friendships tested. 

Dr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Out will premiere on Lifetime in 2025. More details on the series starring beloved dermatologist and skincare expert, Dr. Sandra Lee, will be revealed next year.

The final comedy special from Ellen DeGeneres, Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval, will premiere on Netflix September 24. For the first time in 6 years, Ellen gets personal and reveals what she’s been doing since being “kicked out of show business.” From the mundane world of raising chickens and parallel parking to the harsh reality of becoming a brand name celebrity, she goes deep into her stand-up roots and brings the laughs through life’s most real and absurd realities. 

Eduardo Noriega, Oscar Jaenada and Alexandra Masangkay have been added to the upcoming third season of AMC’s The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon as series regulars. Candela Saitta and Hugo Arbués will recur as well in the season set in Spain. Season three follows Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier as they continue their journey to somehow return home and to the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse. Season two will premiere on AMC September 29, while season three will premiere in 2025. 

Netflix has two new South African series coming soon. Blood Legacy delves into the world of the Spear Industries – a Multimillion-rand corporation as it embarks on the search for a new CEO after the patriarch, Bheki Ndlovu is unexpectedly murdered on the family property. Needless to say, family conflicts ensue as the Siblings, Khanyi Adesina, Mandla Ndlovu, and Siya Ndlovu navigate the murky waters of deadly corruption, family secrets and the mounting pressures of the Spear legacy. Reality series Love Never Lies: South Africa focuses on six couples who must test their trust with an eye-scanning lie detector. In this reality series, deception costs money, and the truth comes with a prize. The truth will be revealed when episodes premiere November 29. 

In honor of Star Trek Day, September 8, the premiere episodes of select Star Trek series and Short Treks will be available to watch for free in a special sampling occurring September 7-13. They will be available on Paramount+ partner platforms (Amazon, Apple, Roku), Paramount+’s Official YouTube page, Pluto TV and on the Paramount+ free content hub (US only). 

Episodes of comedy series Modern Family are set to join Nick at Nite’s programming lineup beginning September. 9. All 11 seasons of Modern Family will debut in Nickelodeon’s nighttime programming block and air daily from 2-4 a.m. (ET/PT). 

End of Summer premieres September 10 on Viaplay. In the Swedish summer of the late 90s, 14-year-old Vera’s refusal to let her little brother Billy accompany her results in his inexplicable disappearance. The entire community engages in the search but to no avail and rumors and suspicions spread fast. A limited investigation follows but is eventually closed down. Grief and uncertainty slowly break down the boy’s family. Twenty years later, Vera is leading a group grief therapy session in Stockholm. They are joined by a hauntingly familiar young man who tells the group about his fractured childhood memories. Vera is shaken by his eerily familiar story. Reluctantly she is forced to jeopardize the frail existence she has built and go back to her shattered family to uncover the truth about Billy’s fate. She begins asking questions about the past that no one wants her to ask: Is this young man really her long lost brother? What happened during that summer that never ended? The truth might destroy her world all over again.

Unscripted series Culinary Class Wars premieres September 17 on Netflix. A culinary class war among 100 cooks, in which the hidden masters (black spoon) challenge the star chefs (white spoon), fiercely competing to become the best in Korea.

Docuseries Evolution of the Black Quarterback premieres September 24 on Prime Video. The series follows retired NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick as he travels across America to explore the history and impact of Black quarterbacks on and off the field. The series pays homage to the rich history, celebrates the progress, and sets its sights on the future of the QB position. The highlights are incredible and the story of the players who fought for their right to be on the field are inspiring, featuring interviews with some of the most influential Black QBs – past, present, and future – to ever play the game, including Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Cam Newton, Dak Prescott, Russell Wilson, Donovan McNabb, James “Shack” Harris, Warren Moon, and Doug Williams, plus commentary from celebrities and other football stars including Common, Deion Sanders, Larry Wilmore, Steve Young, Josh Allen and Jamie Foxx.

Season two of Midnight at the Pera Palace premieres September 12 on Netflix. Esra is drawn back to the perilous events of the past… only this time, she lands in the 40s and starts a desperate search for her birth mother.

The Queen of Villains premieres September 19 on Netflix. A girl named Kaoru Matsumoto works tirelessly to realize her dream of becoming a professional wrestler. However, she is oppressed by both her employers and her father, and starts to lose her sense of belonging. In time, she channels her sorrow and rage toward all of Japan, transforming into a villainous heel dreaded by everyone. This set the stage for the Hair vs. Hair Death Match between the nation’s darling Chigusa Nagayo and enemy of the people Dump Matsumoto – a legendary women’s pro wrestling match that is still talked about to this day. Follow the lives of girls who were once nobodies, witness the sheer excitement they sparked, and discover what these wrestlers, who fought with all their might through a bygone era, are asking us in the present day.
