My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will return for a second season on Crunchyroll in 2026. Koichi Haimawari is a dull college student who aspires to be a hero but has given up on his dream. Although 80% of the world’s population has superhuman powers called Quirks, few are chosen to become heroes and protect people. Everything changes for Koichi when he and Pop☆Step are saved by the vigilante Knuckleduster and get recruited to become vigilantes themselves! The series is a prequel to the beloved anime series My Hero Academia, based on the original manga created by Kohei Horikoshi. 

NASA and Netflix are teaming up to bring space a little closer to home. Starting this summer, NASA+ live programming will be available on Netflix. Audiences now will have another option to stream rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, mission coverage, and breathtaking, live views of Earth from the International Space Station. NASA+ remains available for free, with no ads, through the NASA app and on the agency’s website. Additional programming details and schedules will be announced ahead of the summer launch. 

HIDIVE has announced more English dubs for the upcoming Summer 2025 season. The English dub of Flower and Asura will premiere July 16. Season two of Call of the Night will premiere in August. Rock is a Lady’s Modesty will premiere in August. Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho Cour 2 will premiere in September. They join current ongoing English dub premieres of 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, I’m Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!?, and Sword of the Demon Hunter:  Kijin Gentosho Cour 1. 

ABC has renewed The Bachelor for a 30th season. When the series returns, it will have a new showrunner. Scott Teti, currently the showrunner for Bachelor in Paradise, will take the reins. 

The English dub of Clevatess will premiere July 2 on Crunchyroll. The series will stream simultaneously with the Japanese version. One of the Lords of Dark Beasts, Clevatess’s reign shatters when he revives a hero he personally slayed and adopts an orphaned humanoid baby—the last hope to save a dying world. Now bound together, what fate awaits this unlikely trio?

Miley Cyrus: Something Beautiful premieres July 16 on Disney+ and hulu. The special is a one-of-a-kind pop opera fueled by fantasy, featuring thirteen original new songs from the visual album “Something Beautiful.” 

Resident Alien will move to its new 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot starting Friday, July 4. The show will be simulcast on USA Network and SYFY. Based on the Dark Horse comics, the series follows a crash-landed alien named Harry and his life on planet Earth. The fourth season starts with Harry and his baby Bridget stuck in prison on the Grey Moonbase while a shape-shifting alien called a Mantid has taken over his body on Earth passing himself off as the real Harry Vanderspeigle. Harry manages to escape the Greys and arrives back on Earth for a showdown with the Mantid Alien, but soon finds he may not have what he needs to finish the job. Asta and D’arcy struggle to keep a secret from Ben and Kate, who are both desperate to find answers to what has been happening to them. Sheriff Mike and Deputy Liv attempt to solve some mysterious deaths in Patience that Sheriff Mike is beginning to think aren’t caused by anything human.  

Verstappen – Lion Unleashed 4 premieres July 3 on Viaplay. World Champion Max Verstappen, his father Jos Verstappen, manager Raymond Vermeulen and racing legend David Coulthard speak exclusively to Viaplay about the road to Max’s incredible fourth championship win in 2024, briefly going through key races.

Survival Mode premieres on NBC July 7. Across nine episodes, the series chronicles some of the most recent devastating disasters – including the Maui wildfires, the Amtrak 501 derailment, Superstorm Sandy, and the sinking of the Costa Concordia – through firsthand accounts from survivors and rare archival footage. Each episode offers an in-depth look at how ordinary people, alongside first responders and loved ones, faced extraordinary circumstances. 

During The 2025 ESPYS, hosted by Shane Gillis, ESPN will honor athletes and sports leaders for their courage, perseverance and service with three special accolades. Oscar Robertson will receive the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage, Katie Schumacher-Cawley will receive the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance, and David Walters and Erin Regan will receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service. The ESPYS will air live from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and will stream live on ESPN+. The ESPYS will also be available to stream on-demand the next day on Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. 

All five episodes of Esports World Cup: Level Up are streaming now on Prime Video. The docuseries goes behind the scenes of the inaugural Esports World Cup (EWC) held in 2024 in Riyadh. The event was a defining moment in global esports, with more than $60 million in prize money igniting a high-stakes, multinational battle to crown the world’s top esports Club.

Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest will air July 4 on ESPN Networks. The contest will feature the return of the most dominant eater the event has ever had. Returning to the iconic corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues on Coney Island is 16-time Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest champion, Joey Chestnut. Hosting the event will be the duo of E60 and The Sports Reporters Host Jeremy Schaap and Major League Eating President Rich Shea. On-site reporting will be by College Sports Play-by-Play Commentator Tiffany Greene.

Anime series TOUGEN ANKI will stream on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Prime Video. The series will air in both Japanese with English subtitles, and an English dub. The bloodlines of “Oni” and “Momotaro” have been passed down among certain humans for generations. Long ago, the Oni, aware of their own ferocity, lived in seclusion. However, their peace was shattered by an invasion led by Momotaro. Over thousands of years, these two factions formed the “Momotaro Agency” and the “Oni Agency,” respectively, and have been locked in conflict ever since. The protagonist, Shiki Ichinose, suddenly learns of his Oni lineage following an unexpected attack by Momotaro. This revelation sets Shiki on a path to discover the destiny that lies within his blood, a meeting with the Oni dwelling within him. A new generation of dark heroics begins here in this tale of demons!

Two series are set to premiere this July on Viaplay. Johanna Möller – Sweden’s Most Hated Woman premieres July 10. The surprising true crime docuseries provides the truth behind one of Sweden’s most notorious murder cases, as Johanna’s conviction involved no forensic evidence and is based on the statement of the murderer, who changed his story a shocking twelve times. The Congregation, Season 2: Bride of Christ premieres July 24. Based on the true events that inspired HBO’s acclaimed docuseries Pray, Obey, Kill, this acclaimed, gripping and award-winning Swedish psychological drama series returns to unravel the dark world of the infamous Knutby cult – marked by abuse, infidelity, threats, and feverish prophecies. 

America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys premieres August 19 on Netflix. A man who bet it all. A series of calculated risks. A team meticulously designed for greatness. The series is the definitive story of The Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones’ impact on NFL history. Going, Going, Gone: The Magic of the Home Run premieres July 6 on The Roku Channel. Comedian and baseball fan Roy Wood Jr. embarks on a cross-country journey to trace the evolution of the Home Run Derby. Along the way, Roy revisits some of the most memorable home runs in baseball history with the game’s biggest stars. Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Bob Costas, Chris Berman, and more legendary all-stars talk about their favorite Home Run Derby moments and share what makes the home run one of the most thrilling feats in sports. 

Max has announced that Warner Bros. Pictures’ Sinners will stream in Black American Sign Language (BASL) alongside the original version of the film in the U.S. on July 4. This groundbreaking release marks the first time a streaming platform will exclusively debut a film interpreted in BASL. The release of Sinners with BASL is a major step forward in accessibility, representation, and visibility in streaming. BASL is a distinct dialect of American Sign Language (ASL) with its own dynamic history and unique grammar, signing space, rhythm, facial expressions, and cultural nuances. For the first time, the Black Deaf community will have streaming access to a more immersive experience in their language. Max subscribers, who sign in ASL but are unfamiliar with this dialect, will also be able to follow along with this interpretation. Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
