The third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty premieres July 16 on Prime Video. It’s the end of her junior year of college, and Belly’s looking forward to another summer in Cousins with her soulmate, Jeremiah. Her future seems set, until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life. Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart. Summer will never be the same.  A heartfelt multigenerational drama, the series explores a poignant love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the complexities of family, and the strength of female friendships. At its core, it’s a coming-of-age story about first love, heartbreak, and the unforgettable magic of a perfect summer. 

Building the Band premieres July 9 on Netflix. In this brand new music competition series today’s most talented singers will audition for each other and choose their own bandmates before ever seeing them. It brings together talented singers for a truly unique competition show where building the perfect band is all about chemistry. The singers are in complete control as they seek to form their very own bands from individual sound booths where they can’t see the other artists. All they have to go on is musical compatibility, connection, chemistry and raw talent. What will happen when the bands finally meet and looks, choreography, work ethic and style come into play? With incredible performances, compelling drama, and one big goal – to find the next great music band – the stage is set for an unforgettable experience. The series is hosted by AJ McLean (Backstreet Boys) with renowned artist Nicole Scherzinger (The Pussycat Dolls) serving as mentor and judge and music experts and guest judges Kelly Rowland (Destiny’s Child) and the late Liam Payne (One Direction), who bring their unparalleled expertise and personal band experience to the competition. New episodes will roll out July 16 and July 23. 

Foundation premieres July 11 on Apple TV+. Set 152 years after the events of season two, The Foundation has become increasingly established far beyond its humble beginnings while the Cleonic Dynasty’s Empire has dwindled. As both of these galactic powers forge an uneasy alliance, a threat to the entire galaxy appears in the fearsome form of a warlord known as “The Mule,” whose sights are set on ruling the universe by use of physical and military force as well as mind control. It’s anyone’s guess who will win, who will lose, who will live and who will die as Hari Seldon, Gaal Dornick, the Cleons and Demerzel play a potentially deadly game of intergalactic chess. 

My Melody & Kuromi premieres July 24 on Netflix. The stop-motion animation series features popular Sanrio characters. My Melody is a straightforward and cheerful girl who does things her own way; while Kuromi, her self-proclaimed rival, may seem like a troublemaker, but actually has a girly side. In this original tale, these two polar opposites face a major incident that threatens the fate of Mariland, their home. The series will unfold over twelve 13-minute episodes, capturing the adventures and growth of these two adorable characters. 

Paramount+ has renewed SkyMed for a fourth season. The medical drama follows the triumphs and tribulations of young medics and pilots who fly air ambulances across the remote skies of Northern Canada, weaving together intense journeys with jaw-dropping medical rescues 20,000 feet in the air in the most remote conditions.

Animated series announcements were made at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Cartoon Network Studios is currently developing Steven Universe: Lars of the Stars, a follow-up to Steven Universe, for Prime Video. From executive producers Rebecca Sugar and Ian Jones-Quartey, Steven Universe: Lars of the Stars explores the past, present and future of the Steven Universe universe. The sequel series follows Lars Barriga, eternal teenager and space outlaw, as he and his pirate crew smuggle contraband, evade the authorities, and uncover the darkest secrets of the fallen Gem Empire. Teen Titans Go!, the longest running animated series in DC history, has been renewed for a tenth season on Cartoon Network. Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Raven continue the fun with all-new comedic adventures, giving viewers a look at what life is really like as a teen super hero… once the cape comes off. Inspired by and featuring the principal voice cast of the original Teen Titans series, this character-driven comedy – based upon DC characters – focuses on the funny that happens in between saving the world and living together as teenagers without adult supervision. 

Adult Swim has renewed Smiling Friends for two additional seasons. The two season renewal comes ahead of its upcoming third season, set to premiere this fall. 

D’Arcy Carden has joined the cast of The Five-Star Weekend. Carden joins Jennifer Garner, Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, and Gemma Chan as a series regular in the upcoming Peacock series. 

Marcus Scribner has joined the cast of Boston Blue. Scribner joins Donnie Wahlberg, Sonequa Martin-Green, Ernie Hudson, Maggie Lawson and Gloria Reuben as a series regular on the CBS Blue Bloods spinoff series. 

Season two of Karen Pirie premieres on BritBox this October. Lauren Lyle reprises her role as audience-favourite Detective Inspector Karen Pirie, with a riveting new case to solve. After her bittersweet success in series one, Karen has been promoted to Detective Inspector and seemingly given the authority she has long been fighting for. Just as she’s getting into the swing of her powerful new role, she is assigned an infamous unsolved case that will put her under intense scrutiny; from her boss, from the media, and ultimately, from sinister forces that would rather the past stayed in the past. 

Jack Black will receive the iconic King of Comedy Award during the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025, live from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., on Saturday, June 21, at 8 p.m. (ET /PT). Recognized for his illustrious career across film, television, music and more, Black will accept his Silver Blimp from the KCA stage, before getting decimated in Nickelodeon’s iconic Slime. Additionally, Alex Warren, Auliʻi Cravalho, Benny Blanco, Ice Spice, Jack Griffo, Jacob Rodriguez, Katelyn West, Kel Mitchell, Kira Kosarin, Maia Kealoha, Renee Montgomery, SeanDoesMagic, Samantha Lorraine, Tony Hawk and Victoria Monét have joined the growing list of star-studded talent scheduled to appear on Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025. Previously announced show participants include: KATSEYE, who will perform their hit single, “Gnarly.” Hosted by Tyla, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025 will continue to put kids and families in control at the biggest party of the summer with exciting star-studded collaborations, legendary skateboarding stunts, the latest in music with high-energy dancing, and Nickelodeon’s signature orange blimp trophy and epic slimings. The show will simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, MTV2 and CMT, and also air on Nickelodeon channels around the world. 

Business reality series The Fixer premieres July 18 on Fox. Successful business investor and entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis puts his money to work and uses his signature 3 P’s philosophy – People, Process, and Product – to empower businesses to thrive. In each episode, Lemonis meets with business owners from across the country whose companies are at a crossroad and need to make impactful changes. MASTERPIECE on PBS will see new mysteries and new drama and returning favorites this summer and fall. Season ten of Grantchester premieres June 15. Season two of The Marlow Murder Club premieres August 24. Season six of Unforgotten premieres August 24. The Gold premieres October 5. Maigret premieres this fall. The Great Escaper premieres this fall.

Born to Be Viral: The Real Lives of Kidfluencers premieres June 23 on Freeform. Episodes will stream July 8 on hulu. The series follows the first generation of kids raised in the social media spotlight – their entire lives broadcast to millions, with the lucky few earning millions of dollars. Shot over five years, with exclusive access to top creators, this series pulls back the curtain on the real lives of kid influencers and their families. Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 will air live on Netflix on Friday, July 11 at 8 pm ET | 5 pm PT. Ireland’s undisputed champion Katie Taylor will face Puerto Rico’s seven-division champion Amanda Serrano for the third time at Madison Square Garden in New York City. 

Season two of The Beginning After the End will premiere on Crunchyroll in 2026. After a mysterious death, King Grey is reborn as Arthur Leywin on the magical continent of Dicathen. Although he enters his second life as a baby, his previous wisdom remains. He begins to master magic and forge his own path as the years go by, seeking to correct the mistakes of his past life.
