Chad Powers, starring Glen Powell, will premiere September 30 on hulu with two episodes. New episodes stream weekly on Tuesdays. Eight years after an unforgivable mistake nukes his promising college football career, hotshot quarterback Russ Holliday tries to resurrect his dreams by disguising himself as Chad Powers – a talented oddball who walks on to the struggling South Georgia Catfish. 

Saturday Night Live has added five featured players to the cast for the upcoming 51st season: Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson and Veronika Slowikowska. Marshall previously appeared on-camera as part of the comedy trio “Please Don’t Destroy.” The new season premieres October 4 on NBC. 

Original Scrubs star Judy Reyes will appear in the upcoming ABC revival series as a recurring guest star. She will reprise her role as Carla Espinosa. Reyes is currency a series regular on ABC’s High Potential. 

House of Guinness premieres September 25 on Netflix. The series explores an epic story inspired by one of Europe’s most famous and enduring dynasties – the Guinness Family. Set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, the story begins immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben, as well as on a group of Dublin characters who work and interact with the phenomenon that is Guinness. 

Marvel Zombies will premiere on Disney+ September 24. Who will save us from our heroes? 

Next Gen Chef premieres September 17 on Netflix. Inside the world’s most prestigious culinary school, 21 of America’s hottest young chefs, under the age of 30, compete in a one-of-a-kind competition. The Culinary Institute of America has set a rigorous gauntlet of tests to find who is worthy of being crowned the leading chef of the next generation. 

Japanese anthology anime series Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 premieres November 7 on Prime Video. The anthology features eight distinctive stories from the creator of Fire Punch, Chainsaw Man, and Look Back. A Couple Clucking Chickens Were Still Kickin’ in the Schoolyard tells the tale of two survivors’ bond in a post-apocalyptic world, while Sasaki Stopped a Bullet explores the intense emotions of adolescence. Love is Blind presents a sci-fi romantic comedy about love on a cosmic scale, and Shikaku follows an unhinged assassin girl’s twisted love story. Mermaid Rhapsody weaves a touching romance between a boy and a mermaid centered around an underwater piano, whereas Woke-Up-as-a-Girl Syndrome delves into finding one’s true self beyond gender norms. Nayuta of the Prophecy chronicles the journey of siblings bound by a harsh destiny, and Sisters depicts rivalry, conflict, and growth between artistically inclined sisters. 

Season three of Tulsa King premieres September 21 on Paramount+. In season three, as Dwight’s empire expands, so do his enemies and the risks to his crew. Now, he faces his most dangerous adversaries in Tulsa yet: the Dunmires, a powerful old-money family that doesn’t play by old-world rules, forcing Dwight to fight for everything he’s built and protect his family. Samuel L. Jackson will appear in season three as Russell Lee Washington Jr. before moving from Tulsa to New Orleans as the lead in the recently greenlit Tulsa King spinoff, Nola King

Netflix has announced the cast of the new limited series adaptation of Edith Wharton’s The Age of Innocence. Camila Morrone will star as Ellen Olenskal, Kristine Froseth as May Welland, Ben Radcliffe as Newland Archer and Margo Martindale as Mrs. Manson-Mingott.

Warwick Davis will reprise his role as Professor Filius Flitwick in the upcoming HBO series Harry Potter. He will mark his homecoming to the wizarding world in a role he originated for the film series. The series has also cast Hogwarts students – Elijah Oshin as Dean Thomas, Finn Stephens as Vincent Crabbe, and William Nash as Gregory Goyle, Hogwarts staff – Sirine Saba as Professor Pomona Sprout, Richard Durden as Professor Cuthbert Binns, and Bríd Brennan as Madam Poppy Pomfrey, and Leigh Gill as Griphook. The series will premiere in 2027. 

Korean series Confidence Queen premieres September 6 on Prime Video. The series tells the story of Yi-rang, a brilliant woman who becomes the ultimate con artist. She teams up with James and Gu-ho, working as a trio of swindlers, to expose villains and take their ill-gotten gains.

Prime Video has ordered the animated adventure comedy series, The Chosen Adventures, to series. The series consists of 14 11-minute episodes. It follows nine-year-old Abby and her best friend Joshua as they navigate life in the ancient city of Capernaum. When the children encounter a wise craftsman and teacher, Jesus of Nazareth, he helps them change the way they see the world, and they help spread his influence far and wide (among the 7 to 12-year-old set). And did we mention that she has a talking sheep?

Amsterdam Empire premieres October 30 on Netflix. Jack van Doorn, the rich and notorious founder of the coffee shop empire Jackal, has had to fight his entire career against criminals, competitors, and absurd Dutch laws to become the biggest of them all. When his affair with a well-known journalist comes to light, it turns out that his most dangerous enemy has been living under his roof all this time: his betrayed wife, Betty (Famke Janssen), an ex-pop diva who knows all his weak spots and secrets and will not rest until she has taken everything from him. 

Platonic: Blue Moon Hotel premieres September 18 on Netflix. When a suave stranger with a hidden agenda checks into the Blue Moon Hotel, chaos and raunchy romance ensnare the two unhinged sisters who work there.

Nordic crime drama series To Cook a Bear premieres October 15 on hulu. Northern Sweden, 1852. A new pastor and his family arrive in the isolated village of Kengis. With a strong belief in justice and change, he challenges the local elite but faces resistance as his fiery sermons ignite hope for a better life among the poor farmers. At the same time, the village is shaken by disappearances and frightening rumours of bear attacks. When the pastor and his Sámi foster son, Jussi, lead the search, they make a horrific discovery that creates deep rifts in the village’s fragile community. Billionaires’ Bunker premieres September 19 on Netflix. The Resurrected premieres October 9 on Netflix.
