Hulu has renewed Only Murders in the Building for a sixth season. The series will film overseas for the first time, with the beloved crime-solving trio leaving New York City to investigate London’s newest mystery .Season five features a star-studded cast, including the return of Meryl Streep and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest, and Jermaine Fowler. They joined stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez and Michael Cyril Creighton. 

The BBC announced that Doctor Who will be back on our screens at Christmas 2026 with a special episode written by Russell T Davies. With Disney+ confirming they will not be partnering on the next season of the sci-fi show, the BBC remain fully committed to the show and will announce plans for the next series in due course to ensure the Doctor’s adventures continue. Before next year’s special, fans of the beloved series still have spinoff The War Between the Land and the Sea set to air on Disney+. An animated children’s series is also in development. 

Season two of One Piece will premiere on Netflix March 10. Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line – a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies. 

Mark Harmon will make a special guest appearance as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, the iconic TV character he played for 18 seasons on NCIS, on prequel series NCIS: Origins during the first crossover event between the two hit dramas November 11 on CBS. In the crossover event airing on Veterans Day, younger Gibbs (Austin Stowell) and team investigate the small-town death of a naval officer in the ’90s on NCIS: Origins – a case that’s unexpectedly re-opened in the present day on NCIS. The decades-spanning mystery finds the air order for the series switching for one night only, with NCIS: Origins airing first at 8:00 PM, ET/PT, followed by NCIS at 9:00 PM, ET/PT. Harmon, an executive producer of both series, narrates each episode of Origins but has not appeared onscreen as Gibbs since a brief appearance in the series’ 2024 pilot. 

Anime series Dark Gathering will return for a second season. The first season streamed on HIDIVE. In the series, Yayoi drags Keitaro into a terrifying, grotesque supernatural world to find the malevolent spirit behind her mother’s vanishing.

The special will air on the Backyard Sports YouTube channel as well as in store at Dave & Buster’s.

Michelle Obama: The Style, the Power, the Look – a Conversation with Robin Roberts – Special Edition of 20/20 airs November 2 on ABC. The Good Morning America co-anchor joins Obama at Marymount University in Virginia in advance of her upcoming book, “The Look” – a celebration of style from the moment she entered the public eye – to discuss the lessons she’s sharing about her newfound confidence and empowerment. Obama shares the important role and at times complex role fashion has played in her life, from designing her own prom dress at a young age to navigating living in the spotlight as the first Black first lady of the United States and helping define who she is today. A passionate supporter of future generations and education, Obama surprises past and present students who are working to make their own marks on fashion. The special also features interviews with Obama’s longtime stylist Meredith Koop, her makeup artist Carl Ray, and hairstylists Yene Damtew and Njeri Radway, along with top designers Diane von Furstenberg, Jason Wu, Tracy Reese and Narciso Rodriquez and fashion commentators. 

Dystopian limited series The Future Is Ours is coming soon to Netflix. The series is based on the novel The World Jones Made, by the renowned American writer Philip K. Dick. Year 2047. Ecological collapse has led to the creation of FedSur, a coalition of South American countries that applies extreme measures to protect nature and counteract the prevailing hunger and violence. A new and captivating voice then emerges on the internet, a voice much more powerful than any other because it is capable of predicting the future. Police officer Hugo Crussí discovers that behind the voice is a young preacher named Jonás Flores, but his arrest causes him to become the spiritual leader of the continent overnight. Forecasting the fall of FedSur and victory over climate change, Jonás will make the Latin American people dream and will get many to join his reactionary revolution. Meanwhile, Crussí, pursued as a member of the resistance, will embark on a suicidal mission to end the tyrant, who will have foreseen the assassination and will be waiting for him. 

ESPN, Disney, Pixar and the National Football League will present Monsters Funday Football on Monday, Dec. 8, a real-time, animated Monday Night Football game, featuring the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles at the Los Angeles Chargers, inside the iconic Monsters, Inc. building. Powered by the NFL’s Next Gen Stats and Sony’s Beyond Sports visualization technology and Sony’s Hawk-Eye Innovations, this season’s immersive Funday Football experience will transport fans to Monstropolis for ESPN’s Week 14 MNF matchup. Monsters Funday Football marks the third consecutive season ESPN, Disney+ and the NFL have presented a Funday Football telecast with the alternate presentation, for the first time, available on ESPN2, Disney Channel, and Disney XD, and the new ESPN App (via ESPN DTC or pay TV authentication), while continuing to stream on Disney+ and, on mobile, NFL+. Video on Demand will be available on Disney+ shortly after the live broadcast. The traditional Monday Night Football telecast, with Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge will be available on ESPN, ABC, ESPN Deportes and streaming live on the ESPN App. Both presentations begin at 8 p.m. ET. 

Natural history series Kingdom premieres January 24 on BBC America and AMC+. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough, the major new six-part natural history series chronicles the dramatic real-life sagas of four African animal families. Filmed across five years in a single spectacular location, the lives and fates of our four families – leopards, hyenas, wild dogs, and lions – are inextricably linked as they strive for a foothold in a remote and fertile river valley in Zambia. As well as the intense power struggles between these top predators, the series shows how a colorful supporting cast, from powerful elephant herds to flocks of hamerkops to troops of marauding baboons, impact our central characters in surprising ways.

Season five of Peyton’s Places premieres November 2 on ESPN+. The 10-episode series follows Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning as he returns to the road to revisit some of the most seminal moments in NFL history through re-creations with legendary players and coaches. Throughout the season, Peyton attempts to lift the Buffalo curse alongside Bills Mafia and quarterback Josh Allen, dives into the history of the quarterback sneak with former Eagles center Jason Kelce, and heads to Malibu for a wild ride with Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh inspired by The Rockford Files. Along the way, he tackles the QB passer rating with Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins, recreates a replacement Lombardi Trophy with Patriots legends Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, and explores quarterback playcalling with Joe Burrow and Boomer Esiason. Peyton also goes sky-high to learn about tall receivers with Cris Collinsworth in Cincinnati and commandeers a Goodyear Blimp with Chad Johnson to re-enact the 1970s disaster film Black Sunday, blending history, humor, and unforgettable moments across the NFL.
