God Of War is set to recast Kratos following an on set injury. Original lead Ryan Hurst needs additional time to recover, so the Prime Video series will move forward, refilming the four episodes already filmed with a new lead. 

Docuseries The Dynasty: UConn Huskies will premiere August 21 on Apple TV. The three part docuseries chronicles the rise of the most dominant program in college basketball history. Featuring exclusive interviews with the 2025 National Championship team and legendary voices spanning generations of UConn basketball, the series explores the pursuit of excellence, the expectations that accompany sustained success, and the people who upheld that standard across generations. Through never-before-seen archival footage and intimate access, the series digs into the obsession, pressure, sacrifices and ruthless culture that transformed a basketball program into an unrivaled phenomenon. The series reflects on the legacy that built the program and offers a rare, inside look at the players carrying it forward through in-depth conversations with coaches, athletes, alumni, rivals and journalists across generations of UConn basketball, including KK Arnold, Auriemma, Sue Bird, Paige Bueckers, Jim Calhoun, Swin Cash, Chris Dailey, Mickie DeMoss, Jana El Alfy, Jamelle Elliott, Azzi Fudd, Jeff Goldberg, Sally Jenkins, Steve Kerr, Rebecca Lobo, Jackie MacMullan, Maya Moore, Alexa Philippou, Shea Ralph, Semeka Randall, Jennifer Rizzotti, Breanna Stewart, Sarah Strong, Diana Taurasi and Tamika Williams-Jeter. 

The English dub of Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia will premiere July 18 with the first two episodes. After losing her mother and being torn far from her homeland, a young girl named Sitara is taken in by Fatima, a kind-hearted lady from a family of scholars. “If you study and become wise, no matter what trouble befalls you, you’ll know the best way forward.” Deeply moved by the words of Fatima’s son, Muhammad, Sitara comes to understand the possibilities and importance of knowledge and begins to deepen her education. She dreams that one day, she might catch up with Muhammad, who has set off on a journey in pursuit of wisdom. 

The English dub of Mushoku Tensei: Jobeless Reincarnation season three premieres July 18 on Crunchyroll. When a 34-year-old underachiever gets run over by a truck, his story doesn’t end there. Reincarnated in a new world as an infant, Rudy will seize every opportunity to live the life he’s always wanted. Armed with new friends, some freshly acquired magical abilities, and the courage to do the things he’s always dreamed of, he’s embarking on an epic adventure—with all of his past experience intact!

Francesca Reale and Roby Attal have joined the cast of Netflix’s Canadian series This Summer Will Be Different. They join Sophie Nélisse. The series, based on the beloved novel by Carley Fortune, is a simmering, sun-soaked romance set across multiple summers on Prince Edward Island about Lucy, a young woman navigating her 20s and her first real love with her best friend’s brother, the one person she was never supposed to fall for. 

More cast have been added to Prime Video’s Boys of Tommen. Joining the series are Eoin Macken as Teddy Lynch, Róisín Gallagher as Marie Lynch, Amy Huberman as Edel Kavanagh, Jamie Schneider as Patrick Feely, and James Craven as Pierce O’Neill. The romantic drama series is based on the book series. 

FLCL: Alternative will rejoin the Toonami lineup starting August 1 with two episodes back to back from 12:30-1:30 AM. Original episodes of My Adventures with Superman will continue to kick off the night at midnight. New episodes of One Piece will follow at 1:30. Encore episodes of IGPX will air at 2:00. Two episodes of Blue Exorcist will air from 2:30-3:30. A repeat of My Adventure with Superman will cap off the action block at 3:30. 

Following the change of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 English dub studios, a new director has been named. Manny Aragon will direct the series at Crunchyroll. It was also announced Charys (Ifrit) will be voiced by Madeleine Norton. 

The Stuart Fails to Save the Universe podcast will premiere following each episode of the HBO Max series. Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton will break down the biggest moments, comic book references, multiverse theories, and behind-the-scenes stories from Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. It promises creator interviews, cast conversations, Easter eggs, and deep dives into the action adventure science fiction comedy starring Kevin Sussman. Featuring Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady, Zak Penn, Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn, John Ross Bowie, Jonathan Frakes, Josh Brener, and more, every episode celebrates the comic book heart of the series while embracing its multiverse sized chaos. 

One Hundred Years of Solitude Part 2 premieres August 5 on Netflix. The finale will air August 26. Following the signing of the armistice, peace still does not reach Macondo. Fearful of Colonel Aureliano Buendía’s threats, the Conservatives plot an assassination attempt that – by a twist of fate – brings Fernanda del Carpio from Bogotá to the town. When she marries Aureliano Segundo, one of the bastard Arcadio’s twin sons, she gives Úrsula Iguarán her first legitimate heirs. Meanwhile, José Arcadio Segundo, the other twin, will accomplish the patriarch’s wild dreams of connecting Macondo with the world. The railroad’s arrival opens the doors to the banana company, which unleashes the town’s downfall and ultimately fulfills Úrsula Iguarán’s curse: for the lineage condemned to one hundred years of solitude were not granted a second opportunity on earth.
