Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi premieres August 5 on Disney+ with all episodes. Part of an all-new Star Wars: Visions Presents banner, which will be used to tell longer-form Star Wars: Visions stories, the limited series picks up not long after the events of the Visions shorts: “The Ninth Jedi” and “The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope.” In the new series, Lah Kara continues to train in the ways of the Jedi under Margrave Juro. Kara goes on an epic journey of self-discovery as she and Juro’s small fellowship of Jedis-in-training embark on a quest to save her father and stop a mysterious Sith leader from unleashing darkness upon the galaxy.

Prime Video has ordered DINKS (Dual Income No Kids), a first-of-its kind improvised multi-camera sitcom. Real-life married couple June Diane Raphael and Paul Scheer star in and executive produce the series, with Jon Gabrus set as a series regular. The comedy is about Josh (Scheer) and Charlie (Raphael), a couple who, in the absence of a marriage or kids, decide to literally build a life together by renovating their nightmare of a dream house.
The CW has renewed Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, and Police 24/7 for new seasons. Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit received third season orders while Police 24/7 received an order for a fourth season. Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit will return October 1 to continue their second seasons. This fall, all three series will expand their reach even further, having already secured syndication clearances in more than 85% of U.S. television markets.
The Creep Tapes returns with a two episode premiere September 15 on Shudder with two episodes weekly. The six-episode third season of the cult-favorite CREEP franchise features guest stars including Kate Siegel, Nic Hamilton, Elliott Fulham and star Mark Duplass’ daughter, Ora Duplass, who will star in a throwback episode. Season three continues to expose a collection of video tapes from the secret vault of the world’s deadliest and most socially uncomfortable serial killer (Duplass). Unfortunately, as the tape rolls, the killer’s questionable intentions surface with his increasingly odd behavior and the victims will learn they may have made a deadly mistake.
Romance series A Love Other Than Yours premieres September 12 on Prime Video. The series follows Namgung Ho and Lee Mi-do, a couple in a 10-year relationship whose once-burning passion has matured into a quiet trust. Ho is a sociable man who wins people over within minutes and believes marriage is the natural next step in their relationship. Mi-do, a film director devoted to her work, finds her heart swayed by another man during a difficult period in her career. As their relationship begins to falter, they are forced to confront a difficult question: should they move forward with marriage or finally choose a love other than each other’s?

Outer Banks: The Official Podcast, a new six-episode companion podcast celebrating the fifth and final season of Outer Banks, will premiere August 20, alongside the final season. Hosted by Ria Ciuffo, the series dives into the cast, characters, and the cultural phenomenon that has captivated audiences for years. The first five episodes are one-on-one interviews with each core “Pogue” cast member – Chase Stokes (John B), Madelyn Cline (Sarah Cameron), Madison Bailey (Kiara Carrera), Jonathan Daviss (Pope Heyward) and Carlacia Grant (Cleo Anderson) – revisiting their characters’ journeys, key storylines and their experiences on the show. The NFL is back on Netflix in 2026 with the first-ever regular season NFL game in Australia, and we’re rolling out a stacked on-air team to call it. Live from the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sept. 10 at 8:35 PM ET (Sept. 11 at 10:35 AM AEST), Netflix will broadcast the Week 1 matchup, featuring the San Francisco 49ers vs. the Los Angeles Rams. Studio coverage includes Elle Duncan, Desk Host; Michael Irvin, Desk Analyst; Nick Foles, Desk Analyst; and Clay Matthews III, Desk Analyst. The season continues with the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game on Nov. 25 at 8:00 PM ET (Green Bay Packers vs. Los Angeles Rams); a doubleheader NFL Christmas Gameday on Dec. 25 at 1:00 PM ET and 4:30 PM ET (Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears, followed by Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos); and a Week 18 matchup on Jan. 9 at 1:00 PM ET, the final weekend of the regular season, with playoffs on the line. On-air talent for these additional games will be announced at a later date. In addition to the on-field action this season, Netflix will also stream NFL Honors globally, showcasing the League’s annual awards presentation the week of the Super Bowl.
True crime series Somebody Knows Something premieres August 10 on Freeform. The series follows true crime influencer Kara Chamberlain as she investigates unsolved murders and missing persons cases that have stumped law enforcement and haunted internet sleuths for decades. The docuseries brings renewed urgency to some of the country’s most high-profile unsolved mysteries, shining a light on investigations that have gone cold. A former law enforcement officer and survivor of violent crime herself, Chamberlain brings a unique perspective, working alongside families, law enforcement and the true crime online community in the hope that renewed attention reaches the one person who knows something.
As extreme weather events grow more frequent and intense, Sesame Workshop is launching its new initiative to help children, families, and communities prepare for, cope with, and recover from extreme weather like hurricanes, floods, and wildfires. With funding from long-time partner PSEG Foundation, the initiative debuts with a new storm‑themed Sesame Street special premiering on Netflix and PBS KIDS on August 3, and on YouTube in September, along with View-and-Do activities and trusted educational resources to help families navigate whatever weather comes their way. In the Storm on Sesame Street special, Elmo and his friends work together to get ready for a big storm, learning how to be prepared, have courage, and calm their bodies and minds when things feel scary. After the storm passes, Sesame Street looks different, and everyone pitches in to help their neighbors rebuild their homes. With the help of the neighborhood, including celebrity guests Post Malone and Michelle Buteau, Elmo and Abby set out to make a difference, and discover that small acts of kindness, and support from friends, can make the biggest difference of all.
