The third and final season of Colin from Accounts will premiere on Paramount+ September 10 with all episodes. The Voice: Celebrity will air Spring 2027 on NBC. An extension of the longstanding series, this special season swaps undiscovered talent for a wide range of celebrities – actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality television stars – competing to become the first “Voice” celebrity champion. These celebrity artists will be announced at a later time. Keke Palmer takes the helm as host for the new season. Joe Jonas makes his coaching debut alongside coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green, both returning for back-to-back seasons. It will offer unprecedented access to artists throughout the competition as viewers watch familiar faces step outside their comfort zones and reveal new sides of themselves. New features such as Voice Boot Camp give viewers a behind-the-scenes look as celebrities prepare for their fan-favorite Blind Auditions while the VIP Room brings artists together to watch their fellow celebrities take the stage in real time. Later in the competition, the Workroom offers another window into the process as artists strategize, rehearse and ready themselves for the Battles.
Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story premieres September 17 on Netflix. When the repressed daughter of a wealthy New England family and her rebellious maid find themselves trapped in a house built on humiliation and cruelty, they escape into a fantasy of sex, power, and revenge. The gruesome unsolved murders that follow don’t just shock the world – they give birth to an icon who refuses to live imprisoned in a cage, choosing instead to forge her own legend: shocking, monstrous, and gloriously free. The series stars Ella Beatty, Vicky Krieps, Charlie Hunnam, Rebecca Hall along with Billie Lourd, Joey Pollari, Sarah Paulson, Jessica Barden.
Paramount has ordered Ascent starring Viola Davis. The series is a character-driven thriller set in the dangerous world of global corporate crisis and damage control. Davis will play elite corporate fixer Catriona Vail, who must weaponize the ruthless skills that have made her indispensable to billion-dollar clients when her estranged daughter is in danger.
Hulu has renewed The Artful Dodger for a third and final season. The high-octane season will be packed with more grit, bigger heists and bolder hijinks. The all-star cast, which includes Thomas Brodie-Sangster, David Thewlis and Maia Mitchell are returning in their respective roles as Dr. Jack Dawkins, Norbet Fagin and Lady Belle Fox.
BritBox announced additional casting for the upcoming six-part drama series Hercule, starring Edward Bluemel as Agatha Christie’s iconic Belgian detective. Joining Bluemel are Henry Ashton, James D’Arcy, Calvin Demba, Phil Dunning, Jack Gleeson, Tamsin Greig, James Nesbitt, Guy Remmers, Rebecca Rittenhouse and Mawaan Rizwan. The series will chronicle the story of the world’s greatest detective – and how he became it. The series, due to commence filming soon, primarily in Liverpool, is an intimate study of Hercule Poirot, the man and an epic portrait of Britain between the wars. It will center around three of Christie’s early stories, while also introducing Hercule Poirot to future friends and allies and one particular nemesis.
CBS has ordered a comedy pilot Hilda! (In Lights!) potentially for the 2027-2028 season. It is one of those classic shows about a plucky small-town optimist who moves to the big city to pursue her life-long dream of starring on Broadway. There’s just one teeny, tiny, totally inconsequential difference… our hero Hilda is a 70-year-old woman from Nebraska with absolutely no experience.
Production has begun on This Summer Will Be Different, based on the novel by the New York Times bestselling Canadian author, Carley Fortune. The Netflix series is filming on Prince Edward Island (PEI) and in Toronto. Netflix also announced new recurring cast, including Jordan Rodrigues as “Miles Lam,” Jude Wilson as “Zach”, Natalie Brown as “Christine”, James Tupper as “Ken”, Tom Barnett as “Peter” and Celia Owen as “Joy”. It is a simmering, sun-soaked romance set across multiple summers on Prince Edward Island about Lucy, a young woman navigating her 20s and her first real love with her best friend’s brother, the one person she was never supposed to fall for.
Carrie Underwood will star in the show open for NBC’s Sunday Night Football for the 14th consecutive season beginning September 13 on NBC and Peacock. In the latest evolution of SNF’s show opens since 2013, the year of Underwood’s debut, this year’s edition features scenes in three distinct locations – the recording studio, an intimate setting in a small music venue, and a concert performance in a packed stadium.

Swedish crime thriller series Blood Sacrifice premieres August 20 on Netflix. It is summer time in Stockholm, when the darkness never really creeps in. A 911 call is received, speaking of a home invasion. Two police officers are sent to the address, a summer house in the archipelago. Only to find there is no one there, at least not that they can see. The next day the bodies of the officers are found, a brutal crime. This is the start of a series of terrifying murders, all seemingly targeting police officers. The lead detective needs to ask his father, a retired detective, for help in cracking the case.

Chris Carter’s director’s cut The X-Files: I Want to Believe – Vrach Frankenshteyn premieres August 14 on Disney+ and hulu. This R-rated version represents the film Chris always envisioned – a darker, frightening thriller exploring a real-life Dr. Frankenstein. The restoration gives fans a chance to experience a side of the film that has never been seen before. The original 2008 film The X-Files: I Want to Believe will also be available the same day. When a group of women is mysteriously abducted, it becomes a case right out of The X-Files. Years after walking away from the FBI, Fox Mulder and Dr. Dana Scully are pulled back from the shadows when a federal agent vanishes without a trace.
