The Stars of NBC’S Days of our Lives returned to Universal CityWalk for its annual ‘Day of Days’ fan event Saturday, November 11, 2017. We spoke with star Judi Evans during the press event about playing a double role over the summer, Adrienne reuniting with Justin and more.

Days of our Lives has been on fire since the summer, mostly thanks to the writing of new head writer Ron Carlivati and team Sheri Anderson Thomas and Ryan Quan, so fans were super excited for this year’s event.

Like every year, the complimentary event was set for 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and offered fans the chance to meet and greet their favorite DAYS cast members including Lucas Adams (Tripp), Kristian Alfonso (Hope), Lamon Archey (Eli), Camila Banus (Gabi), Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas), Kassie DePavia (Eve), Judi Evans (Adrienne/Bonnie), Mary Beth Evans (Kayla), Billy Flynn (Chad), Galen Gering (Rafe), Deidre Hall (Marlena), Bill Hayes (Doug), Susan Hayes (Julie), Drake Hogestyn (John), Olivia Keegan (Claire), Lauren Koslow (Kate), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Chandler Massey (Will), Marci Miller (Abigail), Casey Moss (JJ), Stephen Nichols (Steve), Thaao Penghlis (Andre), James Reynolds (Abe), Suzanne Rogers (Maggie), Meredith Scott Lynn (Anne), Christopher Sean (Paul), Freddie Smith (Sonny), Sal Stowers (Lani), and Vanessa Williams (Valerie) for autograph signings and Q&A sessions.

TV Source Magazine was on-hand talking to all the stars in the hopes of bringing you some scoop. Most of these interviews are not spoiler heavy, as actors are limited in what they can reveal about upcoming plots. But it’s nice to hear their insight about current and previous stories, as well as other tidbits.

We hope you’ll enjoy our interview with Judi Evans (Adrienne/Bonnie).

You’ve had quite the adventurous summer, taking on the dual role of Bonnie in addition to Adrienne. Now that Bonnie is sadly gone, are you going to miss her?
I missed her before she left! She’s so much fun and unpredictable and you never what’s next. That’s what I loved about reading those scripts. I would gasp! I loved the unpredictability and the possibilities – not that there’s no possibilities with Adrienne, of course there are, but Bonnie is a totally different character, crazy, never know what’s going next. Whereas Adrienne is tried and true – you know she’s 99 percent sure she’s always going to make the right decision. It’s kind of neat, they both are very different, and both are very fun. Adrienne has her funny moments too, but Bonnie is crazy.

Days of our Lives is celebrating 52 years on air. Do you have any favorite moments?
Currently, the last storyline is my favorite. It was fun having Bonnie and Adrienne together at the same time – the craziness, the wackiness, the drama that went through with that. But [as a viewer], I would have to say Marlena’s possession. I was on ‘Another World’ at that time, and we all would break for lunch for ‘Days of Our Lives’; we were all glued to the tube. ‘Another World’ would come on and we would go “lunch is over” but we were glued, I loved that storyline. For me it was fun to watch.

Many fans, including some of TV Source staff, hope Adrienne and Bonnie will be revealed to be twins, or at the very least, related in some manner. Would you want to do double duty full time?
100 percent! When you think about it, it would be kind of interesting where you have to play this whole beat where Adrienne would have to forgive her and understand her, and Bonnie would have to redeem herself but would never really be a good girl. I mean it could be very interesting.

Justin and Adrienne recently reunited after Adrienne realized she still had feelings for him. What can we expect from them coming up?
I’m not really sure what the next beat is, we’ll see. Justin and Adrienne belong together. They will be together forever. We have been through three divorces, but you never know what will be in store. As much as they are a couple for the ages, I’m sure they will probably go through something at some point.

Would you like the show to bring on Justin and Adrienne’s other children?
Oh, definitely. What’s great about it, is there’s four boys – Sonny, Alexander, and there’s Victor Jr. and Joey, who have no blood ties to the rest of Salem because they were adopted. So that could mix things up for the younger adults. We can find out who these boys are. Are they all like Sonny, sweet and good? Or do they have some issues.  And as a parent, usually there’s one you aren’t talking to, that’s why you have multiple children [laughs]. But it could really be fun.

Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Episodes are available online at NBC.com.
