Our national nightmare is over! CBS’ The Young and the Restless has finally found their new Adam Newman (again) after a long, long search. Former model Mark Grossman will take over the role of Victor Newman’s devilish baby boy, Adam.
This casting marks the third recast for the character previously played by Chris Engen (2008-2009), Michael Muhney (2009-2014) and Justin Hartley (2014-2016).
When viewers last saw Adam, he was presumably killed in an explosion caused by Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) as payback for the accidental death of her daughter Delia. Before his death, Adam was framed and set to prison thanks to Victor’s machinations, though a change of heart resulted in Adam’s temporary freedom. Not only will Adam have a bone to pick with his father, but how will things go with his brother Nick? Though the two had seemingly reached a mutual understanding about the future of Adam’s son Christian, will he feel differently upon return?
Daytime Confidential was the first to report the news, which was confirmed by a show publicist when contacted by Soap Opera Digest.
Mark Grossman is a Maryland native who was bitten by the acting bug at a young age. After graduating high school, Grossman moved to LA where he modeled while pursuing his dream. His notiable credits include TV movies Double Mommy, Before I Got Famous and the Freeform series Famous in Love.
