When You debuted on Lifetime in September 2018 no one could have guessed the massive hit it would become. Averaging around 600,000 live viewers per episode during its first season, the series garnered over 40 million viewers in just four weeks when it landed on Netflix.

Based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name, You told the story of serial killer Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) and his obsession with struggling writer Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail).

Now a Netflix original series, the streamer is giving fans a belated Christmas gift with the second season of You dropping on December 26. Here are seven teasers to get you even more excited for You season two…

Will the Real Will Bettelheim Please Stand Up

Joe Goldberg, now going by the name Will Bettelheim, has relocated to Los Angeles in an attempt to evade his back-from-the-dead ex. But what happened to the real Will Bettelheim? Viewers will find out by the end of the second season premiere.

What’s Love Got to Do With It?

The answer to that question is, well, everything. Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), Joe’s newest obsession, is an instantly compelling character harboring secrets of her own and to say more than that would veer into spoiler territory.

You Candace If You Want To

Fans curious to know more about Joe and Candace’s (Ambyr Childers) past relationship will get their wish in season two, with an episode that takes viewers back to the fateful night Candace was presumed dead.

Locked Up

Joe may not be in New York anymore, but the infamous cage from the first season shows up again in season two — just not in the way you might expect.

#MeToo

Although the series has come to be known for its insane twists, You season two tackles real-world issues with a #MeToo subplot involving Delilah (Carmela Zumbado), an investigative reporter and landlord of Joe’s building.

Mama Drama

Season two dives deeper into Joe’s past, particularly the complicated relationship with his mother.

The Past Beckons

Joe may have fled New York, but that doesn’t mean the past is behind him. Let’s just say Candace isn’t the only character from season one making an appearance this season.

You season two drops on Netflix Thursday, December 26.
