Star Wars: Ahsoka premieres on Disney+ August 23. Set after the fall of the Empire, the series follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. The series stars Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, David Tennant, Lars Mikkelsen and Eman Esfandi.
The Afterparty returns for season two July 12 on Apple TV+. In the new season, a wedding is ruined when the groom is murdered and every guest is a suspect. Detective Danner returns to help Aniq and Zoë solve whodunnit by questioning family members, star-crossed lovers and business partners, and hearing each suspect’s retelling of the weekend, each with their own unique perspective and visual style. Stars Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao reprise their roles for season two, which will introduce a new case and an expanded cast of characters played by John Cho, Paul Walter Hauser, Ken Jeong, Anna Konkle, Poppy Liu, Elizabeth Perkins, Jack Whitehall, Zach Woods and Vivian Wu.
Season two of Good Omens will premiere on Prime Video July 28 with all six episodes. Originally based on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s novel, Good Omens 2 explores storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the ineffable friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare-book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley. Having been on Earth since The Beginning, and with the Apocalypse thwarted, the duo are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho. That is, until the archangel Gabriel turns up unexpectedly at the door of Aziraphale’s bookshop with no memory of who he is or how he got there. While Crowley is leery as to why the archangel has come to the bookshop, Aziraphale is keen to solve the mystery behind Gabriel’s condition. However, hiding the archangel from both Heaven and Hell quickly disrupts their lives in unforeseen ways. To solve this mystery and thwart Heaven and Hell in the process, the duo will need more than a miracle; they’ll need to once again rely on each other.
Season two of Below Deck Down Under will premiere on Bravo July 17. Beginning Monday, July 24, two new episodes will air back-to-back each week. Captain Jason Chambers and Chief Stew Aesha Scott will return for the new season. New crew members include Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph, Bosun Luke Jones, Deckhands Adam Lukasiewicz and Harry Van Vliet, and Stews Laura Bileskaine and Margot Sisson.
The fun-filled travel docuseries Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham returns for season two on Starz August 11. Join Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish as they travel down under and hit the road again for a four-episode second season – this time in the adventure capital of the world: New Zealand.
Superstar: Aaliyah will premiere on ABC June 14. The primetime event explores how Aaliyah emerged as a chart-topping musician, actress on the rise and fashion trendsetter as a young teenager. The program sheds light on the circumstances of her underage marriage to R. Kelly, who has since been convicted as a sex offender, and shows how Aaliyah’s relevance continues as a new generation experiences her music decades later.
The CW has picked up Inside the NFL. First premiering in 1977, the series will kick off its 47th year of production this fall and air for the first time ever on broadcast television, making its CW debut on Tuesday, September 5 at 8. It most recently aired on Paramount+ and before that aired on Showtime and also a run on HBO prior. Hosts for the series will be announced at a later date.
Bonnie Langford will be returning to Doctor Who again in the upcoming new season which will see Ncuti Gatwa play the Fifteenth Doctor. She previously appeared as the companion to the Sixth and Seventh Doctors, then reprised her role in the final run of the Thirteenth Doctor.
Previously announced plans to expand adult swim further into the 6PM hour currently occupied by Cartoon Network are coming into focus. Repeats of classic Cartoon Network series including Dexter’s Laboratory, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Ed, Edd, n’ Eddy will air in the new hour starting August 28. Repeats of new series Unicorn: Warriors Eternal and My Adventures With Superman will air in the hour on Saturdays. ACME Night will continue to air from 6-9PM on Sundays featuring family films. The network recently expanded into the 7PM hour.
Dr. Pimple Popper returns with ten new episodes June 21 on TLC. Renowned dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Sandra Lee is no stranger to unusual skin issues, and in this new crop of episodes we see even more extreme cases and experience life-changing stories. In one case, large, painful keloids on a trans woman’s ears are keeping her from completing the journey she set out on over a year ago. In another case, 8-year-old Wynter can’t stop scratching her arms and legs. But after meeting Dr. Lee, the two bond over having eczema in common. Also this season, Dr. Lee meets Dan, her tallest patient ever at 6’6″ who has Pilar cysts covering the top of his head. Through it all, Dr. Lee’s life’s work continues to be more than skin deep – she jumps at every challenge with a smile and a love for her patients and their skin. Acorn TV has renewed Signora Volpe for a second season. To the casual observer, there’s nothing remarkable about Sylvia Fox – an intelligent, confident woman in her forties, she tends to keep quiet about her formidable linguistic abilities, impressive knowledge of weaponry, and skills as a markswoman. Questions about her professional life are met with bland answers about an unspectacular career in the Civil Service. Which is only very slightly true – because until recently, Sylvia was a high-ranking British spy. When Sylvia arrives in Italy for the wedding of her niece Alice, she’s disillusioned with her job at MI6 headquarters in London, and in need of a break. But then the bridegroom disappears, leaving a dead body in the lake at the bottom of his garden, and Sylvia takes it upon herself to solve the mystery and save Alice from disaster.
McCabe Slye has been promoted to series regular in the upcoming second season of HBO’s Winning Time: The Rise Of The Lakers Dynasty. Slye, who plays Jimmy Buss, first appeared in the first season finale. Jimmy is the youngest son of Lakers owner Jerry Buss.
Brian King has been cast in NBC’s upcoming series The Irrational. He will recur in the series starring Jesse L. Martin based on the book Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely.
The Tony Awards: Act One are set to be hosted by Julianne Hough and Skylar Astin. The live pre-show will air on Pluto TV Sunday, June 11 at 6:30-8:00 PM, ET/3:30-5:00 PM, PT. The 76th Annual Tony Awards hosted by Ariana DeBose will air live from the historic United Palace in New York City’s Washington Heights, from 8:00-11:00 PM, ET/5:00-8:00 PM, PT on the CBS Television Network, and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+.

A new season of Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge premieres on National Geographic July 9. Peacock has released the second episode of Bupkis for free on YouTube. The series starring Pete Davidson, Edie Falco and Joe Pesci will also air June 10 on NBC following the Saturday Night Live encore, featuring host Miles Teller and musical guest Kendrick Lamar. Viewers can catch up on all episodes, streaming now on Peacock. In the episode young Pete (Preston Brodrick) attends a wedding just weeks after losing his father on 9/11 and bonds with his uncle (Bobby Cannavale).
