CBS has announced more cast joining its upcoming daytime soap series Beyond The Gates. Brandon Claybon, Timon Durrett, Sean Freeman, Marquita Goings, Maurice Johnson, Trisha Mann-Grant, RhonniRose Mantilla, Ambyr Michelle, Colby Muhammad and Arielle Prepetit are set to star in the series. They join previously announced stars Tamara Tunie, Daphnee Duplaix and Karla Mosley. The series is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington, D.C., and in one of the most affluent African American counties in the United States. Here you’ll find a posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions to call home. At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty. But behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered. And those that live outside these gates are watching closely. These are the places where our characters live, love, work and play. Those who have “made it” and those who haven’t are all trying to navigate life … and some with more grace than others. 

Netflix has renewed Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft for a second season. Lara will officially join forces with the one and only Sam Nishimura for an all-new adventure.

Season two of The Rig will premiere on Prime Video in January 2025. Helicopters have taken the surviving crew of the Kinloch Bravo to a new secret offshore facility called the Stac, nestled deep in the extraordinary and deadly landscapes of the Arctic Circle. Here, the trapped crew must deal with the emotional and physical fallout of the devastating tsunami that destroyed the Bravo, and contend with swirling conspiracies, corporate conflicts, and new threats from the dark depths of the world’s ocean. The second series will continue exploring global themes – weaving together the past, present, and future of the planet while taking the viewer to spectacular environments and drawing on the frontiers of cutting edge ocean technology – including the controversial world of deep sea mining. David Macpherson has created a new story that delivers epic thrills and gripping action for a compelling cast of characters, both returning and new. 

Season nine of Queer Eye premieres on Netflix December 11. Nine time’s the charm! This season brings its transformative magic to the iconic city of Las Vegas, where the Fab Five, now joined by interior designer Jeremiah Brent, meet a fresh group of individuals ready for a life-changing experience. From a former showgirl struggling to regain her confidence to a dedicated librarian in need of a change, watch as the Fab Five light up Sin City and transform the lives of their heroes in spectacular Vegas style. 

Medical drama series Doc will premiere on Fox January 2025. The series follows Dr. Amy Larsen, Chief of Internal and Family Medicine at Westside Hospital in Minneapolis. After a brain injury erases the last eight years of her life, Amy must navigate an unfamiliar world where she has no recollection of patients she’s treated, colleagues she’s crossed, the soulmate she divorced, the man she now loves and the tragedy that caused her to push everyone away. She can rely only on her estranged 17-year-old daughter, whom she remembers as a 9-year-old, and a handful of devoted friends, as she struggles to continue practicing medicine, despite having lost nearly a decade of knowledge and experience. 

The English dub of DEMON LORD 2099 premieres on Crunchyroll October 26. Five centuries ago, Demon Lord Veltol reigned over an immortal nation. Now, the time has come for him to awaken once again. The year is 2099, and civilization has reached peak evolution, leading to a high-tech landscape with towering skyscrapers—nothing like he’s conquered before. Veltol may be a relic of the past, but make no mistake, this new world will be his for the taking!

Two hour special The Real Full Monty premieres on Fox December 9. Anthony Anderson rallies a cast of male celebrities, including himself, Taye Diggs, Chris Jones, Tyler Posey, Bruno Tonioli and James Van Der Beek to encourage men to get checked and strip the stigma around prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer. Anderson will lead Diggs, Jones, Posey, Tonioli and Van Der Beek as they train and rehearse for the most revealing performance of their careers, culminating with a big strip-tease dance, choreographed by Mandy Moore, where they will bare all in front of a live audience. Leading up to the final disrobing, the men will expand their limits, test their modesty and strengthen their bond with a series of rehearsals and experiences, both private and public, designed to build confidence and remove them far from their comfort zone and forge a brotherhood. Along the way, each of the celebrities will share their personal stories of how cancer has impacted their lives. It is based on the international unscripted format first broadcast on the U.K.’s ITV in 2017. 

Defying Gravity: The Curtain Rises on Wicked will premiere on NBC November 19. Filmed on the movie’s stunning Emerald City set, stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang and Marissa Bode and will share personal memories, intimate video diaries and revealing secrets about their personal journeys through the making of the Universal Pictures film. It will also debut the world premiere of a “thrillifying” scene from the motion picture that audiences can only see in this behind-the-scenes special. With exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the cast, unique details and stories from their time on set together, and never-before-seen footage, it will give fans unprecedented access to the must-see film of this holiday season. 

Adrienne Iapalucci’s new comedy special The Dark Queen premieres November 12. Adrienne takes aim at our public figures, awkward tribute tattoos, virtue signaling, and more in this unfiltered stand-up special. The acclaimed comedian filmed the special at New York’s famed Comedy Cellar last fall, but since Adrienne’s always two steps ahead of the culture, the jokes are tied right into the 2024 zeitgeist.

Six part British crime thriller Rebus premieres November 7 on Viaplay. The series reimagines the iconic character John Rebus as a younger Detective Sergeant, drawn into a violent criminal conflict that turns personal when his brother Michael, a former soldier, crosses the line into criminality. Set in present-day Edinburgh, a demoted John Rebus is at a psychological crossroads. As he struggles to navigate a world increasingly driven by technology, Rebus finds himself embroiled in a toxic affair with the wife of his disabled former police partner and replaced in his daughter’s life by his ex-wife’s wealthy husband. Rebus begins to wonder if he still has a role to play as a father and contemporary police officer. In a world of divisive politics and national deprivation, does the law still have meaning or is everyone reverting to an older set of rules? And if so, why shouldn’t Rebus?

Season three of Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest premieres October 28 on Crunchyroll. Hajime Nagumo and his high school class are suddenly summoned to a fantastical land as heroes. But while most of his classmates have powerful stats and abilities, Hajime does not.
