Netflix has renewed Leanne for a second season. Leanne’s (Leanne Morgan) world is turned upside down when her husband of 33 years unexpectedly leaves her for another woman. Supported by her family, including her ride-or-die sister Carol (Kristen Johnston), Leanne learns to embrace the chaos and finds strength, laughter and hope in the most unexpected places. This heartfelt comedy proves that it’s never too late to rewrite your story. Leanne Morgan’s new stand-up special Unspeakable Things premieres globally on Netflix November 4. It’s her second hour-long special following her 2023 breakout I’m Every Woman, Netflix’s most-viewed comedy special by a woman since early 2023. Unspeakable Things is the first of two new specials in her deal with Netflix. 

The Chair Company premieres October 12 on HBO. After an embarrassing incident at work, a man (Tim Robinson) finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy. In addition to Tim Robinson as William Ronald Trosper, series regulars include Lake Bell as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis as Natalie Trosper, Will Price as Seth Trosper, and Joseph Tudisco as Mike Santini. Lou Diamond Phillips recurs as Jeff Levjman. 

CBS announced fall season premiere dates for its daytime lineup. The Price Is Right returns for season 54 September 22. Season 17 of Let’s Make A Deal premieres September 22. The Young and The Restless season 53 premieres October 7. Season 39 of The Bold and The Beautiful premieres September 15. Beyond The Gates continues its groundbreaking debut season this fall.

Crew Girl, a new Netflix coming-of-age teen drama, is officially in production in Victoria, British Columbia. A frothy, coming-of-age teen drama about a 16-year-old female rower Teagan who becomes the coxswain of a dysfunctional all-boys rowing team at an elite East Coast Prep School. Warring rivals, messy romantic entanglements, and betrayed friendships spill drama both in and out of the boat. Not to mention her complicated relationship with her mom, Ella. The team’s a mess, her life’s a mess. Can she fix both and win? 

Role-playing mystery reality series Crime Scene Zero premieres September 23 on Netflix. The murder culprit lurks among us! Mind games, shocking truths, and unpredictable twists will put your crime-solving instincts to the test. 

Maigret premieres October 5 on PBS. Chief Inspector Maigret, at your service. The thrilling new series stars Benjamin Wainwright. 

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery premieres December 12 on Netflix and in select theaters November 26. Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) returns for his most dangerous case yet in the third and darkest chapter of Rian Johnson’s murder mystery opus. Starring Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church. 

Two SWAT stars are set to appear in the upcoming SWAT Exiles spinoff series. Jay Harrington and Patrick St. Esprit will appear as Deacon and Commander Hicks. No word on how involved they will be beyond the pilot. 

Acorn TV has renewed Irish Blood for a second season. The series focuses on Fiona (Alicia Silverstone), whose path in life is earmarked by her father, Declan (Jason O’Mara), who seemingly abandoned her and her mother on her tenth birthday. After years of channeling anger toward him, to the benefit of her litigious clients, a message from her father sends her to Ireland. There she learns key truths about her father as well as a family that doesn’t know she exists, and, moreover, that the story of abandonment that has shaped her entire life – was a lie. A lie intended to protect her and her mother from her father’s shady business dealings. Fiona resolves to uncover the full truth about her father and reconnect with the parent she only thought she knew. 

NBC Fall Preview Presented by Access Hollywood will premiere September 16 on NBC. The one-hour primetime event will showcase NBC and Peacock’s diverse and electric fall lineup. The special features Access Hollywood hosts Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, Scott Evans, Zuri Hall and guest correspondent Emily Orozco as they connect with some of the brightest stars in entertainment and sports. It will also take viewers on set for behind-the-scenes secrets of their favorite series, including NBC’s The Voice and Brilliant Minds (Sept. 22), Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU (Sept. 25),On Brand with Jimmy Fallon (Sept. 30), #OneChicago (Oct. 1), St. Denis Medical (Nov. 3), Happy’s Place (Nov. 7), and Peacock’s The Paper (available now on Peacock), and Bel-Air (Nov. 24). 

The year of 2026 marks a historic chapter for “Star Trek” as the legendary franchise will celebrate its 60th anniversary on next year’s Star Trek Day (Sept. 8, 2026.) Today, in celebration of this year’s Star Trek Day, it was announced that the 60th celebrations will officially begin in January 2026, featuring notable partnerships, new launches and memorable moments throughout the year. The 60th anniversary celebrates “Space for Everybody,” extending an open invitation to celebrate the future that “Star Trek” aspires to – a future of HOPE, a future of EXPLORATION and a future where we rise to the challenge to BE BOLD. Additional news and announcements for the 60th will be revealed at a later date. The highly anticipated STAR TREK: STARFLEET ACADEMY is set to launch in early 2026. The series introduces viewers to a young group of cadets who come together to pursue a common dream of hope and optimism. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they discover what it takes to become Starfleet officers as they navigate blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself. Academy Award winner Holly Hunter stars as the Chancellor of the Starfleet Academy and the Captain of the U.S.S. Athena, with Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti recurring as the season’s villain. Critically acclaimed STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS wraps up this week with an exciting season three finale episode on Thursday, Sept. 11, streaming on Paramount+, and fans can expect more thrilling adventures with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise with the upcoming seasons four and five. Launching today is STAR TREK: SCOUTS, a brand-new, original animated YouTube-first series that marks the first preschool extension of the “Star Trek” franchise. It follows three 8-year-old friends, JR, Sprocket and Roo, as they train to become future Starfleet Explorers by going on epic, out-of-this-world missions that push them to “discover, grow and boldly go!” Two episodes of the short-form series (3-4 min each) are available now on Nickelodeon’s Blaze and the Monster Machines YouTube channel, with the remainder of the 20-episode order continuing to roll out into next year.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is hitting the road and heading to the Motor City for its first-ever visit to Detroit, for a one-night-only special episode at the historic Detroit Opera House on Sunday, Sept. 14. The episode will air the following night, Sept. 15, on NBC and the next day on Peacock, bringing Fallon’s signature mix of comedy, music and all-star guests to the heart of downtown Detroit. Entering its fifth year collaborating with the late-night talk show and longstanding partnership with NBCUniversal, Ford will team up with Fallon in this special episode to spotlight a lineup of star-studded guests with deep Detroit roots. The taping will take place at the Detroit Opera House. For over 20 years, Ford Motor Company and Ford Philanthropy have proudly supported the Detroit Opera House and its mission to expand the arts to new audiences and communities. This special Detroit episode will air ahead of the previously announced post- “Sunday Night Football” editions of “The Tonight Show,” kicking off on Sept. 21. 

Barbara Walters Tell Me Everything will make its network premiere September 25 on ABC. Barbara Walters (Sept. 25, 1929-Dec. 30, 2022) didn’t just report the news – she made news. She was a true American original and a trailblazer who broke ground for women in broadcasting. The documentary gives viewers an intimate and raw look at her astonishing career, personal life, and the challenges she faced trying to balance it all as a woman in a male-dominated industry. Walters, in her own words, also reflects on the high price of fame and the legacy she hoped to inspire. The film features unaired footage from ABC’s extensive archives and interviews with people who knew and worked with the broadcast legend, including Cindy Adams, Joy Behar, Connie Chung, Martin Clancy, Andy Cohen, Katie Couric, Peter Gethers, Lori Klein, Cynthia McFadden, Bette Midler, Victor Neufeld, David Sloan, Katie Nelson Thomson, Chris Vlasto and Oprah Winfrey. 

Japanese epic Last Samurai Standing premieres November 13 on Netflix. Set in the late 19th century during the Meiji period, Last Samurai Standing thrusts viewers into a relentless life-and-death game. At nightfall, 292 warriors – including lead character Shujiro Saga- gather at Kyoto’s Tenryuji Temple, each lured by the promise of a massive cash prize. Each donning a single wooden tag, participants must steal the tags of their rivals and race to Tokyo to claim victory. As the signal sounds, the temple erupts into chaos, launching a brutal fight for survival where only one can stand victorious. 

Bully Hunter premieres September 23 on A&E. The special digs into the complex and disturbing world of cyberbullying, where torment is relentless and victims are desperate for relief. When online abuse escalates and no one else can help, they turn to Dr. James McGibney – the investigator who made headlines for taking down revenge porn king, Hunter Moore. In this special, James uses his unique methods to unmask bullies, confront online predators, and help victims reclaim their lives. 

Old Dog, New Tricks premieres October 3 on Netflix. He takes care of pets. She follows them on Instagram. A rural Galician veterinarian is forced to work in a luxury pet boutique alongside his niece. He will treat animals while discovering that surviving in this new ecosystem will not be easy. Two generations, two worlds colliding: tradition and modernity, mud and glamour.

Additional artists have been added to the historic concert from Vatican City titled Grace for the World. Jennifer Hudson and BamBam join the lineup of live performances by Pharrell Williams with the Voices of Fire Gospel Choir, Maestro Andrea Bocelli, John Legend, Karol G, Clipse, Teddy Swims, Jelly Roll, The Choir of the Diocese of Rome led by Maestro Marco Frisina, and Angélique Kidjo, plus an international choir assembled for the occasion with musical direction by Adam Blackstone. A spectacular aerial drone and light show by Nova Sky Stories, featuring imagery inspired by the Sistine Chapel, will further enhance the show. It will be live streamed globally on Disney+, Hulu, and ABC News Live on September 13 starting at 3pm ET / 12pm PT, with a replay of the concert available on Disney+ after the event. Live from the heart of Vatican City at St. Peter’s Square, this historic event marks the first time that a concert will be staged in this significant setting.

Vampirina: Teenage Vampire premieres September 12 on Disney Channel and all episodes October 15 on Disney+. The series tells the story of a tween vampire girl who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Living amongst humans for the first time, she pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire identity a secret, something that’s made more challenging when her overprotective father charges an overzealous ghost to live with her at the school. Vampirina, or “Vee,” is an already beloved character from the popular book saga and the Disney Jr. series. Vampirina: Teenage Vampire is the first live-action portrayal. 

Dr. Seuss’s Horton! premieres October 6 on Netflix. Horton follows the exciting and whimsical adventures of a young Horton and his best bud Samson as they go on adventures to help the citizens of the Jungle of Nool.
