Paramount+ has ordered a Clueless event series starring original movie star Alicia Silverstone. The project was initially passed on at Peacock. Silverstone will reprise her role as the Beverly Hills’ it-girl Cher Horowitz and will also serve as an executive producer for the series, set to begin production in Los Angeles in 2027. Picking up 30 years after the original film, beloved Beverly Hills icon Cher Horowitz has figured out a lot: She’s successful in business and has mastered motherhood – that is, until her daughter’s high school years, and Cher finds that parenting a teenager makes her feel “clueless” all over again.
Starz has ordered You Are Here based on the book by David Nicholls. Matthew Macfadyen and Claire Foy will lead the cast as Michael and Marnie respectively. Netflix and AMC Global Media have reached a multi-year global licensing agreement under which the companies will have co-exclusive streaming rights to the original The Walking Dead series, as well as all six spin-off series that make up The Walking Dead Universe. Netflix has been the exclusive U.S. streaming home of The Walking Dead since 2011. Starting in 2027, Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead: Dead City, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, The Walking Dead: World Beyond and Tales of The Walking Dead will come to Netflix globally as well as AMC+ where available. In all, the agreement includes 371 episodes across all seasons and series.
HBO has ordered a five episode limited series titled The Trial of Louise Woodward starring Meghann Fahy. The series tells the shocking true story of how, in 1997, an 18-year-old British au pair was accused of shaking to death a baby left in her care by her American host family, setting off an international media firestorm as the trial unfolds in full view of both the British and American public.
NFL Network will become available to fans on the ESPN App beginning July 30, for Unlimited plan subscribers. The addition brings one of football’s most established dedicated destinations for live games, replays of unforgettable matchups, studio programming and original content directly into the ESPN App. With the addition, ESPN App subscribers with an Unlimited plan gain access to 19 NFL Network preseason games (subject to out-of-market restrictions) – with the remaining preseason schedule available via re-air – seven NFL regular season games, including five signature NFL International Series matchups and a Week 16 doubleheader, more than 1,500 hours of live studio coverage annually, and an expanding slate of original features and storytelling. NFL Network’s arrival on the ESPN App adds to ESPN’s expansive “Year of the Super Bowl” programming, which includes the largest NFL game portfolio in company history (regular season and postseason), culminating with ESPN’s first-ever Super Bowl presentation – Super Bowl LXI – on Feb. 14, 2027, from SoFi Stadium. Drawing on previously unreleased prison recordings, firsthand accounts, and archival footage, this documentary series traces Charles Manson’s rise as a cult leader, the 1969 murders that followed, and the media spectacle of his trial. The series features interviews with former Manson Family members and law enforcement alongside recorded phone calls with Manson himself.
