A Heartbreaking Goodbye

Rick and Phoebe are in a horrible car accident. Phoebe dies in Ridge’s arms. Ridge is faced with the horrible task of telling Taylor and Steffy that Phoebe has died. All of the Forresters are filled with grief to discover that Phoebe is gone. Overcome with grief, Taylor collapses and almost suffers a nervous breakdown. Thomas begs Ridge to move in to care for a devastated Taylor. A reluctant Ridge agrees. Rick apologizes to Taylor. The Forresters and Logans gather to say their final goodbyes to Phoebe. An emotional Steffy is heartbroken as she says goodbye to her twin. At the funeral, Ridge and Taylor deliver a beautiful tribute to their daughter.

The Forresters, led by Stephanie, blame Rick for the accident. Stephanie demands that Lt. Baker investigate the accident and Rick’s role in it. Rick is devastated and blames himself for the accident. Brooke tries to protect Rick from the Forresters. Rick confesses to his mother. Brooke vows that she will always be there for Rick. Stephanie wants Rick prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for the death of Phoebe. Eric disagrees with Stephanie. Brooke and Stephanie argue over Rick’s role in the accident. Ridge and Brooke’s relationship is strained because of the tragedy.
