Anna Stuart returns to “All My Children.”
Daytime veteran, Anna Stuart, returns to All My Children as Mary Smythe, Greenlee’s mother after departing the ABC sudser in 2005. According to Soap Opera Digest, Mary Smythe returns to Pine Valley after getting an invitation from Erica Cane. While Mary’s visit to Pine Valley is short and her on screen time with rival Erica is limited, she will make time to get under the skin of her daughter, Greenlee. Stuart says, “It’s a very nice call to get. I know that Rebecca (Budig, Greenlee) has certainly been wanting it.” According to Stuart, the show is planning another episode for Stuart in February.
Anna Stuart is no stronger to daytime. Fans are familiar with Stuart who portrayed Donna Love Hutchins Hudson Cory on the long running soap Another World from 1983-1986, 1989-1990, 1991-1993, 1993-1999. Prior to joining Another World, Anna portrayed Vanessa Chamberlain on Guiding Light from 1980-1981. She also appeared on General Hospital as Dr. Gina Dante Lansing in 1977. In 2001, Stuart’s character of Donna Love crossed over to As The World Turns for one episode. In 2002, she made an appearance for one episode on ABC’s One Life to Live as Rae Cummings.
Anna Stuart comes home to Pine Valley on January 29th.

ALso, Lalla Robins arrived on January 29 as Reese’s (Tamara Braun) mother Claire Williams. Claire showed up unexpectedly at Reese’s bridal shower to a not so happy mother and daughter reunion.
