The debut of the much-anticipated comedy web series Addicts Anonymous is upon us! After a year of successful fundraising via Kickstarter, hilarious trailers and one-of-a-kind events to promote the project and exclusive screenings, the series will make its premiere Tuesday, November 26 at 7PM!
The series boasts a mixture of veteran and new, young talent. Bringing the star power is Shawn Christian (Days of our Lives, CSI: Miami, Summerland), Lori Laughlin (Full House, Summerland, 90210), Matt Walsh (The Hangover) and Jerry Lambert (Family Guy). Young talent includes soap stars Freddie Smith (Days of our Lives, 90210), Molly Burnett (Days of our Lives, True Blood) and more.
Developed as a series of web episodes, the writing and acting team of Nate Hartley (The Bernie Mac Show, Drillbit Taylor), Jack Briggs (Private Practice, Miss Dial), Freddie Smith and Christian are excited Addicts is making its public debut: “After months of writing, filming and editing we are excited to introduce Addicts Anonymous to a wide audience. We are thrilled to see the crowd’s reaction and are ecstatic that people will finally get to see our hilarious series play out on screen.”
Addicts Anonymous will premiere via the series website, www.addictsanonymous.tv where audiences will be able watch the show on their computers, tablets, YouTube and more. New episodes will air weekly, every Tuesday.
Addicts Anonymous drops viewers into the hilarious group sessions of social misfits struggling with addictions of all kinds – drugs, food, sex, anger, and more. A loveable idiot, Gary Goldberg, teaches the addiction therapy program in college that handles all addictions, in the same room, all at the same time. Addicts creators are currently pitching the web series for a full television pick-up and shopping for studio distribution.
