‘Arrow’ Season 2 Finale Photo Preview: Can Oliver Save the City?

2

Last night, a lot went down on the penultimate episode of Arrow. Picking up where we left off the week before, Oliver and Laurel were trapped in the rubble beneath the streets, Digg was facing off with a homicidal Isabel and Thea was at the train station alone as the city began to fall apart.

Needless to say everyone got out of their initial dire predicaments in “Streets of Fire” because the main cast was not getting killed off in the cold open. We got to see Oliver instructing Laurel on how to use his bow, Felicity drove a van into Isabel and Malcolm Merlyn turned up in full dark archer gear to rescue his daughter. But there was no time to sigh with relief because all hell was still breaking loose across Starling City.

Let’s just recap the major events: the Mirakuru cure changed hands several times until Oliver felt he had no choice but to test the first dose on an unconscious Roy. Sebastian realized that he was on the wrong side and tried to help, but it was too late for him because Slade ordered Isabel to kill him. DA Kate Spencer also ended up dead, Quentin became a detective again, Laurel and Sara shared a beautiful sister moment that restored Sara’s confidence and Thea apparently chose to shoot Malcolm rather than let him get her to safety.

As if all of that was not enough for one episode, Amanda has made the decision to wipe Starling City and the Mirakuru soldiers off the map rather than risk them contaminating the rest of the country. She’s given Oliver until dawn before she carries out her plan. So now that we’re all caught up, what on earth does the show have in store for the season finale, “Unthinkable?”

The CW released the episode stills today and not only does the Suicide Squad return, but so does Nyssa and the League of Assassins. But whose side is everyone on? We can see that Nyssa and Canary are making a move against Isabel so it’s a safe bet that the League is planning on working with Team Arrow. The Suicide Squad pictures make things a little less clear since everyone seems to be aiming at each other (although it does seem like Amanda is the main target).

Oliver and Slade are preparing for their final battle and it looks like both Laurel and Felicity find themselves in peril. Will this be another choice that Oliver is forced to make? We have to be honest show: we won’t take kindly to either one of these ladies dying in the finale. We’re still not over Moira’s death and don’t even get us started on how upset we still are about Tommy’s death. So we will need our heroes to prevail on this one.

Arrow airs its season two finale on Wednesday, May 14 at 8/7c on The CW.

  1. Mmmm i think slade want Oliver makes a choice again and even I love Olicity i know he will pick laurel. I want to point somthing Slade has Felicity and a Mirakuru soldier has Laurel, I wonder if Slade percive feels in Oliver that the same Oliver doesnt know has for Felicity.
The same Felicity has a face that know she isnt the one he picks as “The most he loves”.,.So calm, so sure she is not his love.
I want to cry for her.
    I dont want Felicity dies:(

  2. I’d love for Laurel to die, but I’m sure that will not happen.
