AMC+ has acquired the psychological thriller Anne Boleyn. The limited series stars Jodie Turner-Smith playing the titular role. The drama explores the final months of Anne Boleyn’s life from the eponymous Queen’s perspective, as she struggles to secure a future for her daughter and to challenge the powerful patriarchy closing in around her. Anne Boleyn depicts the key moments that cause Anne to topple, unpicking her immense strength, her fatal vulnerabilities and her determination to be an equal among men. The series will premiere December 9. It had previously aired in the UK on Channel 5 this past summer. 

Last night’s season four premiere of Paramount Network’s Yellowstone gave fans a first look at the upcoming prequel spinoff series, 1883. The new series is set to premiere December 19 on Paramount+. 

Netflix has ordered a Selling Sunset spinoff series titled Selling The OC. The new series will star Oppenheim Group owner Jason Oppenheim as he runs his new real estate office with new agents in Newport Beach. It will premiere in 2022.

Paramount+ has renewed Star Trek: Prodigy for season two. The series will go on a break following the November 18 episode. It will then return for the second part of the first half of the season January 6. The remaining 10 episodes of the first season will then premiere at a later point, followed by the just announced second season. 

Netflix announced a new stand up comedy special starring Jim Gaffigan titled Jim Gaffigan: Comedy Monster. This will be Gaffigan’s sixth comedy special with Netflix and will premiere December 21. 

ABC’s syndicated talk show Tamron Hall has been renewed for two more seasons. The series is produced as a part of ABC News alongside The View and Good Morning America. Hall won a Daytime Emmy for her first season. 

ABC is developing a new comedy series inspired by Alanis Morissette’s life. Relatable follows a 40-something woman, married with three kids, who spent her young adult life as an international rock star, famous for her self-penned anthems of female rage and teen angst. Morissette will be an executive producer and write original music for the potential series.

Kenan Thompson is set to host the upcoming 2021 People’s Choice Awards. The show will air on NBC and E! December 7. Thompson is nominated for two awards this year. E! Will air their red carpet special Live from E!: The 2021 People’s Choice Awards starting at 7 leading up to the show. 

The 2021 American Music Awards hosted by Cardi B are set to air November 21 on ABC. The first performers have been announced for the award show and includes Bad Bunny, BTS, Megan Thee Stallion and Olivia Rodrigo. Additional performers will be announced ahead of the show. 

Peacock’s upcoming crime drama The Missing has cast Jeff Wilbusch as the series lead. Wilbusch will play Avraham Avraham, an NYPD detective with the 77th precinct, whose belief in mankind is his superpower when it comes to uncovering the truth. 

This holiday will see a new animated special from Jimmy Fallon on NBC. 5 More Sleeps ’til Christmas is based on his best selling children’s book and will premiere November 26. 

To celebrate the upcoming two year anniversary of Disney+, Disney has offered a special one month price of $1.99 for the streaming service. This all leading up to Disney+ Day, November 12, where new episodes, movies, specials and more will all have a special release on the streamer. 

The BBC’s series In My Skin will have its stateside second season premiere on hulu. The five episode season premieres today, November 8. 

Netflix released a new teaser for the upcoming fourth season of the series Stranger Things. We also got a better sense of when the new season will premiere. A general 2022 tease was all we had, but we now know it will premiere sometime in summer 2022.
