Netflix has canceled Julie and the Phantoms after one season. The series premiered in September 2020. There was no news on its future until executive producer Kenny Ortega posted the cancellation news on his instagram. The series followed Julie who lost her passion for music when she lost her mom. One day three ghostly guys appear and lift her spirits and they decide to start a band together. The series won multiple daytime Emmys and was a personal favorite of mine! It will be missed! 

HBO’s Euphoria returns for season two January 9. The first season aired in 2019 and was followed up with two specials in December 2020 and January 2021. The official trailer for the new season is out now.

Witness the untold history of the Continent with The Witcher: Blood Origin, a new Netflix prequel series set in an elven world 1200 years before the events of The Witcher. The Witcher: Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time, exploring the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal “Conjunction of the Spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one. It will be released in 2022.

Chris Noth has been dropped from CBS’s The Equalizer following sexual assault allegations. The actor will appear in one upcoming previously filmed episode but will not film any further episodes. 

Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party Hosted by Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson will be celebrating the new year with Brandi Carlile, Billie Joe Armstrong, Saweetie, Anitta, Jack Harlow, 24kGoldn, Kitty Ca$h and more surprises to come! The special will air December 31 on NBC. 

The Real Housewives of New Jersey returns for season twelve February 1. Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jennifer Aydin all will return for the new season along with new friend Traci Johnson. 

Due to NFL games needing to be rescheduled, Fox has had to make some changes to its holiday programming. The two Fantasy Island holiday episodes will air December 23. TMZ’s Merry Elfin’ Christmas: Bye, Bye 2021! will now air December 26.

HBO Max’s retrospective special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is set to premiere January 1. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson will reunite, together with other esteemed cast members and filmmakers across all eight Harry Potter films. In celebration of the anniversary of the franchise’s first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, this unique television event includes brand new cast discussions, insights from the creative team behind the magic, and comments from creator J.K. Rowling. 

Nickelodeon’s new live action comedy series Warped! will premiere January 20. The show follows two employees of a popular comic book shop, Warped!, who learn to embrace their differences, become best friends and set off to create the world’s greatest graphic novel. 

Oxygen’s new series Killer Relationship with Faith Jenkins will premiere January 16. The series investigates burgeoning romances from their sweet beginnings, and follows what happened all the way through to their bitter endings. With her background as a criminal prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, and with her expertise in matters of the heart, Faith Jenkins gives her professional POV of the nightmarish cases.

Oxygen’s other new series The Real Murders of Atlanta premieres January 16. The series shows unbelievable cases of homicide that highlight the boundaries between gentrified Southern dynasties, hip hop hustlers and the flashy nouveau riche of this metropolitan mecca of music, entertainment and tech. Told by the investigators, witnesses, reporters and loved ones who have direct connections to the cases, each hour-long story brings Atlanta’s hustle and deadly decadence into sharp focus.

Season three of Dr. Stone is set to premiere in 2023. A new special will also air acting as a bridge between season two and season three. 

A&E’s new docuseries Adults Adopting Adults premieres January 31. The ten episode series follows six incredible stories of adults seeking legal adoption for either a sincere desire for a true family experience or perhaps more questionable motives.
