Prime Video has ordered a third season of comedy series Upload. The series set in a technologically advanced future where hologram phones, 3D food printers, and automated grocery stores are the norm. Most uniquely, humans can choose to be “uploaded” into a virtual afterlife. The series stars Robbie Amell and Andy Allo.
NBC has ordered multicamera comedy series Lopez vs. Lopez to series. The series stars George Lopez, Mayan Lopez, Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzalez, and Matt Shively with Laci Mosley and Kiran Deol recurring. The series is a working-class family comedy about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between. It joins new series Quantum Leap and Night Court for next season.
Season four of Virgin River will premiere on Netflix July 20. Searching for a fresh start, a nurse practitioner moves from LA to a remote northern California town and is surprised by what, and who, she finds.
Ken Jeong has joined the cast of Apple TV+’s The Afterparty. Jeong joins Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao who returned from the first season along with new cast members Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall and Vivian Wu.

Josh Kelly has been cast in ABC’s General Hospital. No word yet on who Kelly will be playing in the series. He will make his premiere at the end of the month.

The coming of age series centers on 13-year-old Lucy who moves from California to start a new life in Rome with her dad and stepmom, Francesca – who happens to be an Italian pop star! Peacock has ordered Untitled Jason Woliner Project to series. In the style of Woliner’s work on Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, the series is a groundbreaking project that mixes fact and fiction to tell a bizarre and incredible tale. It’s a project that director Jason Woliner has been shooting for over a decade and a story that continues to pile on jaw-dropping new twists.
Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi will recur in Prime Video’s The Boys spinoff series. The series follows a group of students attending a college for superheroes.
Garrett Hedlund has joined the cast of Paramount+’s drama series Tulsa King. He joins Sylverster Stallone, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, Jay Will, and A.C. Peterson in the series from Taylor Sheridan.
CNN’s docuseries Watergate: Blueprint For A Scandal will premiere June 5. Bob Woodward, Carl Bernstein, Elizabeth Holtzman, Richard Ben-Veniste and Alexander Butterfield were interviewed for the four episode series.
HBO Max has acquired Kids & Family live action series Hank Zipzer, My Babysitter’s a Vampire, and The Next Step. All three seasons of Hank Zipzer will premiere May 13. My Babysitter’s a Vampire will premiere in October. Season 5-7 of The Next Step will premiere this summer with season 8 premiering in 2023.
Two new Let’s Make a Deal Primetime specials are set to air on CBS June 1 and June 8. The first will feature new and legacy contestants competing for amazing prizes, as well as hilarious bloopers and classic clips from the iconic game show throughout its history. The second features a costume extravaganza and over $500,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs.
HBO Max and Cartoon Network have ordered two specials based on the Mattel American Girl Franchise. American Girl: Corinne Tan is inspired by the doll brand’s 2022 Girl of the Year and the first of Chinese descent. It will air in December 2022. The second special will air in 2023.
