Hulu’s rom-com action thriller Wedding Season premieres September 8 with all eight episodes. The series tells the story of Katie and Stefan who fall for each other at a wedding and begin an affair, despite Katie already having a fiancé. Two months later at Katie’s wedding, her new husband and his entire family are murdered. The police think Stefan did it. Stefan thinks Katie did it. And no one knows for sure what the truth is… The series is an action-packed romp across the UK and the US as Katie and Stefan go on the run, all while trying to prove their innocence.

Season six of Rick and Morty premieres on adult swim September 4. It’s season six and Rick and Morty are back! Pick up where we left them, worse for wear and down on their luck. Will they manage to bounce back for more adventures? Or will they get swept up in an ocean of piss! Who knows?! Piss! Family! Intrigue! A bunch of dinosaurs! More piss! Apple TV+ has renewed dramedy Physical for a third season. Having successfully launched her first fitness video, Sheila Rubin encounters some new and bigger obstacles on her path. She is torn between loyalty to her husband and the values he represents, and a dangerous attraction to someone else. And since she’s no longer the only game in town, she finds herself having to outrun some fierce new competitors on the road to building a full-fledged fitness empire. The series stars Rose Byrne. 

Starz has renewed Power Book III: Raising Kanan for a third season. The renewal comes ahead of the second season premiere August 14. Set in the early 1990’s, the third series in the Power Universe tells the origin story of fan favorite character “Kanan Stark” and his entry into the criminal world through his mother, who ruthlessly runs the family’s drug empire. It stars MeKai Curtis in the titular role of “Kanan” and Patina Miller as his mother, Raquel “Raq” Thomas. 

Lauren Ambrose has joined the cast of Showtime’s Yellowjackets as the adult version of Van. Liv Hewson who plays the teen version of Van, has been upped to series regular in season two also. Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, the series is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over. 

PBS has renewed crime drama series Grantchester for an eight season. The news comes ahead of the seventh season finale, set to air August 14. Will is the happiest he’s ever been but his world will be rocked by a terrible accident. He’s always preached the word of a compassionate God – but how can he now, when his despair leads him on a dangerous downward spiral? Geordie has found a new contentment in his relationship with Cathy, but when they are both confronted with shocking announcements at work their happiness is threatened. As Mrs. C, Leonard, Jack and Daniel rally around, both Will and Geordie find themselves in unfamiliar, emotional waters and murder is always around the corner. The eighth season of will range from Speedway to spies, exploring the lives of invisible women and the very visible problems caused by Leonard’s new vocation which may, once again, find him battling the law. Exploring faith, forgiveness, and redemption – this explosive series tests Will and Geordie to the limit.

Apple TV+ is nearing a series order for Sinking Spring, a new eight episode series starring Brian Tyree Henry. Based on the book “Dope Thief” by Dennis Tafoya, the series follows long-time Philly friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside, only to have their small-time grift become a life-and-death enterprise, as they unwittingly reveal and unravel the biggest hidden narcotics corridor on the Eastern seaboard. 

Starz will not be moving forward with the previously announced Power spinoff series Influence. The series was initially set to be Book IV, but Force eventually took the title. Influence was to follow Rashad Tate as he followed his cutthroat quest for power. 

Wanda Sykes is set to host Ring Nation viral video series. The series premieres in syndication on September 26. It featuring a mix of eye-catching videos from the smart devices around our homes. Each episode gives audiences a daily dose of life’s unpredictable, heartwarming and hilarious viral videos shared by people from their video doorbells, smart home cameras and more. From neighbors saving neighbors and marriage proposals to military reunions and silly animals, Ring Nation showcases the most buzzworthy clips from coast to coast. 

Spectrum Originals will be winding down following the departure of Katherine Pope who ran the division. Originals include Joe Pickett which was renewed for a second season, Beacon 23, an AMC co-production which was recently renewed for a second season ahead of its series premiere, and George & Tammy which stars Jessica Chastain and Michael Shannon. A Spy Among Friends, a BritBox co-production which stars Damian Lewis and Guy Pearce, and Panhandle, a Roku co-production starring Luke Kirby are also among the roster of originals. Some of the original series may continue to air on Spectrum Originals, while others may find new homes. News on specific series will be announced at later dates.

Orlando Jones and Shannon Brown have joined Apple TV+’s Swagger for its second season. Christina Jackson and Sean Anthony Baker have also been promoted to series regulars after recurring in the first season. 

Zoe Terakes has been cast in Disney+’s Ironheart. The Marvel series stars Dominique Thorne as well as Anthony Ramos, Manny Montana, Alden Ehrenreich, and Shea Couleé. 

Zachary Quinto, Billie Lourd, Isaac Powell, and Patti LuPone are returning for the new season of FX’s American Horror Story. Sandra Bernhard, Joe Mantello, and Charlie Carver have also joined the new season. Details on the premise of the new season haven’t been announced and additional casting will be announced later. 

Jessica Harper, John Getz, Toks Olagundoye, David Sullivan, and Isabella Briggs will recur in Paramount+’s Fatal Attraction. Lizzy Caplan, Joshua Jackson and Amanda Peet star in the series which reimagines the classic film. 

NBC’s Capital One College Bowl kicks off its sophomore season with back to back episodes on September 9. Peyton Manning and Cooper Manning host as the nation’s greatest colleges and universities face off in the ultimate battle of brains. With a wide variety of subjects, teams must work together to test their knowledge in a five-round tournament. The top two schools advance to the final where they compete for the coveted “Capital One College Bowl” trophy and life-changing scholarship money. This season will touch down with bigger rivalries, impressive celebrity alumni shoutouts and new rounds of competition. More schools than ever before are competing, bringing more school spirit – from marching bands to mascots to a live audience cheering them on! Plus, NBC Data Analyst Steve Kornacki joins on the sidelines to break down the numbers behind the match-ups.

Prime Video has ordered docuseries Good Neighbors. The three episode series covers the rivalry between the Mexican and American national men’s soccer teams. The docuseries will debut this fall around the 2022 FIFA World Cup. 

Move or Improve premieres August 13 on A&E’s Home.Made.Nation. block. The series follows homeowners who find themselves at a real estate crossroads, embarking on the emotional journey to make a life-changing decision: to renovate and stay in their current home, move to a different home nearby, or relocate to a new city entirely. They all are wondering if they can get the home of their dreams for the same price as their current home. Each with relatable circumstances – new babies in tow, kids leaving for college, or a remote work-from-home plan – these homeowners are stuck in limbo as they try to solve their real estate needs and make the best decision for their family. 

Kane Brown is set to perform at the 2022 VMAs. Brown makes VMA history as the first male country artist to perform on the iconic show. He joins Anitta, J Balvin, Marshmello x Khalid and Panic! At The Disco who will also perform. The ceremony airs live from New Jersey’s Prudential Center August 28 on MTV.

MSNBC has canceled Zerlina Maxwell and Ayman Mohyeldin’s series on Peacock. Maxwell will remain with the network as an analyst while Mohyeldin will continue to host his weekend show on cable.

Why Not Us: Southern Dance premieres on ESPN+ August 11. A group of 25 dancers navigate rigorous auditions in hopes of joining the Fabulous Dancing Dolls of Southern University. With a limited number of slots available, the pressure is on to make the historic dance line. 

Starz’s Dangerous Liaison premieres November 6. The series is a bold prelude of Laclos’ classic 18th century novel focusing on the origin story of how his iconic characters, the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, met as passionate young lovers in Paris on the eve of the revolution. This modern take on a classic story takes audiences through wonder and terror, beauty and degradation, seduction and deception in pre-revolutionary Paris. Driven to right the wrongs of their past, the young couple’s survival depends on their skills of seduction and manipulation of not only the French nobility but of each other. Camille who is taken in by the current Marquise de Merteuil navigates her own path in a world of men, using the power of secrets to take back control, and Valmont who will stop at nothing to regain his title that was recently taken from him. Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy Live from Los Angeles premieres on Netflix October 18. Season three of 90 Day: The Single Life premieres on TLC September 12. Comedy special Rodrigo Marques: King of Uncouth premieres on netflix September 6. Brazilian comic Rodrigo Marques discusses a particularly crazy trip to a famous archipelago, his life traumas and more in this stand-up special.

25th anniversary special Cinderella: The Reunion, A Special Edition of 20/20 airs on ABC August 23 as part of Disney’s World Princess Week. Original cast members Brandy, Whoopi Goldberg, Paolo Montalban, Victor Garber, Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander and Veanne Cox plus Billy Porter, Todrick Hall, Jade Jones and more reflect on the impact of the film. Following the special, The Wonderful World of Disney will air Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella for the first time on broadcast television in more than two decades.
