Netflix’s Shadow and Bone returns for season two March 16. Alina Starkov is on the run. A beacon of hope to some and a suspected traitor to others, she’s determined to bring down the Shadow Fold and save Ravka from ruin. But General Kirigan has returned to finish what he started. Backed by a terrifying new army of seemingly indestructible shadow monsters and fearsome new Grisha recruits, Kirigan is more dangerous than ever. To stand a fighting chance against him, Alina and Mal rally their own powerful new allies and begin a continent-spanning journey to find two mythical creatures that will amplify her powers. Back in Ketterdam, the Crows must forge new alliances as they contend with old rivals and even older grudges that threaten not only their place in the Barrel, but their very lives. When a chance at a deadly heist comes their way, the Crows will once again find themselves on a collision course with the legendary Sun Summoner. 

Animated series Koala Man premieres on hulu January 9. The series follows middle-aged dad Kevin and his titular not-so-secret identity, whose only superpower is a burning passion for following rules and snuffing out petty crime in the town of Dapto. Though it may seem like any other Australian suburb, forces of evil both cosmic and man-made lie in wait to pounce on unsuspecting Daptonians. On a quest to clean up his hometown, and often roping his frustrated family into his adventures, Koala Man stands at the ready. He’ll do whatever it takes to defeat villainous masterminds, supernatural horrors, or worse: jerks who don’t take their rubbish bins down on the proper days. 

A new season of Are You the One? premieres on Paramount+ January 18. Relationship expert and TV host Kamie Crawford will host the first-of-its-kind global edition that will take contestants to Gran Canaria, Spain. In the most ambitious dating experiment ever attempted, 22 recently single men and women from around the globe were put through an extensive matchmaking process to find their “perfect match.” Hailing from around the world and living together under one roof at an international location, these singles will have a shared goal: to find “the one.” Each week, the singles will have an opportunity to find their match, and if they can identify all 11 perfect matches at the same time, they’ll split a massive cash prize. 

Fox has canceled country music drama series Monarch after one season. The series starring Anna Friel, Trace Adkins, Joshua Sasse and Beth Ditto and Susan Sarandon was supposed to air last season, but was held for the fall season. 

The CW has ordered a new docuseries titled 100 Days to Indy. The six episode series is about the road to the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race, the world’s premier motorsports competition. It will take fans behind the scenes to chronicle the bold and brash personalities of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES as they begin the 2023 season and start their epic quest for racing’s greatest prize. It will premiere in Spring 2023. 

Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches premieres on AMC+ and AMC January 8. Based on Rice’s best-selling trilogy, “Lives of the Mayfair Witches,” the 8 episode series focuses on an intuitive young neurosurgeon, Rowan, who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations. 

The second and final season of Hunters premieres on Prime Video January 13. After an accident derails their exploits in Europe, the Hunters must band back together to hunt down history’s most infamous Nazi, Adolf Hitler, who’s hiding in South America. Meanwhile, a look to the past reveals Meyer Offerman encountering a dangerous threat that could unravel his secret and expose his true identity, with explosive reverberations for our Hunters. 

Steve Martin and Martin Short will host Saturday Night Live on NBC December 10. Brandi Carlile will serve as musical guest. 

YOLO: Silver Destiny premieres January 22 on adult swim. The series sees the return of Australia’s favorite party girls, Sarah and Rachel, who are still looking for fun times, new experiences, positive vibes, and hot guys in the bizarre town of Wollongong. The season begins when a chance encounter at a Sausage Sizzle sets the girls off in pursuit of their destinies – Sarah wants to grow a beautiful garden, and Rachel wants to become a dark Empress. Meanwhile, Lucas the Magnificent embarks on a mysterious new quest to overcome Sarah’s repulsion and win her heart. 

Paul T. Goldman premieres on Peacock January 1. The series is a mind-bending series from the director of Borat Subsequent Moviefilm and the producers of The Disaster Artist. It’s a project that director Jason Woliner has been shooting for over a decade and a story that continues to pile on jaw-dropping new twists. In the style of Woliner’s work on Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, the series is a groundbreaking project that mixes fact and fiction to tell a bizarre and incredible tale. 

Hello Tomorrow! premieres on Apple TV+ February 17 with the first three episodes. Episodes will premiere weekly through April 7. Set in a retro-future world, the ten episode series centers around a group of traveling salesmen hawking lunar timeshares. Crudup stars as Jack, a salesman of great talent and ambition, whose unshakeable faith in a brighter tomorrow inspires his coworkers, revitalizes his desperate customers, but threatens to leave him dangerously lost in the very dream that sustains him. 

Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy are developing a TV adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower. The two envision the project as a five seasons and two films project. The two recently signed a pact with Prime Video after leaving Netflix. 

Apple TV+ has ordered drama series Firebug. Inspired by true events, the series will follow a troubled detective and an enigmatic arson investigator, played by Taron Egerton, as they pursue the trails of two serial arsonists. 

Hulu’s limited series Under The Bridge has cast Archie Panjabi in a leading role. Also cast are Vritika Gupta, Javon Walton and Aiyana Goodfellow. The series is based on the book by Rebecca Godfrey. 

The 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards will take place March 4. The ceremony will be hosted by renowned voice actress Sally Amaki and popular entertainer Jon Kabira. Anime Awards nominees will be announced early next year and fans are encouraged to vote across all categories. The voting period will take place from January 19–25. 

Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel are set to host HGTV’s White House Christmas 2022 on December 11. First Lady Jill Biden will lead the hosts throughout the magnificent rooms of the historic home decorated by more than 150 volunteers from across the country and White House Residence staff. This year’s theme, We the People, will capture the spirit of America’s shared values and the belief in possibility, optimism and unity – a reminder that we are stronger in community than we are apart. The theme will be brought to life by an astounding array of decorations, including over 83,615 holiday lights, 77 Christmas trees, 300 candles, 12,000 ornaments, 1,600 bells, approximately 14,865 feet of ribbon, and many décor elements that can be recreated right at home. 

Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to star in Apple TV+’s limited series Presumed Innocent. The series tells the story of a horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorneys’ office when one of its own is suspected of the crime. It explores obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together. This would be Gyllenhaal’s first major role on TV. 

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2023 returns to Puerto Rico for a Spanish language countdown to welcome the New Year with Puerto Rican actress and singer Roselyn Sanchez as co-host. Puerto Rican singer and rapper Farruko will also be in attendance to give a spectacular performance. Last year, the Island was the inaugural destination for the show’s first-ever Spanish language countdown. Puerto Rico’s countdown will be the first and occur at 11:00 p.m. EST/12:00 a.m. AST. 

Comedy special Nate Bargatze: Hello World premieres on Prime Video January 31. Recorded on a 360° stage at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, AZ the special explores topics including growing up in the ’80s and ’90s, the hardest part of marriage, and saying dumb things. 

Avatar will make its broadcast television debut December 11 on ABC. In celebration of Disney’s highly anticipated return to Pandora, Avatar: The Way of Water, The Walt Disney Company will offer viewers several opportunities to experience its innovative predecessor, Avatar, throughout the month of December across its unparalleled distribution platforms including ABC, FX and Freeform. It will air on FX December 15 and December 18. It will air on Freeform December 26.

Growing Up Hip Hop returns for season seven January 5 on WE tv. The 50th anniversary of hip hop brings Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Treach, and Kurupt onto one stage. A new baby is coming, but not everyone thinks it’s good news. Meanwhile, a long-held secret romance is exposed, and Romeo Miller makes a dramatic return to the scene which reignites old rivalries. 

Season two of Love & Marriage: D.C. premieres on OWN January 21 on the heels of a three-part reunion of the current season of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, hosted by executive producer Carlos King. The new season will introduce a new power couple to the group, Joi Carter and Clifton Pettie, who became instantly smitten on the Potomac iteration of OWN’s Ready to Love series in 2021, and were engaged earlier this year. The series will also continue to follow Erana and Jamie Tyler, and Ashley Silva and her husband on-air personality DJ Quicksilva. Viewers can also stay tuned for more of the group’s friend, Winter Williams, who came into the circle like a blizzard last season. 

The Glory premieres on Netflix December 30. Years after surviving horrific abuse in high school, a woman puts an elaborate revenge scheme in motion to make the perpetrators pay for their crimes.

Carpool Karaoke: The Series returns for a new season on Apple TV+ December 9. This season, the stars – sharing a car, singing along to their personal playlists and embarking on new adventures – include Kevin Bacon, Michael Bacon, Ciara, Chelsea Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Duran Duran, Nikki Glaser, Method Man, Sandra Oh, Chris Redd, Amber Ruffin, Wilco, Russell Wilson, the cast of For All Mankind and more. 

Madoff: The Monster of Wall Street premieres on Netflix January 4. With an innovative visual approach, the four episode edge of your seat financial thriller reveals the truth behind Bernie Madoff’s infamous multibillion-dollar global Ponzi scheme and the ways in which a willfully blind financial system allowed it to flourish for decades. 

Sherri Papini: Lies, Lies and More Lies premieres on Oxygen December 17. The special showcases just-released investigative footage, including previously unseen interviews with Papini, as well as interviews with investigators, journalists and community members who were all at some point taken in by Papini’s untruths. In 2016, Sherri Papini – wife and mother of two small children – went missing while on a jog near her home. Her entire community mobilized to find her as everyone feared the worst. After 22 days, Papini reappeared, battered and bruised, relaying a horrifying tale of being kidnapped with the intention of being sold into sex slavery. As investigators worked the case, they found the evidence pointed not to two women Papini claimed abducted her, but back to Papini herself. The special takes viewers on an up-close-and-personal journey through her scam before she was publicly revealed to be a master manipulator who held everyone hostage with her lies. 

ID’s new limited series The Price of Glee premieres January 16. The three episode series unpacks the cast members’ lives on and off set through never-before-seen interviews showcasing the demands of being on a hit TV series and dark behind-the-scenes drama. With unbiased filters, hear directly from those outside of the cast bubble who can provide no-strings-attached perspectives, such as: relatives and friends of Glee cast members; those who were on the set and close to it such as set decorators, hairdressers, stylists and publicists; and entertainment reporters who covered the phenomenon. Interviews from those close to the late Cory Monteith shed light on the actor’s journey to international acclaim and the demons that haunted him, which led to his overdose at just 31 in a hotel room in British Columbia. Those who worked on set and alongside Mark Salling provide commentary into their working relationship and shock of the dark and disturbing discovery of child pornography in Salling’s possession that led to his death by suicide at 35. George Rivera, father to Naya Rivera who he lost in a chilling and mysterious death by accidental drowning in a lake, gives a personal and intimate tribute to his daughter by taking a look back into Naya’s life as a young actress and how her career took off, showcasing her journey from child actor to cheerleader. 

Just Love and a Thousand Songs is now streaming on Disney+. Marking the 10th anniversary of the release of Latin American Disney Channel series Violetta, the musical special reunites Tini with co-stars Jorge Blanco, Cande Molfese and Mechi Lambre, to perform some of the series’ most beloved songs.
