Season two of Joe Pickett premieres on Paramount+ June 4. In season two, Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett discovers a hunter murdered in the mountains and realizes his is just one of a series of gruesome murders. To solve the case and catch the killer, Joe must navigate a radical anti-hunting activist, a ghoulish set of twins living off the grid and his own tortured past. Joe and his wife, Marybeth, discover that the murdered men weren’t as innocent as they seemed. But when they dig too deep, they are forced to go on the run and fight for their very lives. 

Adult animated comedy series Mulligan premieres May 12 on Netflix. After Earth is destroyed by an alien attack, a rag-tag band of survivors has to start society over from scratch. It’s an opportunity to learn from humanity’s past mistakes and get things right this time. Or make the same mistakes all over again. Probably the second one. The series stars Nat Faxon, Chrissy Teigen, Tina Fey, Sam Richardson, Dana Carvey and Phil LaMarr. 

MTV’s new “Tuesday Night Takeover” will see new seasons of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Couples Retreat and Caught in the Act: Unfaithful. The three series previously aired on VH1. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta “Run It Back” premieres May 2 at 7 followed by Couples Retreat premiering at 9.  Season 11 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and season two of Caught in the Act: Unfaithful will premiere this summer. 

Docuseries The Family Stallone premieres on Paramount+ May 17. After playing some of the most legendary characters in cinematic history, three-time Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone is ready to give cameras access to what he would consider the greatest role of his lifetime: Dad. This new series starring Stallone’s three daughters, wife and himself offers a seat at the table of one of Hollywood’s most famous families. 

Season two of The Afterparty is now set to premiere on Apple TV+ July 12 with two episodes. Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao reprise their roles for season two alongside new stars John Cho, Paul Walter Hauser, Ken Jeong, Anna Konkle, Poppy Liu, Elizabeth Perkins, Jack Whitehall, Zach Woods and Vivian Wu. In the ten episode season, a wedding is ruined when the groom is murdered and every guest is a suspect. Detective Danner returns to help Aniq and Zoë solve whodunnit by questioning family members, star-crossed lovers and business partners, and hearing each suspect’s retelling of the weekend, each with their own unique perspective and visual style. 

CBS’ new unscripted series Superfan is set to premiere June 9 at 8. The series features six music superstars, Kelsea Ballerini, Gloria Estefan, Little Big Town, LL Cool J, Pitbull and Shania Twain, as they each crown their biggest fan. The musical game show will feature contestants vying in multiple rounds of play to prove they are their favorite artist’s most devoted supporter. In each one-hour episode, a different musical artist will select one deserving superfan to win a once-in-a-lifetime prize.

Special IMAX live screenings of the epic series finale of Star Trek: Picard are set for April 19, one day before the finale is available to stream on Paramount+. The screenings will be free to attend and fans can sign up and register at http://startrekpicardfinalescreenings.com on Wednesday, April 12 at 10:00 AM, PT/1:00 PM, ET. There will be an exclusive final season poster giveaway and complimentary concessions for fans in attendance. The special IMAX Live fan screenings will take place at 10 participating IMAX theaters in Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Orlando, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Dallas. Fans in attendance will also be treated to an exclusive live Q&A immediately following the screening with series stars Patrick Stewart, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Terry Matalas. The Q&A will be broadcast live from an in-person panel occurring at the Los Angeles screening. 

Julie Bowen is set to star in Peacock’s coming-of-age thriller Hysteria! The drama series explores American’s dark history of mass hysteria through the shocking story of the teenage Satanic Panic, in the role of Linda Campbell. When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them. 

Hannah Gadsby’s third comedy special Hannah Gadsby: Something Special premieres on Netflix May 9. In this smart and feel good set, the comedian talks about a wedding (theirs!), more than one traumatic encounter with a bunny and much more. The special was filmed at the Sydney Opera House in Fall, 2022. 

Production on season two of HBO’s House of the Dragon has begun. Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen. The series stars Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham. 

A new season of Celebrity IOU premieres on HGTV May 15. The new season will feature boldfaced names who gamely try their hand at renovation alongside Drew and Jonathan Scott. The celebrities will recount their deep thanks for deserving friends and mentors before jumping in with sledgehammers, power tools and pure muscle to demo and design. When the work is done, the celebrities’ passionate efforts will culminate with emotional reveals and stunning home makeovers that change lives forever. The new season features Kristin Chenoweth, Glenn Close, Kristin Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Derek Hough, Heidi Klum, Jay Leno, and Emma Roberts. 

MGM+ has ordered docuserIes Hollywood Black. Based on the book by historian Donald Bogle, this four episode docuseries tells the epic story of the actors, writers, directors, and producers who fought for their place on the page, behind the camera, on the screen, and in the credits. It is a definitive chronicle of a century of the Black experience in Hollywood, and a powerful reexamination of a quintessentially American story – in brilliant color. 

Extra has been renewed for a 30th season. The new upcoming season will see the series cross the 9,000th episode. Billy Bush, Melvin Robert, Rachel Lindsay, Jennifer Lahmers, Terri Seymour, Carlos Greer, Charissa Thompson, Alecia Davis, Adam Glassman and Michael Corbett each contribute. 

Kelli Giddish is returning to Law & Order: SVU for the season finale. Her character Amanda Rollins will also appear on the second to last episode of the season of Law & Order: Organized Crime. Giddish exited SVU earlier this season. 

Hugo Weaving, Joanna Scanlan, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke and James Callis have been cast in season four of Apple TV+’s Slow Horses. They join the spy series starring Gary Oldman. 

Bella Ramsey has been cast in season two of the BBC’s Time. Ramsey joins Jodie Whittaker, Tamara Lawrance and Siobhan Finneran in the prison drama. 

Jaime Camil has been cast in Apple TV+’s Acapulco. Camil will appear as a guest star in the upcoming ten episode third season. 

The long-awaited return of Adult Swim’s favorite heavy metal adventure Metalocalypse arrives with a nationwide tour of the series’ on-screen band DETHKLOK. A full-length original film, written and directed by Brendon Small, Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar, a companion soundtrack and “Dethalbum IV” will also arrive this year. NBC Sports have announced commentators for the 2023 USFL season. Jac Collinsworth and Paul Burmeister return to handle USFL play-by-play duties for a second season. USFL analysts include former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, former NFL fullback and NFL Network analyst Michael Robinson and New Orleans Saints defensive end and seven-time Pro Bowler Cameron Jordan, who all return from last year’s inaugural season. Arizona Cardinals quarterback Colt McCoy, two-time Pro Bowl tight end Kyle Rudolph, and former NFL defensive lineman Anthony Herron will also serve as analysts throughout the year. Sideline reporters for the 2023 USFL season are Zora Stephenson, Corey Robinson, Lewis Johnson, and Caroline Pineda. NBC Sports’ season opener is this Sunday, April 16, at noon ET on NBC and Peacock as the Michigan Panthers face the Houston Gamblers at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, Tenn.
