Apple TV+ has renewed Palm Royale for a second season. Set in high society Palm Beach in the powder keg year of 1969, the series is a true underdog story that follows Maxine Simmons as she endeavors to break into Palm Beach high society. As Maxine attempts to cross that impermeable line between the haves and the have-nots, it asks the same question that still baffles us today: “How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to get what someone else has?” It is a testament to every outsider fighting for their chance to truly belong. 

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol premieres September 29 on AMC. The new six episode season picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, following fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier. They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest. Additionally, Genet’s movement builds momentum, setting Pouvoir on a violent collision course with the Union of Hope in the fight for France’s future. 

BET+ has renewed Average Joe for a second season. Inspired by the life of creator Robb Cullen, the series is a darkly comedic, intense one-hour drama set in “The Hill” district of Pittsburgh. Blue-collar plumber, Joe Washington, discovers his recently deceased father lived a secret second life and stole millions of dollars from dangerous people just before he died. Now those people think Joe knows where the money is. A bloody and violent confrontation triggers a chain of events that force Joe and his close-knit circle of family and friends out of their very average and mundane lives into a life-or-death race against time to find the truth and the millions. 

Prime Video has ordered Countdown to series. The thirteen episode season stars Jensen Ackles. The series starts following a suspicious murder in broad daylight, which leads to LAPD officer Mark Meachum being recruited to join a secret task force of undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement to investigate. But as the truth of a more sinister plot comes into focus, the team must overcome their conflicting personal agendas to unite and save a city of millions. 

Season three of Bel-Air premieres August 15 on Peacock. Set in modern-day America, the series imagines the beloved sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a new, dramatic take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. As these two worlds collide, Will reckons with the power of second chances while navigating the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known. 

Psi Cops will premiere July 7 on adult swim. The series follows Kydd and Felixx who join a rag-tag group of experts at the secret agency Psi Cops to investigate alleged sightings of aliens, ghosts, demons, and other hocus-pocus nonsense. 

High Potential premieres this fall on ABC. The series follows a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective. 

Impractical Jokers moves to its new home on TBS with season eleven premiering July 11. This season, the Jokers’ side-splitting antics are taken to staggering new heights, from a pizza shop mishap with Brooke Shields and an unforgettable dance party hosted by ‘NSYNC’s Joey Fatone to an NCAA March Madness takeover that goes wrong. The new episodes will also feature celebrity guest appearances from comedians Roy Wood Jr., Richard Kind, Jo DeRosa, AEW’s John Silver, and more. 

Prepare for a whirlpool of emotions as The Real Housewives of Orange County returns for its eighteenth season, kicking off with a supersized premiere July 11 on Bravo. This season marks a historic milestone as “The Real Housewives” franchise celebrates 100 seasons over 18 years and 11 cities. Returning this season are Shannon Storms Beador, Heather Dubrow, Tamra Judge, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson and Jennifer Pedranti. New to the season is housewife and former golf reporter Katie Ginella, a friend of Gina who instantly wedges herself into the group along with her opinions. Born in South Korea and adopted into a Catholic family in Georgia, Katie is a busy mom of four with children ages 6 to 19. Familiar face Alexis Bellino (seasons 5-8) rejoins the franchise as a friend, bringing her fiery personality and a heightened level of drama as she revels in her controversial new relationship with Shannon’s ex-boyfriend, John Janssen, who she fondly refers to as Johnny J. 

HGTV has ordered Izzy Does It starring Flip or Flop contractor Izzy Battres. The renovation/occu-series will follow Izzy and his family across eight hour-long episodes as they grow their home renovation and design business and navigate working together in his hometown of Santa Ana, California. Together they will deliver dazzling renovation results to clients with realistic budgets. The series will premiere in 2025. 

Docuseries Omnivore will premiere on Apple TV+ July 19. Each episode celebrates the cultivation, transformation and consumption of eight of the world’s most essential ingredients, including bananas, chilies, coffee, corn, pork, rice, salt and tuna, revealing how they serve as the cornerstones of global cultural heritage. Narrator René Redzepi guides audiences on a globe-spanning odyssey, unveiling intricate stories behind the ingredients that have shaped societies, cultures, beliefs and the course of human history. The series takes viewers to destinations around the world, including Denmark, Serbia, Thailand, Spain, Japan, Djibouti, Peru, South Korea, France, Colombia, India, Bali, Rwanda and Mexico, as well as locations throughout the United States. In each episode, Redzepi and various series contributors offer an intimate exploration of culinary traditions, showcasing local efforts to honor, conserve and protect Earth’s offerings. 

Docuseries Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE is coming this summer to Netflix. The music series follows global girl group KATSEYE. The year-long process of creating a one-of-a-kind girl group will be the subject of the series. With unprecedented access, the series will be a compelling portrayal of the journey to global stardom, including insight into the unique training and development program from HYBE and Geffen Records. 

Acorn TV has renewed Darby and Joan for a second season. Season two, which will film mid-year in Australia, finds Jack and Joan on the hunt for the one person Jack believes can reveal the truth about his mysterious past. Jack and Joan soon realize they aren’t alone on this journey and their quest becomes a race against time. But can they really find the truth after all these years? Or will their search for answers only unearth more questions? 

Season three of The Mallorca Files premieres August 8 on Prime Video with all episodes. Set on the sun-drenched and glamorous Spanish island of Mallorca, The Mallorca Files centers around ambitious British detective Miranda Blake and her laid-back German partner Max Winter, who make up the perfect team – if only they could see it. In Season Three, amid high-stakes adventures, treasure hunts, arson, kidnappings, and murders, Max and Miranda’s personal tensions and odd-couple partnership are put to the test. Overseeing their cases is the mercurial and volatile Inés Villegas.

NBCUniversal is teaming up with Sesame Street to bring Elmo and his friends to Paris as part of its comprehensive coverage of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 this summer.Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and Tango will be featured in activations across Sesame Street’s social media platforms leading into and during the Games, including the U.S. Olympic Team Trials and the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The pre-Games activations will feature beloved Sesame Street muppets in bespoke illustrations detailing their hot air balloon journey from Sesame Street across the Atlantic Ocean to Paris. Following their arrival in Paris, NBCU will incorporate the Sesame team into its comprehensive social and broadcast coverage surrounding the Games. 

Comedy special Sam Morril: You’ve Changed premieres July 9 on Prime Video. Morril, in his distinct laid-back style, effortlessly riffs on the worst person he’s ever dated, the complications of getting older, and his perspective on everything from cable news to the perils of social media in this punchline-heavy comedy special. The special was taped at the Historic Wilbur Theatre in Boston, MA which Morril sold out nine times last year. 

Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini premieres June 20 on hulu with all episodes. Keith and Sherri Papini’s seemingly idyllic family life is shattered when Sherri vanishes from their northern California neighborhood, triggering a frenzied search that becomes news around the world. With unprecedented access to Sherri’s family and friends – as well as the investigators who struggled for six years to solve the mystery of her disappearance – this limited documentary series intimately explores the jaw-dropping revelations of a relationship that wasn’t what it seemed. 

Prime Video has ordered an untitled project with Box To Box Films and NHL Productions that will give unprecedented access to life in the National Hockey League. The action-packed docuseries will focus on the NHL’s biggest teams and most compelling characters, all at different stages of their careers, as they embark throughout the season on the ultimate pursuit of glory – winning the coveted Stanley Cup. It will feature in-depth interviews with key players, their rivals and those in their closest inner circle – teammates, coaches, and family. The series will also reveal what life on-and-off the ice is really like for the league’s top players. From the quiet reflective moments to the speed and intensity of being on hockey’s biggest stage – revealing the talent, grit, and sacrifice it takes to make it in the NHL. Superstar players followed in the series include Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid; Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk; New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba; Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl; Boston Bruins teammates David Pastrnak and Jeremy Swayman; Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes; Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel; Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander; Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg; and Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog, among others. 

The 77th Annual Tony Awards will feature showstopping performances from the casts of Tony nominated best musicals and revivals. Hosted by Ariana DeBose, the ceremony will air live from the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City on June 16. 

“Next on Netflix: Animation” previews new and returning preschool, family, adult, anime series and films coming up in 2024 and beyond. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie Part 1 and Part 2 premiere August 22. The eighth and final season of Big Mouth will premiere in 2025. Season two of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory will premiere this fall. 

SHARKFEST kicks off June 30 on National Geographic. Summer’s iconic four-weeklong event will debut 26 hours of shark-infested original and enhanced programming across Nat Geo, Nat Geo WILD, Nat Geo Mundo and ESPN2. All SHARKFEST shows will stream July 1 on Disney+ and Hulu.
