The Librarians: The Next Chapter, the spinoff of the television and film franchise which followed the adventures of the custodians of a magical repository of the world’s most powerful and dangerous supernatural artifacts, will premiere on TNT with a two-night premiere event starting on May 25 following NBA Playoffs coverage. The next episode premieres on May 26 following NHL Playoffs coverage and subsequent episodes will continue to air on Monday nights. The series centers on Vikram Chamberlain, a “Librarian” from the past who time traveled from 1847 and now finds himself stuck in the present. When Vikram returns to his castle in Belgrade, Serbia and discovers that it is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. With the help of a new team of eclectic heroes, including a savant in world history, a scientific genius, and a highly skilled Guardian, Vikram has only six months to clean up the mess he made. Throughout the season, the team will embark on fantastical adventures, including a surprise reroute to a manor where Agatha Christie-styled murders take place, a time-travel back to the days of King Arthur at Camelot and even an encounter with the first-ever vampire. 

Season eighteen of Criminal Minds: Evolution premieres May 8 on Paramount+. Six months after prisoners attack the notorious Sicarius Killer, Elias Voit, his restless followers on the dark web begin wreaking havoc all over the country. 

Forever premieres on Netflix May 8. The series is a modern reimagining of Judy Blume’s groundbreaking 1975 novel. It’s an epic love story of two Black teens exploring romance and their identities through the awkward journey of being each other’s firsts, set in Los Angeles, 2018. 

Season three of SkyMed premieres May 15 on Paramount+. The series follows the triumphs and tribulations of young medics and pilots who fly air ambulances across the remote skies of Northern Canada. Weaving together intense journeys with jaw-dropping medical rescues 20,000 feet in the air in the most remote conditions, the new season throws the diverse group of medical responders into all-new challenges on the job and in their personal lives. Picking up in the aftermath of the dramatic season two finale, the tight-knit SKYMED team is faced with a shocking medical emergency for one of its members and must rely on each other more than ever as they experience heart-pulsing rescues, new love and hard goodbyes. 

The new season of Conan O’Brien Must Go premieres May 9 on Max. In the three episode second season, Conan visits New Zealand, Austria, and Spain. 

Netflix has renewed Devil May Cry for a second season. In this animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game and from the vision of Adi Shankar, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.

Prime Video has ordered a Carrie series based on the book by Stephen King. The eight episode series comes from Mike Flanagan. 

Season four of Welcome to Wrexham premieres May 15 on FX. In 2020, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds teamed up to purchase the 5th tier Red Dragons in the hopes of turning the Club into an underdog story the whole world could root for. Emma Corrin, Jack Lowden and Olivia Colman will star in a new Pride and Prejudice adaptation. The six episode Netflix limited series is written by Dolly Alderton.

Prime Video has ordered a new documentary series which will follow Birmingham City Football Club’s promotion in a defining season. The untitled documentary series will premiere Summer 2025. Embedded camera crews have followed the First-Team players, coaching staff and key ownership figures from pre-season to promotion, including Birmingham City’s Chairman Tom Wagner, Co-Founder and Co-Managing Member of Knighthead Capital Management, LLC (“Knighthead”), and American football legend, Tom Brady, as the club fights to instil a winning culture and climb the English football pyramid. Beyond the day-to-day football operations, the documentary will also explore the unique cultural heritage of Birmingham City and a supporter base who have remained loyal despite a sustained period without success or silverware. The documentary will shine a spotlight on this community’s resurgence, illustrating how the football club plans to drive its transformation. 

Docuseries Carlos Alcaraz: My Way premieres April 23 on Netflix. The series follows Carlos Alcaraz as he balances the pressures of a phenomenal tennis career with a 20-year-old’s desire to let loose.

Fox has ordered a new unscripted series, Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service, set to premiere May 21. Restaurateurs who are looking for a quick fix or social media glow-up are in for the surprise of their lives when famed culinary titan Gordon Ramsay trades his signature chef knives for a state-of-the-art surveillance vehicle and cutting-edge spyware. In a Gordon Ramsay series first, Chef Ramsay will venture into struggling restaurants under the cover of night. With the help of a secret source on the inside, he’ll gather raw, unfiltered evidence and get a 360-degree view of the major issues facing each restaurant. This insider will not only remain a secret to the staff, but will also help Ramsay infiltrate the restaurant after-hours for a dramatic nighttime black light kitchen investigation that reveals more filth and grossness than ever before. By the time Ramsay reveals his identity, it will be too late for staff to cover up their culinary crimes. Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service will be his toughest assignment yet as he takes drastic measures to transform not only the restaurant but also the staff, because Gordon knows he can upgrade the menu and renovate the restaurant, but the most important change has to come from the people. Are the restaurant and staff willing to accept Gordon’s mission, or are they too far gone to be saved? 

Pop the Balloon Live premieres April 10 on Netflix. Reality stars and everyday singles test their romantic chemistry in this live dating experiment hosted by Yvonne Orji. Episodes air live every Thursday at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.

Limited series Istanbul Encyclopedia premieres April 17 on Netflix. A young student moves in with an estranged family friend in Istanbul, trading her humble hometown for a city that tests her identity – and convictions.

The Judd Family: Truth Be Told premieres May 10 on Lifetime. Profiling one of the greatest country music families of our time, the four part doc examines Naomi Judd’s complicated bond with her daughters, Wynonna and Ashley, that both tied them together and drove them apart. It explores the complex mother-daughter dynamics and intergenerational trauma as seen through the eyes of The Judd Family. In addition to exclusive interviews with Ashley, Wynonna, close family members and those who knew Naomi best, the documentary features never-before-seen photos, home videos, unreleased songs, and audio. 

Southern Fried Lies premieres April 27 on Oxygen. Donna Herring, Camden’s unofficial mayor and proud pageant mom to daughter Alex, believes the only man worthy of Alex’s affection is the local hero, Matt Jacobs. Matt won a big settlement as a survivor of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Rig explosion, making him one of the wealthiest and thus most eligible bachelors in town. However, after Matt’s unfathomable death, his last will and testament leaves the majority of his estate to Alex and very little to his only child, his teenage son, Jordan. After it’s discovered that Donna forged Matt’s will, law enforcement begins to investigate. As they move beyond the white-collar crime, they uncover a secret mistress and other inexplicable deaths and question if something potentially more nefarious could be at play.

Toxic premieres May 5 on ID. The six-part series follows Elizabeth Chambers as she draws from her experience and background as an investigative journalist to delve into the dark and twisted side of relationships. Through conversations with survivors from across the country, Chambers brings viewers into the raw and real stories of those affected by destructive relationship dynamics, showcasing the lasting trauma and tragedy that can result from unhealthy relationships.

Walking with Dinosaurs premieres June 16 on PBS.
