Season three of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds premieres July 17 on Paramount+. In season three, when we reconnect with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, still under the command of Captain Pike, they face the conclusion of season two’s harrowing encounter with the Gorn. But new life and civilizations await, including a villain that will test our characters’ grit and resolve. An exciting twist on classic Star Trek, season three takes characters both new and beloved to new heights, and dives into thrilling adventures of faith, duty, romance, comedy and mystery, with varying genres never before seen on any other Star Trek

Season two of Twisted Metal premieres July 31 on Peacock. Following the revelations in the season one finale, John and Quiet find themselves entering the deadly TWISTED METAL tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso. As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface. 

Ironheart premieres June 24 on Disney+ with the first three episodes. The series stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a genius inventor who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. 

Love Island: Beyond the Villa premieres July 13 on Peacock, with new episodes streaming every Thursday at 6pm PT/9pm ET beginning July 17. The first-of-its-kind spinoff from the pop culture phenomenon, the series follows everyone’s favorite Season 6 Islanders around Los Angeles as they navigate new careers, evolving friendships, newfound fame, and complex relationships outside of the Love Island villa. The cast includes JaNa Craig, Aaron Evans, Miguel Harichi, Leah Kateb, Kaylor Martin, Connor Newsum, Serena Page, Kenny Rodriguez, Olivia Walker, and Kendall Washington, with appearances from other former Islanders. 

HBO has announced additional cast for the upcoming Harry Potter series. Katherine Parkinson will play Molly Weasley. Lox Pratt will play Draco Malfoy and Johnny Flynn will play Lucius Malfoy. Leo Earley will play Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni will play Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah will play Lavender Brown. Bel Powley will play Petunia Dursley and Daniel Rigby will play Vernon Dursley. Bertie Carvel will play Cornelius Fudge.

Prime Video has renewed Maxton Hall – The World Between Us for a third season. The renewal comes ahead of the second season premiere November 7. Those who fly high can also fall low… After their passionate night together in Oxford and her greatest life goal within reach, everything seems to be going perfectly for Ruby. But a stroke of fate in James’ family changes everything and James himself, of all people, brings her back from cloud nine to a harsh reality. Ruby is devastated. She has never had such strong feelings for anyone as she does for James – and never before has anyone hurt her so deeply. She wants her old life back, where no one at Maxton Hall knew her yet and she wasn’t part of the elitist world of her classmates. But she can’t forget James – especially since he’s doing everything, he can to win her back. 

Paramount+ has ordered My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story. The documentary tells the of Eva LaRue’s real life stalker nightmare. It will premiere later this year. 

Chloë Sevigny has joined as a series regular in Peacock’s upcoming drama series The Five-Star Weekend. She joins Jennifer Garner and Regina Hall. Hollis Shaw , a famed food influencer known for her delicious recipes, impeccable taste and warm demeanor suffers a devastating loss. Unable to move forward, the death starts to expose the cracks in Hollis’s picture-perfect life – her strained marriage, her complicated relationship with her daughter and her growing pursuit of validation from her followers. In an effort to overcome grief and find herself again, Hollis gets the idea to host a weekend away at her house on Nantucket with three friends from different stages in her life: her childhood, her 20’s, 30’s and one surprise fifth star. Set against a luxurious and coastal backdrop, they will mature in ways they could never imagine as boundaries are pushed and secrets are exposed.  

Christian Ochoa Lavernia, Clayne Crawford, Keanush Tafreshi, Medalion Rahimi, Raza Jaffrey and Tessa Ferrer have been cast in the upcoming second season of The Agency: Central Intelligence. Christian Ochoa Lavernia is “Grandma,” an undercover agent with Grandpa. Clayne Crawford is “Viking,” wanted by the CIA in connection with a dangerous military group. Keanush Tafreshi is “Hassan Zamani,” the hot-headed son of an Iranian government advisor. Medalion Rahimi is “Darya,” the niece of a powerful Mullah and Hassan Zamani’s girlfriend. Raza Jaffrey is “Craig,” a data analyst on the Iranian Desk, and Tessa Ferrer is “Robyn,” a United States Air Force nurse in Suffolk, England. The series follows Martian, a CIA agent living undercover in his own life. Samia, his lover, is a political prisoner in Sudan, and he will do anything to try to save her, even past the point of treachery. The only way out is deeper in. A knife-edge Martian must walk if he is to save love, life, and his mission. 

Titus Welliver has been cast in MGM+’s The Westies. He joins J.K. Simmons in the period crime drama series. 

Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans to separate the company, in a tax-free transaction, into two publicly traded companies, enabling each to maximize its potential. The Streaming & Studios company will consist of Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, DC Studios, HBO, and HBO Max, as well as their legendary film and television libraries. Global Networks will include premier entertainment, sports and news television brands around the world including CNN, TNT Sports in the U.S., and Discovery, top free-to-air channels across Europe, and digital products such as the profitable Discovery+ streaming service and Bleacher Report (B/R). David Zaslav, President and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, will serve as President and CEO of Streaming & Studios. Gunnar Wiedenfels, CFO of Warner Bros. Discovery, will serve as President and CEO of Global Networks. Both will continue in their present roles at WBD until the separation.

Docuseries Magic City: An American Fantasy premieres August 15 on Starz. The riveting docuseries takes viewers on a wild and unexpected ride detailing the legendary club’s storied history as a cultural hub in Atlanta. Having evolved into the definitive king-maker in the hip-hop community, the club caters to high-profile celebrities such as 2 Chainz, Nelly, Shaquille O’Neal, Quavo, Killer Mike and Big Boi, all of whom share their firsthand Magic City experiences in exclusive interviews. Additionally, the docuseries offers a powerful platform for the lives of the many women who work there and are responsible for building the club’s mystique. Magic City has held a special place in Black culture for nearly 40 years. It was the well-known hangout of notorious drug gang B.M.F. and the site of a widely viewed get-out-the-vote announcement by former Georgia Governor Stacey Abrams in 2020. Many of today’s hip-hop superstars even credit the DJs at Magic City for their success. Although the club continues to serve as a meeting place where the worlds of politics, music and sports coverage, the true story of its rise to fame has long remained a mystery – until now. 

Friday Night Vibes and Dinner and a Movie return this summer on TBS. Friday Night Vibes, hosted by Nina Parker and Kevin “KevOnStage” Fredericks, will shift from a monthly to a weekly release schedule beginning June 27. The series continues to spotlight major films while celebrating diverse voices both on and off screen. The new season kicks off with Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame,” followed by fan-favorites including “San Andreas,” “Equalizer 2,” “Creed III,” and “Fast & Furious 6.” Dinner and a Movie returns with a two-night premiere on June 28 and June 29. Hosted by real-life couple Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen, the iconic series blends film, food, and fun into a weekly Saturday night celebration. The premiere features “Ant-Man and the Wasp” with special guest David Dastmalchian (Kurt), followed by “National Treasure” on Sunday with star Justin Bartha (Riley Poole). Upcoming episodes include “Superman: The Movie (1978)” with guest Skyler Gisondo – who stars in the upcoming 2025 “Superman” – and a nostalgic “American Pie” reunion featuring Alyson Hannigan, Mena Suvari, and surprise guests. 

True crime docuseries The Furry Detectives: Unmasking a Monster premieres July 17 on SundanceTV. The series unpacks the 2018 event known in the Furry community as the “Furry Zoosadist Leaks,” which exposed a horrifying conspiracy of animal abuse lurking beneath the Fandom’s playful exterior. The series follows the pack of dedicated vigilantes who teamed up to bring down the monsters behind the masks. Navigating the line between amateur sleuthing and official police investigation, the Furry Detectives exposed a ring of animal abusers, fought for victims, and defended their community from the evil within.
