The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominations for the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced earlier today.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominees for the 36th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards during the fourth hour of NBC’s “The Today Show.” During the telecast, nine major categories were announced – those regarding the daytime soaps were: Outstanding Lead Actor, Outstanding Lead Actress, Outstanding Supporting Actor, Outstanding Lead Actress and Outstanding Drama Series. TVSource Magazine’s Senior Writer Tara Blake provided live coverage on our official blog during the telecast. A complete list of nominees was made available after the telecast on the official website for the Daytime Emmy Awards. Also announced was the host for the ceremony, actress and musician Vanessa Williams, star of the hit ABC dramedy “Ugly Betty.”
