ABC has picked up Will Trent to series, set to premiere at midseason. Based on the book series by Karin Slaughter, the series follows Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, who was abandoned at birth and endured a harsh coming of age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system. Now, determined to use his unique point of view to make sure no one feels as abandoned as he was, Trent has the highest clearance rate in the GBI. The series stars Ramón Rodríguez, Erika Christensen, Iantha Richardson, Jake McLaughlin and Sonja Sohn. 

Limited series From Scratch premieres on Netflix October 21. Inspired by the memoir, the eight episode series is a cross-cultural love story that follows Amahle “Amy” Wheeler, an American student studying abroad in Italy, as she meets and falls in love with Lino, a Sicilian chef. Their whirlwind romance faces many unforeseen challenges, including their very different cultural backgrounds. But when Lino is faced with unimaginable health challenges and the couple’s future is threatened, the two families come together to create an extended family unlike any they could have imagined, proving that love crosses all borders. 

Kaley Cuoco will star in Peacock’s new dark comedic thriller series Based on a True Story. Inspired by a bizarre true event, the series follows a realtor, a plumber and a former tennis star whose lives unexpectedly collide, exposing America’s obsession with true crime, murder and the slow close toilet seat. Cuoco will play a married woman named Ava Bartlett. All other details are being kept under wraps. Cuoco’s other series The Flight Attendant has not yet been renewed for a third season.

Joe Keery, Lamorne Morris and Richa Moorjani have joined the cast of FX’s fifth season of Fargo. They join the previously announced Juno Temple, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Fargo has traveled through decades, cities and families, and the fifth installment will be no different: Set in 2019, when is a kidnapping not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn’t yours? 

Bravo’s new series Real Girlfriends in Paris premieres September 5. The ten episode series follows six young women – Anya Firestone, Emily Gorelik, Margaux Lignel, Kacey Margo, Adja Toure and Victoria Zito – who are all American expats and experiencing their wildest adventure yet in the most beautiful city in the world! As the women live their best lives and chase their ultimate dreams, they find themselves navigating careers, romantic rendezvous, unavoidable conflicts and discovering who they are meant to be and exactly what they want. 

The seventh and final season of OWN’s Queen Sugar will premiere September 6. Series creator Ava DuVernay will direct the final episode. 

Margaret Cho, Joey Lauren Adams, Joanna Cassidy and Kehlani will guest star in Showtime’s The L Word: Generation Q. Rosie O’Donnell and Laurel Holloman will continue to recur while Jamie Clayton has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming third season which premieres November 18. 

Season seven of Jay Leno’s Garage will premiere September 7 on CNBC. The eight episode season will take a look at the future of cars. This season, Jay brings viewers into the groundbreaking world of electric vehicles and alternative fuel sources, while featuring new technology, exclusive rides, and celebrity car heads including Brie Larson, Post Malone, Gaten Matarazzo, Kelly Clarkson, Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Pitbull, James Marsden, Danica Patrick, Alfonso Ribeiro, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Tig Notaro, Reggie Watts, Tony Hawk, Mike Rowe, Jim Jefferies, Jeff Dunham, Diego Boneta and more. Jay also gets up close and personal with Elon Musk, as he gets unprecedented access to the SpaceX “Starbase” facility in Texas, and an exclusive look at the most advanced rocket engine ever made. 

James McArdle, Emun Elliott, Tamsin Greig and Stephen Moyer star in Paramount+’s Sexy Beast. The series is a prequel to the British film Sexy Beast which premiered in 2000 starring Ray Winstone, Ben Kingsley and Ian McShane. 

Sarah Pidgeon and Tanzyn Crawford have been cast in hulu’s Tiny Beautiful Things. They join Kathryn Hahn and Quentin Plair in the series based on the book by Cheryl Strayed. 

Music’s Greatest Mysteries returns with new episodes on AXS TV August 24. The six episodes look into the death of Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones, the spooky similarities between Ray Parker Jr.’s “Ghostbusters” theme and the Huey Lewis hit “I Want A New Drug”; and whether or not President Trump’s Secret Service investigated Eminem. Other topics include American Idol’s rigging allegations and Pat Benatar’s ultimate rock & roll love story; John Lennon’s connection to the number nine and how Kris Kristofferson’s theft of a helicopter launched his career; Patsy Cline’s prediction of her own death and Quiet Riot’s possible self-sabotage of their biggest hit; the shocking tragedy of Keith Moon’s chauffeur and the answer to “Who Let The Dogs Out?”; the wild story behind Billy Ray Cyrus’ smash single “Achy Breaky Heart” and Led Zeppelin’s connection with the occult; and many more.

HBO Max has improved user experience globally with their new mobile and desktop apps. The replatformed app delivers highly requested new features from HBO Max fans and marks the conclusion of moving all HBO Max apps to a new, more performant tech stack. New features include a shuffle button functionality expansion to mobile devices, SharePlay support for iPhone and iPad users (U.S. only), a dedicated home for downloaded content with improved performance and stability, tablet support for both landscape and portrait orientations, an enhanced screen reader experience with improved navigation elements and functionality, and the ability to split screens with other apps on any behavior-supported mobile device. Also included in the update are a refined design and visual styling to let content shine, updated intuitive navigation, and Chromecast stability improvements . 

Murder House Flip returns for a second season on The Roku Channel August 12. The six episode series is a home renovation show with an unconventional twist: each episode takes on a house where some of the country’s most infamous murders were committed. Design expert Mikel Welch and builder Sarah Listi remove the stains of the past and take these homes from morbid to marvelous. This season will feature Jodi Arias House, Golden State Killer House, Michael Jace House, Alfalfa House, Laura Purviance House, and Pasadena Massacre House. 

Sister Wives returns for a new season September 11 on TLC. For twelve years, dedicated fans have followed the highs and lows between Kody Brown and his four wives – Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn – as they’ve expanded their family and celebrated life’s big moments from birthdays to weddings and babies. This season, Sister Wives takes a dramatic and emotional turn, as Christine leaves Kody and changes the dynamic of this polygamist family forever. Last year, Christine kicked Kody out of her home, which was one of the hardest things she has ever done. But now, formally putting an end to their marriage turns out to be even harder. And when she has to tell her sister wives and her children, nobody takes it well. She is determined to move to Utah to be with her older children but when Kody tries to stop her, Christine calls him out for favoring one wife and her children, over all the others. The stresses multiply as people begin to take sides. 

Season two of Delhi Crime premieres August 26 on Netflix. An ominous gang, a city in panic. Is DCP Vartika and her squad prepared for the chaos to come?

Pulse premieres on BET+ August 18. In the six episode series, an international group of video game creators discover that survival is no longer just a game when they’re trapped in their high-rise office building after a catastrophic event.
