Dan Levy has joined the cast of Netflix’s Sex Education. Levy will play Thomas Molloy, a famous author, and Maeve’s US course tutor at her Ivy League college. Also joining the cast are Thaddea Graham, Marie Reuther, Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, and Imani Yahshua. Returning cast includes Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie, and Samantha Spiro. Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier – their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students – they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level. 

HBO has renewed The Rehearsal for a second season. The series explores the lengths one man will go to reduce the uncertainties of everyday life. With a construction crew, a legion of actors, and seemingly unlimited resources, Nathan Fielder allows ordinary people to prepare for life’s biggest moments by “rehearsing” them in carefully crafted simulations of his own design. When a single misstep could shatter your entire world, why leave life to chance? 

Elijah Wood has joined the cast of Showtime’s Yellowjackets. He will play a season long guest arc. Wood will play Walter, a dedicated Citizen Detective who will challenge Misty in ways she won’t see coming.

Netflix has surprised fans of The Sandman with a bonus two part episode. The series is based on the comic of the same name by Neil Gaiman. The bonus episode features the stories of “A Dream of A Thousand Cats” in animated form and “Calliope” live action. The episode is streaming now.

Season six of SEAL Team will premiere on Paramount+ September 18. The ten episode season follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high stakes missions our country can ask of them. Season five ended on a big cliffhanger, leaving many of the cast’s lives in danger. 

ABC is developing a sequel series to Fox’s Ally McBeal. The potential series would focus on a black woman who joins the law firm from the original series. The project has the approval of creator David E. Kelley, though he will not be a part of the series. 

John Corbett will reprise the role of Aidan on season two of HBO Max’s And Just Like That… His character has romantic history with Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie. 

Steven Pasquale will star in ABC’s Avalon. He joins Neve Campbell in the drama series from David E. Kelley. The series which received a straight to series order last year is based on the short story by Michael Connelly. 

Glynn Turman will recur on Apple TV+’s limited series The Big Cigar. The six episode series stars André Holland, Alessandro Nivola, Tiffany Boone, PJ Byrne, Marc Menchaca, Jordane Christie, Moses Ingram and Olli Haaskivi. 

ABC’s National Parks pilot Criminal Nature will not be moving forward. The pilot starred Michaela McManus and Parker Young. The potential series would have followed the tangled, messy lives of the agents who work for the ISB, an elite law enforcement unit responsible for solving all serious crimes that occur in our country’s 81,000 square miles of protected land.

Netflix has set dates for its upcoming food focused series. Chef’s Table: Pizza premieres September 7. Season seven of Nailed It! premieres October 5. Easy-Bake Battle: The Home Cooking Competition premieres October 12. Season six of Somebody Feed Phil premieres October 18. Drink Masters premieres October 28. Season five of The Great British Baking Show: Holidays premieres November 18. Snack vs. Chef premieres November 30. Cook at All Costs premieres December 16. The Great British Baking Show Collection 10 will premiere Fall 2022. 

Dove Cameron, Saucy Santana and Yung Gravy are set to perform during the 2022 VMAs Pre-Show airing live August 28 on MTV. Nessa and Kevan Kenney will host the 90 minute event. Additionally, Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to receive the prestigious Global Icon Award and perform live at the 2022 VMAs.

Discovery+ has launched a CNN Originals hub on the streamer. Content from the shuttered CNN+ service will have a home there. It will feature CNN films, CNN and HLN series as well as content from CNN’s cable network. 

UEFA Soccer will continue to air on Paramount networks through 2030. Game will continue to air on Paramount+, CBS and CBS Sports Network. 

ESPN has announced that Dan Mullen is joining ESPN’s College Football studio coverage as an analyst, contributing every Saturday on ESPN2 in addition to ESPN studio wraps on Thursday and Friday nights. Additionally Jesse Palmer signed a multi year extension, appearing as the host of ESPN’s Saturday college football studio coverage with Matt Barrie and Joey Galloway. 

Season two of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives premieres on Netflix September 2. The fabulous four are back at it with twice the sass, and twice the glam! 

Once Upon a Small Town premieres on Netflix September 5. Against his wishes a veterinarian from the big city relocates to the countryside, where he meets a policewoman, a town insider with a friendly secret.
