CBS has picked up three new series for the upcoming 2023-2024 season, Matlock, Elsbeth, and Poppa’s House. Matlock is a reboot of the classic series. Elsbeth is a spinoff of The Good Wife and The Good Fight. Poppa’s House comes from Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. The network passed on its fourth pilot, comedy project JumpStart. The three series join previously ordered Tracker for the new season. A schedule for CBS’s new season will be announced tomorrow. 

The CW has renewed Walker for a fourth season. The season will consist of thirteen episodes, down from its current season which consisted of eighteen episodes. The series is a reimagining of the long-running series Walker, Texas Ranger. It stars Jared Padalecki as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin, TX, after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home. In the upcoming third season finale airing May 11, it’s a big day for the Texas Rangers and the Walker clan as friends and family gather to celebrate a very special event. 

Fox has canceled its Fantasy Island remake series after two seasons. The updated series took place at a luxury resort, where literally any fantasy requested by guests is fulfilled, although they rarely turn out as expected. 

The fourth and final season of Jack Ryan will premiere on Prime Video June 30. Two episodes will be available each Friday, leading up to the epic series finale on July 14. In the six episode season, Jack Ryan finds himself on his most dangerous mission yet: facing an enemy both foreign and domestic. As the new CIA Acting Deputy Director, Jack Ryan is tasked with unearthing internal corruption, and in doing so, uncovers a series of suspicious black ops that could expose the vulnerability of the country. As Jack and the team investigate how deep the corruption runs, he discovers a far-worse reality – the convergence of a drug cartel with a terrorist organization – ultimately revealing a conspiracy much closer to home and testing our hero’s belief in the system he has always fought to protect. 

The CW has canceled Walker: Independence after one season. The series was a prequel spinoff of the series Walker. The series followed Abby Walker, an affluent and tough-minded Bostonian whose husband is murdered before her eyes while on their journey out West. After crossing paths with Calian, a curious Apache tracker, Abby arrives in the town of Independence, Texas, where she encounters diverse and eclectic residents running from their pasts, chasing their dreams, and keeping their own secrets

The fourth and final season of Never Have I Ever premieres on Netflix June 8. The series is a coming-of-age comedy about the complicated life of a modern-day first-generation Indian American teenage girl. The series stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Devi, an overachieving high school student who has a short fuse that gets her into difficult situations.

The second season of international drag singing competition series Queen of the Universe premieres June 2 on Paramount+. The series follows the world’s most talented drag queens as they battle it out for global domination, and countries go head-to-head spotlighting their top talent. Each episode will feature the world’s fiercest queens singing live as they debut a new musical performance in front of a studio audience and the Pop Diva Panel of judges in the hopes of being crowned the “Queen of the Universe.” This season, global superstar Mel B joins the returning judges, including Michelle Visage, Vanessa Williams, and Trixie Mattel. 

Minx returns for its second season on its new home, Starz, July 21. Set in 1970s Los Angeles, “Minx” centers around Joyce, an earnest young feminist who joins forces with a low-rent publisher to create the first erotic magazine for women. In season two, Doug and Joyce grapple with Minx’s explosive success, which brings more money, fame and temptation than either of them know how to handle. The first season premiered on HBO Max and was canceled during the production of its second season. Starz stepped in and rescued it. 

Prime Video has renewed The Outlaws for a third season. The series follows a group of strangers from different walks of life forced together to complete a community payback sentence in Bristol. With crime boss The Dean (Claes Bang, Dracula, Bad Sisters) behind bars awaiting trial, The Outlaws are moving on with their lives – until one of their own returns with a deadly secret, hurling them back into mortal danger. As a murder manhunt closes in on the gang, can they prove their innocence before The Dean’s case collapses, and he comes looking for revenge? 

Netflix has ordered a three episode limited docuseries titled Arnold. The series will cover the life of actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger. The series premieres June 7. 

All eight episodes of the first part of Yellowstone Season 5 will be available to stream exclusively on Peacock May 25. Part one of the latest season of the cultural phenomenon will join all four previous seasons already available on the service. In season 5 the Dutton family fights to defend their ranch and way of life. Family secrets put strain on the Duttons, and political aspirations and outside partnerships threaten their future. 

The new season of Ghost Adventures premieres on Discovery Channel May 31. Each episode features the investigative team as they travel to haunted locations in search of evidence of the afterlife and meet with locals, eyewitnesses, and experts to piece together the haunted history of each site. Their comprehensive investigations use the latest scientific gadgets and technology to capture physical evidence of the paranormal and gain a better understanding of each supernatural mystery. It stars paranormal investigators Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley. 

Animated preschool series Barney’s World will premiere on Cartoonito on Cartoon Network and Max in 2024. The new series will revamp the iconic character for modern audiences. With all the heart and comfort of the original iconic dinosaur, the new series is modernized with dynamic characters and music-filled storylines that highlight themes of love, community, and encouragement. Set in a local playground, Barney is joined by dinos Billy and Baby Bop and their three kid best friends. Throughout silly and imaginative adventures together, Barney helps kids explore big preschool emotions and shows them how to love themselves and others. 

Ed Sheeran is set to perform at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards. Also performning are collaborations with Carly Pearce and Trisha Yearwood; Ashley McBryde featuring Brandy Clark, Caylee Hammack, Pillbox Patti, and John Osborne; Cole Swindell and Jo Dee Messina; and solo performances by this year’s top nominee HARDY and ACM Male Artist of the Year nominee Jordan Davis. They join the star-studded lineup of performers including Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Morgan Wallen, The War And Treaty, Lainey Wilson, and Bailey Zimmerman. Presenters include Gabby Barrett, BRELAND, Brandy Clark, Jordan Davis, Mickey Guyton, Tyler Hubbard, Dustin Lynch, T.J. Osborne, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, MacKenzie Porter, Dak Prescott, Emmitt Smith, Tanya Tucker, Keith Urban, and Trisha Yearwood. Hosted by Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, ‘Country Music’s Party of the Year’ will stream live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch on May 11. 

McGregor Forever premieres on Netflix May 17. The series charts superstar MMA fighter Conor McGregor’s epic journey back to the top of the UFC ladder. This four episode docuseries is an all-access look at this controversial superstar, along with the deeper history of what brought him to this point. 

One For All premieres on Prime Video May 25. The new four-part series follows Belgian superstars Thibaut Courtois, Axel Witsel and Romelu Lukaku.

Season two of The Tailor premieres on Netflix July 28. Peyami faces new challenges as his friendship with Dimitri is tested, Esvet spends more time at the house with Mustafa – and a new woman enters his life.

Season two of Mamas premieres on The Roku Channel May 12. Voiced by Connie Britton, this nature series follows powerful matriarchs of the animal kingdom. A unique perspective on how all mothers regardless of species love, cherish, and will put their lives on the line for their children. The Spanish version is voiced by Elsa Pataky. 

LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising premieres on Netflix June 1. Two teenagers from different worlds use their newly discovered Ninja powers to defend dragons from villains who want to use their life-force for evil.
