Apple TV+ has renewed Loot for a third season. Season three will continue to follow the antics of the beloved group of misfits at The Wells Foundation. The series stars Maya Rudolph, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Nat Faxon, Ron Funches and Joel Kim Booster.

Simone Biles Rising premieres July 17 on Netflix. Simone Biles has unfinished business. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she was one of the biggest stories leading into the Games. But in sport, as in life, competitions do not always go as planned. And for Simone, the world had a front row seat as her private struggle with mental health exploded on the international stage – forcing her to withdraw from the competition. Since then, Simone has put in the hard work: facing the difficult traumas of her past, learning to manage her mental health, embracing her journey, and in the process, rebuilding her gymnastics from the ground up. Her courage to soar knows no bounds as this summer she plans to return to the Olympic stage once again to do what she’s always done – be the best Simone that she can be. Because through it all, Simone still rises. Part two will premiere in the Fall.

Citadel: Diana premieres October 10 on Prime Video. Milan, 2030: Eight years ago, the independent global spy agency Citadel was destroyed by the powerful enemy syndicate, Manticore. Since then, Diana Cavalieri, an undercover Citadel agent, is alone, trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and the chance to disappear forever, the only way to do so is trusting the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani, the heir of Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian organization, Ettore Zani, who’s vying for leadership against the other European families. 

The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras premieres August 14 on MTV. In the monumental 40th Season, the path to glory is far from easy, as they must first compete at the Era Invitational and eliminate the weakest links from within their own Challenge Era for only the best will earn a coveted spot on their team. With relentless, new challenges and twists, these seasoned Veterans are perpetually kept on their toes in the game they thought they had mastered. 

Docuseries Worst Ex Ever premieres August 14 on Netflix. Composed of compelling testimonials, bodycam footage and animated reenactments, the series reveals the disturbing stories of monstrous past relationships. 

All twelve episodes of Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! dubbed in English will premiere July 17 on Crunchyroll. Adachi’s 30th birthday as a virgin came with the oddest gift—the ability to read the mind of anyone he touches. Pondering what to do with this mysterious power, he gets a lead when he accidentally reads his colleague Kurosawa’s mind. Turns out the handsome hotshot of the sales team has got a thing for him! How will Adachi respond to overhearing these affectionate thoughts?

Renovation series 100 Day Hotel Challenge premieres August 13 on HGTV. Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt will transform two dated hotels in the city of Salter Path on North Carolina’s Crystal Coast in just 100 days. During the six-episode showdown of the spouses, Brian and Mika will hold nothing back as they manage a tight three-month timeline, a budget of $225,000 each and their own team of HGTV all-stars to turn the tired 1950s family-owned properties, The Beacon Hotel (formerly known as The Salter Path Inn) and The William & Garland Motel, into charming waterside retreats just in time for the peak summer vacation season. Judges Drew and Jonathan Scott will pick the victorious spaces, including various guest rooms, the lobbies and the outdoor lounge areas, based on the following criteria: amenities, overall guest experience, design, hotel owners’ requests and room rate increases. While the weekly winning team will earn $5,000 for their chosen charity, the spouse who claims the top hotel at the end of the competition will walk away with bragging rights and $50,000 to the charity of their choice. 

Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes, Gaby Hoffmann, and Kumail Nanjiani are set to appear in the upcoming second season of Peacock’s Poker Face. They are the first announced guest stars for the upcoming season which saw many recognizable faces appear in the first season. Blessed with an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying, Charlie Cale investigates crimes she encounters on the road.

Colin Firth has joined the cast of Prime Video’s Young Sherlock. He joins Hero Fiennes, Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes and Natascha McElhone in the Sherlock Holmes origin series. 

Crunchyroll has added twenty sports-centric titles to its AVOD collection which will stream for free with ads on Crunchyroll without a paid membership plan through August 15. This includes every season of each show, excluding any movies or OVAs (original video animation), in every language available. The third and final season of Back to 15 premieres on Netflix August 21. A glitch on a photoblog causes the main character to travel back in time – this time around, she is 18. It’s 2009 and everyone is in college, facing the trials and tribulations of young adult life. Now a Visual Arts student, Anita will have to deal with dormitory life, wild college parties and the challenging passions of adulthood, all while trying to figure out who’s traveling back in time with her, and who’s preventing her from putting an end to Floguinho once and for all, so that she can take back control of her life. 

Investigation Discovery has renewed Lost Women and Feds from Academy Award Winner Octavia Spencer. Marking a new installment in the Lost Women franchise, this season will focus on the brutal murders of two Alaska Native women and the shocking investigation that led authorities to capture their sadistic killer. In addition, a new season of Feds will continue to take viewers inside America’s most elite crime fighting agency, the FBI.

Season two of true crime docuseries Betrayal premieres on hulu July 30. Betrayal: A Father’s Secret follows Ashley Lytton, a Utah wife and mother of three, as she unearths her husband Jason’s secret, leaving her fearing for her family’s safety and future. Following this devastating discovery, Ashley takes swift action to safeguard her family from the man she thought she knew best, unraveling a tangled web of dark truths along the way. 

The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards, the longest-running country music awards show, is set to take place on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. It will stream on Prime Video. Reba McEntire will return to host the monumental 60th anniversary, marking her 18th time at the helm, the most of any artist in Academy of Country Music history. Additional details, including award submissions and voting timeline, nominees, performers, ticket sale details, and additional ACM Awards week events, will be confirmed in the months ahead. 

Docuseries Chimp Crazy premieres on HBO August 18. Former nurse-turned-exotic animal broker Tonia Haddix, who refers to herself as the “Dolly Parton of chimps,” spends her days caring for animals in captivity. However, her limitless love for one chimpanzee in particular spins into a wild cat-and-mouse game with authorities and an animal rights group. Through Tonia’s and other “chimp mom” experiences, the series reveals the singular bonds that form between owners and their highly intelligent great ape pets. The series exposes the risks humans take when they try to raise these animals as members of their family, as well as the risks to the welfare of the animals themselves.
