Bosch: Legacy will be ending with its upcoming third season. The Prime Video/Amazon Freevee series was spun off of Bosch which ran for seven seasons. The final season will air in March 2025. The series will spin off a new series focusing on Renée Ballard which will premiere in Fall 2025.
Production on the sixth and final season of The Handmaid’s Tale has begun. The season is expected to premiere on hulu Spring 2025. Adapted from the classic novel by Margaret Atwood, the series is the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly the United States. Offred, one of the few fertile women known as Handmaids in the oppressive Republic of Gilead, struggles to survive as a reproductive surrogate for a powerful Commander and his resentful wife.
HBO has canceled We’re Here after four seasons. The series followed renowned drag queens, Sasha Velour, Priyanka, Jaida Essence Hall, and Latrice Royale, as they continued the show’s mission of spreading love and connection through the art of drag across small-town America.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will be shifting to four original episodes a week. Previous seasons of the late night NBC series saw five nights of original episodes.
MGM+ has canceled Beacon 23 after two seasons. The series took place in the farthest reaches of the Milky Way and followed Aster, a government agent, and Halan, a stoic ex-military man, whose fates became entangled after they found themselves trapped together inside one of many Beacons that served as a lighthouse for intergalactic travelers. The network has also canceled The Winter King after one season. Based on Bernard Cornwell’s Warlord Chronicles series, the series was set in the fifth century, long before Britain was united, in a brutal land of warring factions and tribes, where lives were often fleeting. It follows Arthur Pendragon as he evolves from outcast to legendary warrior and leader.
All ten episodes of Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale will premiere on Paramount+ September 26. Shin Jae-rim dreams of becoming a modern-day Cinderella and trading her current boring life for one of luxury and leisure. But landing her Prince Cha-min isn’t easy – not only is Moon Cha-min her boss, but he’s also engaged to another woman. Season five of All Creatures Great and Small premieres January 12 on PBS. The series will continue to bring the stories of James Herriot to life as we return to Darrowby to join our unconventional much-loved Skeldale Family and the colourful ensemble of farmers, animals and townsfolk living in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1940s. The series has already been renewed for a sixth season.
Hulu has ordered an Untitled Murdaugh Murders limited series. Patricia Arquette is set to star. The series is based on Maggie and Alex Murdaugh’s stranger-than-fiction family drama, a riveting account drawing from countless hours of reporting by Mandy Matney – journalist and creator of the popular “Murdaugh Murders Podcast” – as well as exclusive, insider knowledge from years spent following the case.
I Love a Mama’s Boy returns September 16 on TLC. The series follows five mamas’ boys who are grappling with the competing affections of their coddling, spoon-feeding mothers. Life After Lockup returns for a new season on WE tv October 4. The series follows seven former inmates and their significant others from Love After Lockup and Love During Lockup, continuing their journey to keep their love alive, establish a new life in the outside world and stay out of prison. The couples face parole restrictions including travel limitations, consorting with previously incarcerated individuals, combined with the temptations of alcohol and drugs. Meanwhile, couples who have stayed together grapple with the growing pains of love, family and marriage while navigating the emotional hurdles of trying to earn a living with a criminal record. Can they stay together and build a life outside of prison?
