Spy thriller Butterfly premieres August 13 on Prime Video with all six episodes. The series starring Daniel Dae Kim is based on the BOOM! Studios’ graphic novel series created by Arash Amel. It is a character-driven spy thriller that explores complex family dynamics within the treacherous world of global espionage. It’s centered on David Jung, an enigmatic, highly unpredictable former US intelligence operative living in South Korea, whose life is blown to pieces when the consequences of an impossible decision from his past come back to haunt him, and he finds himself pursued by Rebecca, a deadly, sociopathic young agent assigned to kill him, and Caddis, the sinister spy organization she works for. It stars Daniel Dae Kim, Reina Hardesty, Piper Perabo, and Louis Landau.
The Institute premieres July 13 on MGM+. The series follows the story of teen genius Luke Ellis who is kidnapped and awakens at The Institute, a facility full of children who all got there the same way he did, and who are all possessed of unusual abilities. Dragon Ball Daima will be joining adult swim’s Toonami lineup June 14 at 12:30am. Lazarus will kick off the night at 12. The lineup will be followed by Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, Blue Exorcist, One Piece, Naruto and Sailor Moon.
Samuel L. Jackson is in talks to lead NOLA King for Paramount+. The series would be a spinoff of Tulsa King in the Taylor Sheridan universe. Jackson will likely appear in Tulsa King ahead of the new series.

Octavia Spencer returns to her Southern roots this summer in the new home cooking competition Family Recipe Showdown July 17 on Food Network. Set in New Orleans, Octavia serves as the host of the series which also features Southern cooking royalty Edgar “Dook” Chase as the resident expert. Each episode welcomes family duos to the kitchen as they prepare their most cherished recipes for a $10,000 prize. Together, Octavia and Dook sample the dishes before being joined in the final round by a rotating panel of guest judges and Octavia’s celebrity friends – including Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Chastain, Danielle Brooks, Eric Stonestreet, Tina Knowles, Kandi Burruss, Tim Gunn, and Al Roker with his daughter Leila.

Nickelodeon has acquired animated series Mr. Crocodile. The series is based on the beloved French children’s book Monsieur Crocodile a Beaucoup Faim (Mister Crocodile is Very Hungry) by Joann Sfar. It follows the toothy, loveable Mr. Crocodile, alongside his best friend Daisy, as he cheerfully navigates life with boundless enthusiasm and comical misunderstandings due to his instinctive crocodile logic.
