HBO has renewed Rooster for a second season. The series is a comedy set on a college campus centering on an author’s (Steve Carell) complicated relationship with his daughter (Charly Clive). The series also stars Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley, and Lauren Tsai.
CBS has ordered its comedy pilot Eternally Yours to series. The series is an eternal love story about two vampires who have been married for five hundred years, and their struggles to accept the human who is dating their daughter. The network also officially passed on its other comedy pilot The Tillbrooks (fka Regency).
Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy and James Lance are joining the cast of Wednesday as guest stars. Production on the third season of the Netflix series is currently underway near Dublin, Ireland. They join previously announced new S3 cast members including Eva Green, Winona Ryder, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer, as well as returners Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams) and more. Additional details will be released at a later date.

Kerry Condon will star in Netflix’s The God of the Woods, a new series adaptation of the New York Times’ bestselling novel by Liz Moore. The series is a multi-generational drama series set in the Adirondacks, exploring the Van Laar family’s dark secrets, class tensions, and the mysteries surrounding the disappearance of 13 year old Barbara Van Laar from her family’s summer camp – in the wake of an earlier family tragedy that may be related. As the past and present collide, the Van Laars’ wealth and influence unravel, revealing the damaging consequences of privilege and the abuse of power. Condon joins previously announced Maya Hawke.
Amanda Arcuri and Ian Quinlan have been promoted to series regulars on Sheriff Country for its upcoming second season. The two previously recurred on the CBS series.

CBS will air Artemis II Return to Earth April 10 7:30-8:30 PM, ET. Jericka Duncan will anchor the special to mark the return of Artemis II following a 10-day trip around the moon and back. The Friday lineup of new episodes will be pushed back a half hour with Sheriff Country airing at 8:30, followed by Fire Country at 9:30 and Boston Blue at 10:30.
The Ultimate Fighter returns with a thrilling new season featuring a pair of UFC Hall of Famers competing head-to-head as coaches, when former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier goes up against former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping. The series will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Latin America and Australia on Sunday, June 14, the same day as UFC Freedom 250, with new episodes premiering every Tuesday for the remainder of the 12-episode season.

Rich Eisen returns to Bristol, Conn., to host SportsCenter at midnight ET Sunday into Monday, April 13, reconnecting with the program where he became a fan favorite. This marks Eisen’s second return to host SportsCenter and his first time back at ESPN headquarters in more than 20 years. Eisen will also host The Rich Eisen Show from ESPN’s New York studios on Monday and Tuesday from noon-3 p.m. ET on Disney+ and ESPN Radio.
ESPN announced an update to its 2025-26 NBA regular-season schedule with two matchups presented by State Farm on the final day of the regular season as part of its Advil Playoff Push coverage. On Sunday, April 12, the Boston Celtics, led by four-time All NBA First Team selection Jayson Tatum and NBA All Star starter Jaylen Brown, host the Orlando Magic and Paolo Banchero at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN. The back end of the doubleheader features the Denver Nuggets, led by three-time NBA MVP and league rebounding and assist leader Nikola Jokić, visiting the San Antonio Spurs and De’Aaron Fox at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.
TNT Sports and DAZN announced a groundbreaking new partnership that will bring some of the biggest fights in boxing live to TNT Sports and DAZN platforms in the United States, creating a new series of premium events and expanding access for fans nationwide. The collaboration will feature monthly major boxing events branded The Fight and promoted in partnership with the leading sports entertainment platform, DAZN, and its roster of premier boxing promoters, including Top Rank, Matchroom Boxing, Golden Boy Promotions, and Queensberry Promotions, among others. The first event is scheduled for Independence Day, Saturday, July 4, 2026, and will launch a showcase of elite boxing across TNT Sports and DAZN platforms. Details on participating fighters, venues, and broadcast schedules will be announced at a later date.
Three part docuseries My Killer Father: The Green Hollow Murders will premiere April 28 on Paramount+.
