Emily’s relationship with Daniel started out as a plot for revenge, but over time it became increasingly obvious there is more going on. Nolan, Jack, her Japanese trainer friend – they’ve all realized the depth of the feelings she’s trying to hide. Daniel is more than a spoiled, drunk rich boy. He’s changed his life for the better and is just wound up in a life of lies and secrets like Emily is. They’re suffering for the sins of their parents, the sins of their fathers, and daddy issues are a great foundation for a soapy relationship. If Daniel knew the truth behind what really happened with David Clarke, we have a feeling he’d wind up on Team Emily.
Also, Daniel has brought stability, comfort, and companionship to her life and she does the same for him. And judging from last week’s flashback where Emily once told Daniel he was better than his family, we’ve got a feeling she truly believes that and would never do anything to purposely hurt him. Daniel just may be the thorn in her side that throws her entire plan off kilter.

Agree with pretty much all of them (from the shows I watch), although when it comes to The Vampire Diaries I’m firmly rooting for Damon and Elena.
