Upfronts 2015-16: ABC Renews ‘OUAT’; ‘Agent Carter’, ‘SHIELD’, ‘Scandal’ and More; Cancels ‘Forever’ and ‘Resurrection’

To the surprise of no one, ABC has ordered a fifth season of its hit drama Once Upon A Time. Adam Horowitz, one of the show’s executive producers and creators, announced the good news on Twitter Thursday evening. It’s the first and only ABC show to officially be added to the slate for 2015-16, but we’re guessing other renewal news will continue to trickle in over the next few hours. We’ll continue to update this post as news breaks.

Update 9:42 pm EST: Freshmen drama Forever has been canceled.

Update 10:00 pm EST: Cristela has been canceled after one season.

Update 10:05 pm EST: Resurrection has been canceled after two seasons along with reality series The Taste.

Update 10:17 pm EST: American Crime, Black-ish, Dancing with the Stars, Fresh Off the Boat, Galavant, The Goldbergs, Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, Marvel’s Agent Carter, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Middle, Modern Family, Nashville, Scandal, Secrets and Lies and Shark Tank have all been renewed.

Correction 5:45 am:  ABC has not announced the fate of Last Man Standing.

Update May 11, 7:38 am: Last Man Standing has officially been renewed for Season 5.

The network previously announced this would be the final season for Revenge, which will end its four season run on May 10. Manhattan Love Story and Selfie were canceled in the fall.

  1. So happy “Once” is renewed; this past season has been a vast improvement from last season; I love the split-season storylines. It’s working out so well for them.
